I was just browsing the interwebs for random barbershop/salon's in Middletown and I happened to stumble across Classy Cuts, saw the reviews and decided to give them a try and I don't regret it. I walked in, was instantly greeted by a super friendly girl and waited for maybe five minutes and got in a chair. Scarlett did an awesome job on my haircut, at first I was nervous because you never know what to expect when someone new (new to me) is cutting your hair and she surpassed my expectations. I spotted this location while sitting in my car, in the parking lot next door. I thought we should check it out and see if there was a hairstylist or barber there that would be understanding of someone with special needs, so we went inside. Everyone was so nice, including the customers. We were greeted warmly and everyone inside was so kind and understanding of my brother, even when he started to get anxious. One of the hairstylists there introduced us to Henry the Barber who then cheerfully greeted us and took on the task of working with my brother. He was so kind, patient and understanding of my brother that my brother even gave him a hug at the end! He did an awesome job and was great to work with. We left completely satisfied and relieved he finally got a haircut. Henry is great! We have a new barber now.

Annie, who's done my mom's hair for a decade I believe is the sweetest person ever! Definately the kindest person there. The receptionist, while lovely, was very forceful about trying the Voesh Body Lotion on the desk while I waited for my stylist, even after I said "no thanks, I just applied my own". She then wanted me to try Amika hair & body mist- which I already own and didn't want any more on. I get it's part of their position, but it becomes uncomfortable when I'm repeating myself saying "No" five different ways. The front reception area (right when you walk in- first area you see) & to the left where the TV / product wall is was very dusty, faded photos and advertisements taped to the desk, it just didn't look kept up. (It was enough that I noticed, looked around to see other employees at their stations on their phones and wondered if that was acceptable to do when the salon isn't clean) The stylist at the first station on the left gave me a really nasty look when I walked in and sat down, and brought that up to my stylist because it just seemed...weird. As for my hair, Annie absolutely nailed it. Being it was my first visit with her after looking for a new stylist, I wasn't sure how that would go, but being my mom is VERY particular about her hair and it always looks fabulous, I took a shot with her and am going to return next month. I had a full head highlight done, on long hair, with a cut & dry. Annie took her time, but was very efficient, absolutely lovely to talk to, and knows the profession well. She did exactly what I was asking for. I can put the dust, faded taped up photos, nasty looks, and "try me! Pressure" aside for Annie. 100% recommend her. She's a hidden gem in the local area, and she's my new stylist and I'm so happy to know whenever I go to her, I'll come out feeling fabulous!
