Really cool small town bar! I like this place for the atmosphere and the food is pretty good as well. The chicken wings are the best, get them every time. They also have a chicken buffet that is pretty good, nothing elaborate but good. I would definitely recommend stopping in for a drink and food if you've never been here before. read more

When we walked in we were greeted by a old stack of chairs that were broken sitting in the hall and the smell of stale beer, we sat down at a table under a light with cobwebs dangling off it, the waitress finally came to take our drink order and give us our menu, after bringing out our drinks she mumbled something about a buffet in the other room than left without taking our food order. We sat and waited for a half hour or more for her to come back and she didn't even glance in the direction of her table, when we finally decided to leave and go somewhere else and went to pay for our drinks our waitress was not apologetic what so ever and seemed happy we were leaving, saying she was supposed to get off work two hours ago. I can not tell you if the food was good because we clearly never got that far, the service was terrible, and the atmosphere was dirty. Never again. read more

They have great wings and I miss the wet rub Jamaican jerk, but they still have plenty of others. They put BWW to shame.

I can't tell you the last time I sent food back and didn't want anything to replace it. Food tasted like it had been in the fridge for a week, potatoes were like glue , soda was flat overall not worth the time and money. Customer service was horrible and not once did we see a manager when sent back the food. White Castle burgers would have been better. Not much happening here when i have been. Cheap beers and regulars. There is a newer patio outside with a nice fire pit. If you want to just roll into a local bar for a pint, this is fine. read more

Cute bar and grill. Limited menu but it was good. Full bar. They didn't squelch on alcohol. My one drink made me tipsy.

Love the choo choo. Great wings, great cocktails, and ice cold beer. The kitchen closes pretty early, but when it is open they always make great food. Him the bartender is a stand up guy. Can't ever go wrong here, especially if you get the choo choo wings. read more

The caboose is a great feature of the restaurant, but the lighting and up dating in their could be better. The bathrooms need air fresheners for the smell. The patio is a great feature in the spring, summer and fall...it has a gas fire pit for chilly evening which is a great addition. On another note the food is fantastic, best wings around.(try the choo choo original) Good choice of tap beer and service was fantastic. Experienced horrible service and took too long to get our food which wasn't even prepared properly or as was requested. They took the food back and essentially just reheated it. Our meals should've been remade, not reheated. It may have been busy, but it isn't an excuse for the type of service we received. read more

Horrible customer service from the owner. One night the place was super busy, only one waitress working, and the owner was not doing anything but playing pool all night while customers were waiting 45 min + to get their food. The food is okay, prices are okay, service horrible. I would not support this business again. Met some family there for dinner. Fun atmosphere and the waitresses where great, but shame on the manager for letting the bar get so dirty and dusty. The wood ceiling is caked, I mean caked with dust hanging down and all over the fire sprinkler heads. Now I wonder how clean the kitchen is. Won't go back. Too dirty. read more

Moved to MN from East Coast. Miss home but Choo Choos is actually one of the best things we've run into - not fake MN snooty nice - actually nice people!!! REALLY GREAT SERVERS - nice people; usually fun regulars, and GREAT FOOD across all the categories (we've tried everything)... Plus they customize stuff for us if the request is reasonable, polite and I tip them really well - LOL. The wait staff are patient as saints with the kids running thru, families, older couples dropping in; friends & couples hanging out on weekends, etc. - great place to relax and be happy. NOT for hoity toity people - you won't like it that they aren't kissing your high falutin butt while you forget to say please or thank you and tip them lousy after you were pretty high maintenance all night. The walleye dinner is to die for and if you get their BLT with chips (and double bacon) you won't want anyone else's. Oh, and the wings and burgers do rock ('m not a big chicken dinner fan so wont weigh in their) and the Monday night crab special ROCKS. While I am morally offended by the change in risotto recipe, I am trying to move past that & forgive them. Try the apple crisp. AND BE NICE!
