My written order from my doctor stated "Do not eat or drink for 3 hours prior to appointment. May sip WATER only." My internet search results state that saliva has no bearing as far as the digestive track is concerned for a liver ultrasound. No matter, at the time it was obvious to me that they did not want me there, just like the feeling I got from that place during my first visit. Why? I don't know, maybe because I am Hispanic? I don't know and I don't like to accuse people of racism, it's not how I was raised. But, I do have a great dislike of paying for unwelcoming, entitled people who act like they are better than you, and maybe, don't even like their jobs dealing with the public. I will never go back there and there are plenty of these businesses that will gladly take my money without treating me like dirt. If you are of minority ancestry, do yourself a favor and go to Simon Med or anywhere else to be treated like a decent human being.

Last Friday, I called requesting detailed reports from three prior pelvic ultrasounds because I am currently facing a significant medical issue and had an appointment with a new specialist. I clearly explained that I needed the full reports so my doctor could review my complete history and understand the progression of my condition. I was told I would receive them Monday. Monday passed and I received nothing. On Tuesday morning, I called again and was told there was no record of my request. I was promised it would be sent within two hours. It wasn't. I called again and spoke to the same person, who again said there was no request on file. I was again promised I would receive everything shortly. What I finally received was only a very brief summary -- not the detailed reports I had specifically requested. When I called back to clarify, I was told that this is the only information patients receive and that if I need anything more detailed, my doctor must request it directly. This contradicted what I had initially been told. Under federal law (HIPAA), patients have the right to access their medical records, including imaging reports. I was simply trying to prepare responsibly for a specialist consultation regarding a serious health concern. Being repeatedly told there was no request on file, receiving conflicting information, and ultimately being given only minimal summaries felt dismissive and unprofessional. This was not a casual request. This was about ensuring my doctor has the full picture to make informed decisions about my care. I hope management reviews this process and improves communication and documentation of patient record requests.

This, plus rescheduling the doctor's appt and getting another XRay provider, cost me 3 hours more time than I planned. I took the orders to Partner's Imaging because of how they treated me, their quality of testing, and timeliness of getting results over the years. After arriving as a walk-in, I had the XRay disc in hand and on my way home in LESS than an hour. Barbara and Judy treated every person at reception as if they were the only patient there. They teamed up to help coordinate procedures and address payment issues tactfully and confidentially. The RT Mikaylie (unsure of spelling) was kind, professional and efficient. As a retired health professional, I appreciate how difficult it is to juggle the various front desk and scheduling tasks for patients worried about their test results as well as costs. Staff in this facility could teach many others in Sarasota a thing or two about customer relations and proper business operations.

We had an extremely poor experience here with the physician assistant Teresa Bobbitt. In addition…read moreone of the front desk person awful. My 90 year old mother ( who lives independent) was brought in by me because she lives in North Tampa and while visiting, I wanted to "rule out a Urinary bladder infection. " Theresa Bobbett PA was an extremely rude practitioner who stood as far away from the patient as she physically could and advised us that we needed to go to the ER based on her BP. My mother explained that being 90 with CHF, the BP was her normal baseline, I am her daughter a nurse and advised her as well that it was baseline. Teresa would not converse with us and actually REFUSED further care or conversation and directed us to go to the ER. Prior to that we were given a urine specimen cup which they refused to accept the urine specimen. In addition my mother has excellent cognition and there was no evidence of change in mental status during this visit. The PA did not interact much with us, and acted quite unreasonable. We did go the following day to Lakewood Ranch Emergency And they provided outstanding care for her and confirmed urinary tract infection. The trained physician did not even question her blood pressure, provided the antibiotics and off we went. They did do routine blood work and all returned normal. Although SMH urgent care could have treated my mother, they refused care. I'm my opinion, that particular PA is unqualified, in compassionate, unprofessional and in the wrong profession. Further my mother did not need an ER for treatment of a UTI as a PCP or urgent care would be sufficient. LWR ER was an excellent experience with a medical DO physician and highly qualified nurses. I highly recommend Lakewood Ranch ER for professional and compassionate care.

This was my third time back since then - 3 strikes and they're out! Instead of going to the beautifully appointed waiting room filled with caring and efficient professionals, you are herded to a large corral with a sign in system with the sophistication of a deli counter. The check in staff is as compassionate & displays the sense of urgency of a "phone tree" (thank you for your patience). Previously the technicians were the "saving grace" of the process but due to inordinate delays, prioritizing walk-ins over patients with appointments, employees / friends??? cutting the line (Go Gators!), servicing patients an hour late for their appointments I didn't even get to the techs this time. Do better SMH!
