Went to Chop & Go after a workout class for a quick healthy meal on my way home and opted for the Kale Caesar with Chipotle Caesar dressing. I don't like tomatoes so I swapped for the sweet potatoes as well. The staff is super friendly and doesn't skimp on the service which I appreciate compared to other establishments. This review is for the Chelsea location. After I broke up with Just Salad across the street, I was really hoping Chop & Go would be my new work boyfriend. I've been getting romaine, brown rice, steak, pepper jack, corn, red onion, and tomatoes with the chipotle vinaigrette. The Scarlet Vetter says......not a whole lot to report on here. While out of town for travel, our business team decided to order from this facility for our lunch via Uber eats. I ordered the chimichanga steak salad with extra avocado and falafel. I would say the salad was mediocre. There was very little steak in it. The avocados did not present attractively, and the falafel was buried at the bottom of the salad. Thus, by the time we received the order from the Uber eats delivery driver, the falafel was soggy. At first, I did not even think that they put the falafel in the salad until I was digging around in the salad and found some of the falafel balls on the bottom. The delicious green salad dressing saved this review. It was superb. I might try this place again and see whether this was just an anomaly or standard fare as others in my group said they had eaten from this facility before, and the salads are generally very good. read more

I was very pro Chop & Go when I noticed it popped up on John St. last year. I loved their spicy cauliflower salad. HOWEVER, I tried to go again 3+ times this year. Mediocre salads and disgusting food conditions to say the least. One time I saw a bug flying around the salad toppings. Another time, a worker had their friend meeting them and was more concerned with talking across the room, breathing all over the salad, and without wearing a mask or harinet, while shouting to their friend across the room. If they did wear gloves (I think they did?) that would be the best thing I had to say as of late. 1. Please bring back the spicy cauliflower salad 2. I ordered delivery from Chop & Go on three different occasions, and each time the preparation was different. In the first order, they skimped on the cilantro brown rice even though it was supposed to be a base. In the second order, there was too much dressing (I chose medium dressing every time I ordered). In my most recent order (pictured), they skimped on the cotija cheese and the dressing, so the salad was dry. They say third time's the charm, but it sadly wasn't for Chop & Go. read more

The salads and grain bowls here are not as good as Sweetgreen but way better than Chopt and Just Salad. It's closer to my apartment than the nearest Sweetgreen so I end up coming here fairly often. I've tried a few different items on their menu but my favorite so far is the Thai crunch bowl. I like that it's actually spicy (like Asian spicy, not American spicy). I've been here probably about 6 times so far, and every experience has been outstanding! Everything so far has had good flavor and came in a generous portion. But what really makes this place stand out to me is the service - as someone that gets lots of takeout from numerous places, I find Chop & GO to be one of the most well-operated food establishments I've ever experienced. Even at peak lunch times, workers are always energetic and motivated, ingredients are always prepped and in stock, the bowls, implements, etc are always washed and ready, and even the check-out experience is quick.
