I always pop in whenever I'm in Niagara Falls. Everything is always fresh and one of my favorites is the chocolate sponge candy, however, my last trip in, they have the most delicious decadent hot chocolate. We called the store on the Thursday prior to the long weekend to ensure delivery to be made on the Tuesday- his first day of school !!! Sadly Nana and Papa are far away and couldn't share his first day of kindergarten. We were absolutely heart broken to find out the store delivered the next day - Friday !!! So the moment/excitement to the day... irrelevant, lost and gone forever. We called the store, so upset and they agreed to give us a full refund-we would have rather had the experience but at least they honoured service levels ... NOT !!! NO, What the ?? We waited until the following Wednesday still waiting for our credit of $70+. So we called back the store, spoke with Sam, who apparently runs the store owned by her parents- We did ask for parents name but quickly told None of our business and that we were not going to get the refund as promised during our prior call. She would refund the $10 delivery. I asked if she truly understood the disappointment of what happened and was told she really didn't and couldn't care less. I asked to speak to some else .... No. So I again repeated, you didn't deliver as requested, you spelt his name wrong, you agreed to a full refund, then that didn't happen but you couldn't begin to understand why we would be upset. We had the pleasure of dealing with the prior owner Grace for many years and always such great experiences. So... in the end ..... GO SOMEWHERE ELSE !!!!! so that you don't go through what we did ... they truly don't care. Oh, did I mention Sam chose to hang up on us too ??? The world is small Sam.... You get to see how all of the chocolate is made and taste the chocolate as you go. My favorite was the melted chocolate. I could eat at least a gallon of it. The gift shop was really cool. They had tons of chocolate to choose from, and I really enjoyed the special occasion chocolate on the back wall that had decorative wraps on them. Lots of cute, funny wraps for every occasion. We gad a really nice chat with the owner and he gave us a rundown of what they offer. We bought some pastries for takeout; each one would be around $2-$2.5 or $20/kg. The pastries were delicious and fresh. They offer both prepared and custom-made cakes of different shapes and sizes. A few customers came to pick up their order of cakes while we were in the store and their orders all looked great.
