I was greeted immediately upon entering by a Chase representative. (My big regret is that I've forgotten her name.) She quickly accompanied me to the banking counter and expertly assisted me with my request. She was extremely patient as I fumbled for my PIN number, and remained friendly throughout our encounter. This year I wanted to prepay my taxes. I called their loan department to find out if they would suspend my impounds for the year if I prepaid or what I needed to do. I was advised that I would have to continue my impounds but that after the dates the mortgage installments were due they would confirm they were paid and then send me my refund for the overages. They did this after my May installment. After my Oct tax payment date I called Associated Loan services where I was told they no longer will send the overages I will have to wait until next May. That gives them my money for 18 months. This is not what they told me when I made my initial call. They can confirm that my taxes are paid. They can confirm that they have all that money in my escrow account as an overage. They originally told me they would refund after confirmation of tax payment and now they will not release my funds.

We have a…read more$500,000 mortgage through Bell that we were going through a amortization process to drop the PMI. We wrote them a $125,000 check. Our own agent told us that if we wrote it for a specific amount that certain fees would be waived or simply wrapped into that amount. After we wrote the check, we were told...oops, that was wrong. And we need another $250 to complete the amortization. This is after they've cashed the checks so I don't have the option to be just as petty as this company is and back out of the process and get my $125,000 back. Bell Bank, are the penny pushers so powerful in your company that you have zero customer care values? Is it worth pissing off your customers this badly over $250 when you make 3/4 profit off interest over the life of the loan?
