PSA: We've only been here for a birthday party. We've not been for classes or other events…read more We chose FMAC for Kid's tenth birthday party. Why? Because friends of ours repeatedly tell us how awesome these people are! Also, because when I called for info they were super nice and helpful, they allow an unlimited number of kids, allow full decorations, handle all of the entertainment AND they were the most affordable birthday package I've ever even come across in this area! They told me I could arrive thirty minutes ahead of party time to set up, which was great. Master Alex was our host for the day and he was so nice and awesome with the kids. They started with some cool Taekwondo demos that everyone loved. They also let the guests participate AND each kid gets to break a board (and keep the pieces). Too cool! Afterwards, they coordinate some physical games (a running/jumping game and dodgeball) to get some wiggles out. Then, they have free time to play in the game room with foosball, air hockey, toys and video games before you handle the cake and gifts. Two hours of the most perfectly fun, well organized and stress-free birthday party we've ever had anywhere for the kid. If Kid doesn't decide to do this again next year, I'll be super surprised and super disappointed! Just awesome!! Great job, FMAC!

My son has attended the after school program for 4 years. My son too tends to play the video and…read morearcade games (the consoles are locked and there are never mature games). Kids deserve to play and have fun as well as receive some disciplined structure, which is what this program offers. Last year my son received his black belt after 3 years of hard work and dedication. 30 minutes each day after school was plenty of instruction by several dedicated instructors. A third if them are high school students, 3rd and 4th degree black belts -what awesome accomplishments for such a young age! If children don't advance in this program it is usually because parents don't get involved or the child does not like the sport. As with any school with kids, some will be mean and make poor choices. I've witnessed the staff disciplining kids for "bullying", using poor choice of words, etc and I commend them for taking action and trying to help teach these kids. The staff are all very caring, fun and nurturing. Love this facility and program!

I've loved the few times I've been to BC and their Lakeland events, but today really made me…read moreappreciate this place. I went to a 5:30 barre class and during the warmup began feeling very lightheaded. I hadn't eaten enough, and I just realized it. I sat down a couple time during the class (which felt especially awkward since there were only 3 people in class) because I feared I'd pass out. This happens a lot to me, but it's not fun. I felt the color flush from my cheeks. The instructor checked on me quietly to make sure I was fine, and had the front desk attendant follow up. I was eating nuts in the lounge area and the front desk girl offered me an ice pack and protein bar. I took the bar and ate it but still wasn't feeling well. She checked on me again and offered to give me a free class pass so I could come back and actually enjoy the workout. She cleaned up my mat and equipment for me and told me to feel better. As someone who's fainted at concerts, doctor's offices, fast food restaurants, and everywhere else, I know how embarrassing it can be. These ladies made me feel so comforted!!! They kept class going so I didn't feel like a distraction, made sure I was okay and ensured I'd be back to appreciate the class another day. Love this community of kind hearted women!
