I mean, I could start with the fact that the gel nail polish that looked pink on the sample was clearly either old or not shaken or something was wrong with it that caused it to have this horrible translucent effect that looks like I have some sort of shimmery foot mold. She knew something was wrong too, because she insisted on adding a 3rd layer of color - why? To try and cover up what was wrong. But I think the main takeaway is that the woman literally cut my toe when she was doing my pedicure and acted like nothing happened. Literally the WORST pedicure I have ever had. Only went here because my nail tech was super busy today. They were nice. However, I do not recommend & please listen to reviews. No safe Covid practices except everyone wearing face masks. I did not once see anyone wiping down their stations or equipment. I had to ask the woman to wipe down the station prior to pedicure. I've went to several nail salons my whole life, even in the hood but never have I experienced a nail tech using a paper towel in between my toes to paint them instead of proper toe separators. I don't think I'm becoming back here again! Last time I did a pedicure I was given Maria for my technician. Maria was horrible! She rushed through my whole pedicure and for my 10 min massage she was putting her tools away and organizing all in between. It was more like 5 mins. It was a waste of my $ Now today I figure I would give the a second try since my daughter told me there are some good workers like coco and yoyo. I came in they gave me Emily and this is even worse then past experience. Just taking off my gel she burned me horribly with the drill. Waited 40 minutes to be attended to, and I had an appointment. I had 2 nails that were broken and told the nail tech that I wanted nail tips on those fingers. Nail tech did not put tips on and proceeded to apply gel polish. When I questioned her, she told me that if she had to remove the gel polish, I would have to pay $8 per nail. It's absolutely ridiculous. She also did not know how to file nails. Each of my nails is a different shape. I kept telling her, and she just didn't get it. I WILL NOT come here again. Be careful if you get a gift card. My daughter got me one from the New Windsor location. I got a great pedicure today, but when I went to pay, they would not accept the gift card and told me that due to the signature I can only use it at the Monroe location. This was one of the worst places I have gotten my nails done. I knew my nails were sort of short and wanted almond shape but I told the nail technician that whatever shape she thought was best to with with I'd be ok with. Long story short, she filed my pinky nail down to the nail bed and only left a pointer on the right side of the nail. She then proceeded to tell me almond nails wouldn't work. Ok, fine but what do I do about the pencil tip nail you just left? She told me I would now need a tip on that nail and it was an extra charge. I'm sorry? Extra charge for a perfectly good nail that was not filed to a mountains shape because you went too hard. No thank you. I went to leave and the owner took over and did my nails. She built my nail with powder even though I spent weeks growing them. She did a good job. My mother was there also, I left her to go shopping and she told me when I picked her up that the woman doing her pedicure told her "oh your feet aren't too bad, I don't need to do much. Can I offer you a massage for $10 extra dollar?" Mind you, my mom was explicit and stated she just wanted a good cleaning of her toes. Overall horrible experience and I would never go back. I was a customer since their grand opening. The empathy and care they put into my nails was 5 star. The last two visits alone, will be why I won't return. First, I came in just for a fill. walked out paying close to $50. For the first few years first broken nail was free, now it's not. $5. next a fill is $37. Now the color.. $10. Also to have it matte like the display had it.. which was why I picked it.. another $5. $15 for just the color. Nothing special. No design. the color turned out horrible! Muddy beyond belief and attracts dirt like it's sticky. 7 days later one already breaks. I go back in and tell them I want the color taken off because it's so bumpy and muddy looking as well as the nail fixed. She said the muddy look is because it's matte. So I pay $5 more for the display style which didn't look muddy to have mine look that way? Who would pay for that? So I sit down and say I just want it off THATS insane. and she adds that to remove it I'm to pay ANOTHER $10. And for the nail too! I have come in after one broke many times and was never charged and after confirming my nail color was muddy by saying "oh yeah matte does that to the nail" I'm to be charged more? So $60 total to walk out with blank nails? So I got up and walked out. I was a loyal company since the very first day. Now when someone asks ill never say how great they are and how much they work with you. It's not for the customer anymore, it's for the profit. She only did 2 coats of polish and then basically treated the top coat like the cuticle liquid and just plopped it on my nails. I've given this place a few chances thinking it was a fluke and I'm consistently disappointed. Today, I was robbed by Chocolate Nail Spa and will be disputing with my bank. Was charged for a design/ pedicure that kept smudging as tech did the work. Was told by manager to come in next day to fix for free and waited 48 minutes to be told to fix my design it would be $5 extra. No accountability for the fact that I had to leave with a smudged pedicure the night before due to them closing, and then the next day I didn't get my pedicure fixed because I refused to let them charge me another $5 for their mistake. I also had the receipt for service. Also note, they were fixing a woman's nails that was messed up for the 3rd time that week. I had my apprehensions about this place but this confirmed it. My DH bought me a certificate for Christmas as they had such a vast array of services and it was a day spa. I called several days ahead of time and had planned out what services were going to make the most out of my certificate. 60 minute massage, 60 minute facial and organic pedicure - about 35 minutes. When I arrived I found the spa to be very open and airy. It looked neat and there was no one waiting in the waiting area near the check in desk. The attendant at the desk seen my time scheduled in the book, but there seemed to be no rhyme or reason as to which service I was to have first and it took a few minutes of her leading me towards different areas of the salon before they settled on me getting my pedi first. I guess I kinda wanted a definite plan that the right people were scheduled for my services desired...so I wasn't sure what to expect. Pedicure- "Organic Spa Pedicure" the nail tech wore proper protection and the instruments were sterilized and in their sealed bags. She did a very good job picking out the toes which had ingrown cuticles or built up skin and was very careful and skillful cleaning them up. Being on my feet 8-10 hours a day I have bad calluses and she did a good job taking off enough and not leaving me sore. The leg and foot massage could have been more intense, but that's just my preference. She followed up with a short pass with the hot stone - could've also been longer. All in all it was about 35 minutes. There was a great variety of polishes: Essie, UPI and some nonbrand and more Walgreen variety. If you're going to have TVs and 3/4 of your clientele are women, put HGTV, Bravo or something on...it was on Taken and then Transformers..just saying. Facial - "Deep Cleansing" 60 minute facial. In a room near the front of the salon. The woman doing my facial was quiet and gave direction when needed. She did a number of passes over my face, took out blackheads and applied a mask. While it was drying she gave me a nice arm and hand massage which wasn't in the description so it was a nice touch! After the mask dried, she pealed it off, wiped my face and put a light lotion and spritz over my face. THIS WAS MY FAVORITE SERVICE! I didn't see what brand of skin products she was using. Massage - Normally - at the day spas and massage therapists I've went to - they have you fill out a release form which had a body so you could circle areas to avoid or areas of specific tenderness. Also, usually the masseuse/therapist will introduce themselves take you to the room where relaxing music is playing and set some ground rules. How naked ya want to be, where the bathroom is, and how deep ya want your massage to be. There was NONE of that. I got the feeling that they guy drew the short straw. He seemed to not really care and barely spoke to me, led me to the room and told me to get on the table face down. I decided to do the 30 minute massage as I didn't know how this was going to be. He didn't lay down any of those ground rules so I left everything on. I don't think he was certified as a massage therapist and didn't see any certificates. It was more like a decent back rub. Overall, i didn't get the day spa vibe. Not quiet enough, theyskipped the relaxing aspect of the music, essential oil use in the facial and massage rooms and overall feel. More like a good nail salon. Go there for nails or facial - skip the "massage". read more

Do not recommend! Appointments mean nothing here, they took me and my friend 40 minutes late. They sat me in a pedicure chair that was covered in nail dust and the girl gavee an attitude when i asked her if she can please clean it off. She put a hot towel on me that was so hot it almost burned my skin. When she was done and i she came to give me change she lingered until i tipped her then disappeared. I had to let myself out of the chair (im pregnant) and go find the drying table. To make matters worse my friends lady overcharged her and she woke up with a toe infection.
