Everything is beautifully wrapped and ready for bringing as a gift. They also make cookies and chocolates with logos, personalized photographs, and custom anything for showers, weddings, or any occasion. I have had Lynn even do Frozen logos on Oreos and beautiful Rice Krispie princess crowns for a little girls' birthday party. Pleasing environment. When you go into the Chocolate Shoppe, the first thing I notice is the smell. Yum YUM! You're greeted by smiling faces, and happy people. Offered a sample, usually something I end up buying, it's so amazing. The presentation is beautiful, you can tell real craftsmanship goes into every piece with love and care. The flavors are amazing, my favorite are the truffles and the Bordo. The truffles are so delicious, finally a place that makes REAL truffles the way they were meant to be made. The price is fair in comparison to what you get. I don't go into the Chocolate Shoppe looking for a Hersey's bar. I go into the Chocolate Shoppe looking for something far better. The people are accommodating and when I need to order gifts for my family, I'm proud to present them with a tray, a basket, or even a simple bag of chocolates. They've even personalized cookies and chocolates for my family's special events. Lynn helped me set up a wonderful spread for my sister's wedding, and my parents enjoyed wonderfully dipped Strawberries for their anniversary. I also enjoy the fact that they use made in Nevada products and local business. I am planning a small get together for Easter and the baskets they have prepared for me, look absolutely perfect. I had an amazing experience with the Chocolate Shoppe! It began when I ordered shortbread photo cookies and lollipops for my daughter-in-laws bachelorette party. Lynn, the owner did a great job, they were a big hit! Then I ordered the wedding favors made of chocolate with the photos used from 'save the date' invitations. They came out awesome! I also had photo shortbread cookies made for hospitality gifts for special guests, not only did Lynn do a stellar job but she also offered to put together the gift baskets for me, they came out better than I could have done and one less thing for me to worry about before the wedding! Can't say enough about the personalized customer service and attention to detail I received. WIll definitely be back again. read more

The owners and goodies are SOOO much fun! Apparently good chocolate costs some money and adds lots of calories, otherwise I would go daily-- but it is worth every bite. The down side is that the goodies don't last long. They are so talented--I feel like I could imagine anything and she will make it happen. They recently donated a very expensive cookie tray to a fundraiser event for a new animal shelter in Carson City. Everyone was fighting for that tray. The images on the cookies were priceless. This place is the PERFECT place for a gift--and the holiday season is coming up. absolutely worth looking for. The first thing that hits you, is that the whole candy kitchen is in view and exceptionally clean. I had the pleasure of talking with both Harvey and Lynn the owners. I was stunned by the melt in your mouth toffee and chocolates as some of the best I have ever had. Many of their offerings are gift bagged or boxed, so I could grab that quick gift. I was also informed that Chocolate Shoppe is a "Nevada Made" member which I like. They are a little hard to see...on the far end of the Raley's shopping center in Gardnerville, but the best places are worth looking for! read more

I live and work in the Sacramento area and when I'm in Gardnerville for the weekend I buy sweets here for my co-workers. They love the chocolate-covered Oreo cookies and the peanut brittle. I love everything. We have good chocolate shops in Sacramento but what sets this place apart for me are the quality and variety of the sweets and the dedication and passion of the staff. Lynn, the owner, gets up very early every single morning in order to work on the design and production of her chocolates. She is so imaginative. It is such a joy to see what new items she and her staff have created. They are good people and their chocolates are great. This is a wonderful business to support. read more

Nice to have a little chocolate gift shop in town, but it's way, way overpriced. Do I want them to make a profit and stay in business? YES. But I'd take the other favorite chocolate that has three letters and starts with an "S" any day. But we don't have one in Carson Valley. So, if you need a quick gift for something, go here if you are feeling flush with money. It's so overpriced, that I choose my visits carefully. Once or twice a year. Maybe. Too bad. Most people won't be able to afford it. I just paid $37.50 for about 18 pieces of candy in a little cardboard egg. Classy, pretty little gift. The lady was very nice and very helpful and put it in a little gift bag. That would be two pounds of the other S**'s candy. They do give you a sample. It's one piece cut into thirds. The prices for this chocolate decadence is good for what you get. If you can appreciate good chocolate with many flavor combinations, this place is for you! They always are reinventing your favorite chocolate treat and taking it to the next level., The first time my husband Eric and I were there, we were given so many samples to try, I have not tasted anything I did not like. They ask what you like and if you are allergic to anything and they can find you the perfect candy. My perfect candy is a tie between the Sea Salt caramels covered in dark chocolate and the fudge, fudge and fudge (many varieties of fudge). On our 3rd visit we ordered a beautiful Christmas platter of chocolates which is custom to our friends tastes -- The PERFECT Gift! WOW - I went to this place after seeing their website and it is just incredible!! They put pictures on food. I was having a birthday party for my granddaughter and got 30 lollipops with her picture on them. They even added Happy Birthday Caylee onto them without charging anything extra. The woman that runs the business (her name is Lynn) could not be any more helpful and creative. She really wanted to make sure that I was absolutely thrilled with the lollipops and I was!! Everything is made fresh. Lynn told me that they are opening a "Christmas Chocolate Shoppe" for the holidays this year and she let me taste some peppermint bark that she had just made - THE BEST EVER!! The owner's are so customer service and willing to please for your special order. I had the privilege of placing an order for my granddaughter's high school graduation with the Chocolate Shoppe. After going through their many options with the store owner, I ended up ordering lollipops with an edible image picture of her on it, to include her school colors and a special gold foil note for her. They came out absolutely beautiful. My granddaughter was very surprised and I had so many compliments on them at her reception, and asking me where I got them. Personalizing your special order is one of the many services the Chocolate Shoppe does best. This does not even include the delicious varietals you have to choose from within the Shoppe.
