I first met with Lilly at the front with a very warm welcome. Next, I saw Delia for my consult. My hair is so thin and fine due to loss of hair from recent stress and life. After careful review and over 30 minutes of consulting with me, she explained that I was not a good candidate for the type of extensions she does. With that said, she ask me to wait while she consults with another co-worker. Alyssa came over and talked to me about other ways to install hair extensions and she felt like she could help me. As it turned out they just happened to have my exact color in the shop that day (they normally have to order your color). So, she played around and showed me what the outcome could look like. She just so happened to have an opening the following Tuesday for me to come in. This is normally a 3 plus hour appointment, but she made it happen. Perfect timing as I was leaving on Thursday for Atlanta for family celebrating, then the following Thursday for Vegas for vacation. She spent 5 hours with me and my hair looks Amazing. I've been to a lot of Korean salons in K-towns, and they still messed it up and charged me ridiculously. So I did some reseaching and found Gordan at the mad hatter salon in Hinesville, GA! When I came in for my appointment, Gordan, my stylist knew exactly what to do. He asked me what are my highest and the lowest expectations, and explained the possibilities of how the result might turn out realistically. After 6 and a half hours of long process, he magically turned my brassy dry looking hair into healthy vibrant magenta & purple hair without damaging it. I couldn't believe it's my hair that is now so beautiful lol. (Oh, btw the mad hatter uses OLAPLEX for hair coloring to prevent damaging it too much, which is a huge plus!!!) Overall I'm more than happy with the result. Gordan made me feel comfortable (He didn't rush and took his time), he was fun and easy going. Most importantly he didn't charge me an arm or a leg. When I called the make the appointment, someone answered quickly, suggested the best time in relation to the start of my event, and even told me the names of the students that would be working with me and gave me the prices. Obviously, the pricing is much better than your traditional services. The students were very nice, talked through everything that you wanted, helped with suggestions, and asked their instructors for additional advice, if needed. I recently called and booked another appointment for another even I have next month and booking process was easy. They didn't tell me who I would be with this time, but I think the students that worked with me last time have both graduated. Hoping my next appointment is as good as the last was. Be prepared for it to take a little while, as they might work through a little slower than you'd expect at a typical salon, but you know they are students - that should be expected. The location is a bit confusing, as it is in Citadel Mall, but not specifics to where in the mall. Just FYI, it's right outside of Belk. I appreciated the chill environment without extra pressure, and of course, saving some money in the process.
