Not as advertised. Greasy deep fried shrimp. The menu online shows peel and eat sautéed shrimp. Manager refused to admit there was a problem $18.00 down the toilet. read more

Chopstick House - Look at the menu. Salt and pepper shrimp? NOT Completely different dishes. Save your money. Dont eat here - Chinese Near Me - London, Ontario

Despite its humble and aged exterior, this establishment delivers some of the most outstanding Chinese fast food in the city, making it a contender for the best in town. A true standout of the menu is the fried wings - the absolute highlight of my visit. Coated in a blend of curry and assorted spices, the batter has an amazing light and crispy texture, while the chicken remains nice and juicy. This dish is undoubtedly a must-try and a personal favorite. Unfortunately the Pad Thai was just okay but that why you stick you Chinese food at a Chinese spot. Not the worst Pad Thai you'll have but there is much better elsewhere. Don't led the run down ambience fool you as this spot serves remarkable Chinese fast food. If you're looking for a quick and tasty meal this is the spot to go. read more

Hit and miss at best. It all depends on when you order if you'll get fresh food, refried food from the day before or a mix of both. Last Christmas Eve it was the best Chinese we had in a long time. We ordered it 6 months later and I couldn't believe how awful it was. Everything fried had been refried. Things were hard, dry and tasted like old oil. We haven't ordered since and I don't think we will ever again. read more

Awful absolutely awful- what was once a great London institution after changing hands is now one of the worst restaurants in the city. On New Year's Eve, we always ordered from chopstick house, and the order that we got this year was not what we have ever received before. If I wanted to have torpedo shrimp out of the box from Metro, I would've gone to Metro or gotten them out of my freezer. The chow meins were disgusting not enough food and full of corn starch. The whole experience was absolutely nasty and I would never ever order from there again, and I highly recommend that nobody else does. 100.00 barley got 2 people enough to eat. Disgusting to say the least. When we called to ask her money back and get the food back, I was met with someone who would just use the word no! That being said happy new year. read more

We orederes this and we only regret ordering pad thai, so when you come to a chinese food house you order chinese food . Lesson learned read more

Chopstick House - Pad thai is like sweet and sour noodles like literally the nottled sweet and sour sauce. But the rest is filling. - Chinese Near Me - London, Ontario

This was without a doubt the WORST Chinese food I have ever tried to eat! We ordered a variety of items/nearly $60 worth and had to throw it all in the trash! Contacted the restaurant and they refused to give a refund. Don't wast time or money with this place. read more

Garbage food! Received the wrong noodle dish, chicken instead of beef. They took down the wrong address and had to call to find the right house. Ribs were breaded? I've never seen seen breaded spare ribs before. Tai dop voy is suppose to be beef, chicken, pork and shrimp. Well I guess it was, but only 1 piece each and the rest were veggies. Was on hold for 15 mins to correct my order. They took back the wrong food without a discount or apology. Worst Chinese food experience ever! Avoid this place at all costs! -10 read more

This take-out and delivery only shop is a london must get. The food quality and portions are outstanding, their delivery is fast, the drivers are quick with a joke, polite and well dressed. The combo dinner options are a great value. Nice people, great food fast delivery ....what else could you possibly want in a restaurant? Trust me it is well worth your time and money. Placed an order thru Just-Eat and after waiting 90 mins, called the restaurant to find out "they had not received my order" despite my having a confirmation email. What's the point of offering online ordering if you cannot honour or process the orders? read more

At least 4 Happinesses out of 5. I withheld one Happiness because the food doesn't come in the Chinese takeout boxes. Get with the times! It's supposed to come like that; however, Chopstick House is a London institution. It's been around since the 60s I think. Same house front. Same pick up room. It's quick, dependable, and fairly cheap. Warning: YOU NEED TO ORDER FOOD EARLY ON NEW YEARS EVE! IT IS THEIR MOST POPULAR NIGHT OF THE YEAR. YOU THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A GOOD NIGHT TO STAY IN AND ORDER CHINESE. SO DID THE REST OF LONDON! Well, to say I am a fan of greasy Chinese would be an understatement. I'm in love with "The Noodle" or spicy beef chow mein as it's more commonly known. The noodles just aren't the same here in SF. At Chopstick house they're the nice thin chow mein noodles that get a little hard when fried in the wok. I also miss the number 4. Fried rice and a bunch of other fried stuff, but it was easy to order it: Number 4. That's all you have to say. Also try the Chicken Triangles. They're like fried won tons with chicken salad inside. It sounds gross, but believe me, it's delightful. The Pad Thai is not bad either considering that it's a Chinese restaurant. read more

Honestly just not great food. Delivery was prompt and food was hot so that was great but otherwise, not really worth it. The chicken was dry and breaded to the point that it was hard to actually bite through. Fried rice tasted very oily and salty. Very bland and thickly fried. Hope it improves! read more

Ordered delivery Chinese for when we finished hockey, unfortunately they confused 6pm with 5.15 and showed up 45 mins early. Which meant it all had to be reheated. The white rice which came with the Szechuan Beef was dry, the beef was okay but a little less beef and some vegetables would be nice! Don't order the honey rib pieces, mostly gristle & bone! read more

Decided to try Chopstick House as it was too late and other places were closed. Was very disappointing experience, the food was greedy and lack of flavour. The egg rolls are too fatty the special fried rice had no flavour and wasn't fresh. Would not EVER try their food read more

I don't know where to begin. The chicken pad Thai isn't eatable, the chicken is rubbery, noodles are cheap, i don't know what kind of sauce was on it but it was awful, it's the worst pad Thai ever. The lemon Chicken was even worse, nowhere to anything even close to any you might get anywhere, mall food court lemon chicken is a hundred times better than this. Everything was so pricy I thought this food was going to be a treat but it turned out so bad. We threw away nearly all of it. Lemon chicken + pad Thai + 2 spring rolls = $35? The only eatable thing was the fortunate cookies!!!!! read more

I have lived near the Chopstick House for over ten years and they have been a staple in our take-out experiences. When we first moved to the area, the Chopstick House had excellent food but over the years they have gotten worse. We have narrowed our meal choices from them as, time after time, the dishes became consistently sub-par. Issues: Spice - we would order the same level of spice every time (mid range) while some meals would be spicy and others would be non-existent. Ingredients - our noodle meals used to be filled with loads of meat and vegetables but now barely have any. They just seem to be a plate of bare noodles. Overall quality - dishes used be be saucy and flavourful but now come dry and bland. Our last order of spicy chicken chow mein came so dry, it was like a brick of plain noodles; we ended up cutting it into portions, much like you would meat loaf. The taste was so bland that I couldn't get past a few bites. I honestly would have been happier with a package of "Mr. noodles." Where once I would give the Chopstick House five stars, I am hard pressed to give it two. read more

horrible food, expensive, would give it 0 stars if i could. they wouldnt allow me to buy chicken with noodles instead of beef chow mein..... and my friend got butterfly shrimp that looked like drumsticks and he paid 20 dollars for them read more

SO, don't order food after 9pm. That's when it's not up to par. I moved to the city 5 years ago, and this is my go to for Chinese. They manage their own delivery from Skip/Just-Eat and it's actually cheaper to just call them and order. Never waited more then 45 minutes. Chicken is never microwave-y like a lot of Chinese places. read more

Amazzing! Very generous portions and came very hot! Will definately be ordering from here again in the very near future!

Tonight I ordered the beef chow mein, General Tao's chicken and veg spring rolls. All the food was terrible. All people who tried the food hated it. The spring rolls tasted like mr. noodles, the chow mein had no flavor and what they tried to pass for General Tao's chicken would make General Tao roll over in his grave. They used the cheapest meat they could and just served poorly made chicken balls that were 90% batter. After opening the food we called them because we thought they gave us the wrong dish and it took them 10 minutes to explain to us that their General Tao's was just chicken balls with sauce on the side. If I could leave a 0 star review I would. I've eaten here for the last 10 years but in the past 2 years their service has become horrible. Never eating there again. read more

The best chicken Pad Thai in the city. It's a go to place once a week. The rest of the menu is good too , always order the house specialty dishes and have never been dissatisfied. I will always drop in and order never waiting more than 10 minutes for it to be ready. Put this place on speed dial. read more

My favorite place for Chinese food in the city! ! A little bit pricy but totally worth every penny! . Food is always hot and fresh. Staff are always rushed but still friendly. Some favorite dishes are the szchuen beef the bok choy the chicken fried rice pork chop suey and they have the best egg rolls and sweet n sour chicken balls! Definitely a must try! read more

Used to be one of the top places to get good canadian chinese food, something has happened over the last few years...?? Don't know if the cook has changed, or what... but the food is substandard, rarely get food from there anymore. Food is reasonably priced, just not what it used to be... would give them 2.5 stars, if possible, had to round up. read more

1 star, simply terrible. The order was placed at 520pm and here I stand at 830pm writing this review. I was assured it would arrive at 7pm and then upon calling again, guaranteed to be here at 815pm. I wasn't expecting authentic Chinese food or anything, tbh I was expecting something along the lines of Manchu Wok or some other kind of white washed Chinese fast food (which I think is still pretty good). However, this place had the oiliest food I have ever had. They literately had shrimp that were about 2-3cm long breaded in oily underdone batter that was 2 cm thick. Everything tasted like it was drenched in oil. The fried wontons were over fried to a crisp. Also, pretty much everything I got tasted vaguely like sweet and sour sauce. The food wasn't even salty, everything was just really really bland (and oily). The general tao chicken was supposed to taste spicy but it was sweet and sour. The spareribs had like no meat on it, it was pretty much just pieces of cartilage that were so heavily breaded and sauced (oh and they were really oily too). The only thing that didn't have an over whelming amount of oil was the dry steam rice. Overall, food quality was not that good, would have been ok if it were less oily. So if you are going to order, I would suggest getting things that sound light. Stay away from anything deep-fried or breaded. read more

Where's the beef? New owners have ruined the food. Used to be our favourite Chinese in London. Beef Szechuan is now terrible! Mostly just vegetables and have to search for a morsel of anemic looking beef. Appears they are trying to cut costs by cutting quality of food. Now we have to search for new Chinese takeout. read more

Chopstick House is like storybook, even more so than those clear, blue lakes up in Chengdu (or so I'm told). The food here is delicious and not too greasy. It is one of the best places to get take out in the city. read more

3rd favorite Chinese joint in Ontario. Spicy Beef Chow Mein and their eggrolls are awesome

The food used to be amazing but the restaurant is recently under new ownership and the food is absolute garbage. The fried rice wasn't right - very bland and not even fried. The Honey garlic sauce looked and tasted like dish soap. It was horrible. Will never order from there again. read more

We have been happy and loyal Chopstick House customers for years up until tonight. I don't know what has happened to this restaurant, but after placing our regular order tonight, the food we received was nothing like the usual tasty fare.. Put simply, it was horrible. We ordered Teriyaki beef which in the past was a delicious dish we had enjoyed immensely.. What we got was a few pieces of stringy overcooked beef swimming in what can only be described as a gluey substance with an excessive amount of salt added for flavouring. The Chow Mein was like the whole meal,so salty that it overwhelmed any flavour the vegetables may have originally had. The Lo Mein we were used to had been replaced with something resembling noodles and veg in a salt sauce. The disappointing thing is that for many years we were loyal customers, but after this, we will never order from here again. A total waste of money and I'm still hungry. My recommendation is to give this place a wide berth. read more

Spent $45 at this place. When I got the food the 'Special' rice was half the portion size of any other restaurant in this city which is nothing compared to the 'Beef' and Vegetable Lo-Mein. You will notice the quotation marks there since, when I opened the container there were two or three small, gristly, pieces of meat in the thing. When I called to complain not only was I put on hold repeatedly but, when I managed to speak to the owner, he said that he had the thing himself and that there was plenty of meat in his. Upon my reply that mine had far less he said he could make more for me, if I came and picked it up. I informed him that I had had it delivered in the first place to which he said they were no longer delivering that night...at quarter to seven! He then offered to 'give me a credit or something' for the future at which point I hung up. Total rip off, total waste of time and the food was average at best. read more
