Falafel Inc - FALAFEL SANDWICH and ZAATAR FRIES

Falafel Inc

I tried the falafel Sandwich with Za'atar fries. For the falafel sandwich, I paired with invisible…read moresauce which made for a spicy taste to the sandwich. I loved how affordable it was. I was able to both items for ~$9. The sandwich was $4.50 and the fries $4. Za'atar fries weren't the freshest, but the seasoning blend (which consisted of dry herbs) on them made for an unique taste. Can substitute protein with a vegan shawarma that seems to made in-house. I ordered online and it was easy plus I was able to customized my order. This location is in the midst of the University of Maryland area and has parking in front of building to easily get in and out. It is located right over Baltimore Ave. The facility is clean and it is takeout only.

In the articulated thoughts of Loki, "to become a Goddess in fact as well as name?" Falafel Inc., launched in Georgetown in 2017 by a Palestinian-American, Ahmad Ashkar, began with a similar thought-provoking premise: What if he could honor his mother's falafel, his heritage, and make a difference on a worldwide scale in the refugee crisis, not just with donations to programs like World Food Programme but with employment and even franchisee-ownership opportunities for refugees? In the not-so-halcyon days of 2024, a franchise location opened up just off of Baltimore Avenue in College Park, Maryland; and the restaurant's trademarked, delicious and affordable schwarma, pita, and, verily (to invoke Thor-speak), falafel became a reality for our own Terrapin-populated community (at least during the fall and spring). With fast, kind, service and scrumptious and memorable food, infused with the knowledge that the founder's mission for social outreach will always remain a commitment, what are you waiting for? Only the baklava is bite-sized, three bites to be precise.

So, it's been a while since my family and I last went out to eat at a restaurant, and we landed on…read morethis one since it was both nearby and the prices reasonable for the fare that they offer. My wife and I had been here for lunch before and had a good experience, so this time we figured why not check it out for dinner? Turns out, it was a great idea. The wait for the food was a bit on the longer end, but to be perfectly fair, we ordered a LOT, so we certainly didn't mind. By the time the food hit the table, we forgot about it almost entirely because the smells of freshly made kitfo, lamb tibs, and this stewed chicken dish whose name I can't remember (but it came with a hardboiled egg!) hit our nose, nothing else mattered. The food was presented in a way that somehow matched the overall vibe of the restaurant, which at this time of night was set to be kinda toned down with dingy lighting and smooth music. Huge call out to my waiter that I curse myself for not getting his name, because he is, simply put, the best server I've ever had at a restaurant. Not only was he timely and discreet about topping off our waters, but also checked in about soft drinks as well, and when he heard my son saying the food was too spicy for him, he took it upon himself to get him something else to eat that wasn't spicy at all, and without myself or my wife asking. If you're looking for a great place to eat with a killer atmosphere and even better service, you've found it.

For a long time, I was very anti-spending a certain amount for a salad, but THIS was worth it. My…read morecoworkers would occasionally eat at Sweetgreen, and the FOMO I was feeling made me want to try it, so I did. I did an online order for pickup so i didnt get to interact with anyone or the space. I ordered the harvest bowl but customized it to my liking. To my harvest bowl I added spicy broccol, pickled onions, avocado, i replaced the goat cheese with parmesan and removed the balsamic vigera for the Lime Cilantro Jalapeno Vinaigrette, spicy cashew sauce, and green goddess ranch on the side. My salad was so good, I needed some privacy. It was also a good amount of food. I couldn't finish my food, so I actually saved half of it to eat an hour later :). I will most definitely be back and try some of the other bowls and salads !

So fresh and clean!…read more I travel a lot for work. I also think too much about what to eat, where, and when. Hello Sweetgreen! This chain is very consistent. Honestly, no matter which one I go to I am always satisfied with the care they put into each of the ingredients and recipes. I can always count on it to be a consistent and healthy meal. Food: I don't remember what I got from this location but it SLAPPED! I think it was a local Protein plate! Yummy! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. *Parking: There's plenty of parking considering it's on a college campus!
