I had been craving this place for a few days because someone brought the place up at work and when we went to order, it was closed. So a few days later when I was off I ordered takeout for my wife and I. It was well worth it. We had the Texas roll but substituted the shrimp for crab meat, the Alvarez roll and California roll. We upsized each order by adding a combo which came with chicken fried rice and the other order with vegetable fried rice. It was plentiful. We had enough food to eat later. The price is a bit high for Laredo but the quality of the food makes it worth it. To me, it was the most authentic fried rice I've tasted in Laredo and better than the other sushi spots around town that I've tried. I won't name names. Lol! The customer service was great. The person over the phone was patient with me and worked with me to get my order just right. When I went in to pick it up he was polite and offered to bring the food to the car when it was ready. He also greeted me with a smile and spoke English. This is rare in Laredo. Lol! I'd say if your in for good sushi and can afford to spend a little extra for quality, give it a try. I walked into a non-impressive place with helpful but non-IT-oriented staff who were not aware of my online order. The order had to be redone for them to expedite it. Their Alvarez roll was surprisingly good, with great texture and flavor for the tuna and salmon, as well as their chilis torreados sauce on the side. Would return for an encore experience. read more

First of all I would like to thank the man who took my order over the phone. He was very polite. Second, FREE DELIVERY!!!! I order a Villarreal roll combo and it arrived very fast. (The delivery man was also very nice) I was able to pay with my card when they came to deliver my food. I even received a receipt via email. When I opened the plate it smelled and looked so delicious. The roll was so good. I am also very picky when it comes to the rice that comes with sushi, but this is the first time that I can say I really liked the rice with chicken. It's hard to see but this is a hidden gem. My family and I love the sushi here and the prices are unmatched. The special that you can order everyday is more than enough and has everything you could need. I have food allergies and am completely vegan. I went to this restaurant because I was traveling out of town for work. I explained the situation to my server who had no clue what I was talking about. The salad I ordered came with bacon on it. I told them that I didn't want meat or dairy, and they didn't do anything. I also order edamame and veggie sushi rolls. As much as I want to give them a 1 star, I can't. Walked in at 3:23 pm, ordered only steamed rice and chicken. At 3:50 I had to leave to go back to work. The waiter was super nice. I would like to punch the cooks in the face. Come on. This is the third time I have eaten here. The food is excellent and the wait staff is wonderful. Today was a big disappointment. I will look for another restaurant.
