Awesome selection of chocolate! Tried the buckeye sundae OMG it was soooooo good! You can choose any ice I cream, I chose chocolate/ PB and it was not only shareable but had lots of PB, pieces of Pb and chocolate fudge as well as lots of liquid PB and fudge!!! Got an espresso here and walked around the chocolate museum a little bit. The museum itself is more novelty, it's small and there's not much to it, but it's a neat little attraction on the island. They sell roasted beans as well and various chocolates, doughs and all sorts of things. The cafe has a patio for the summer months, a restroom and various desserts. I only enjoyed the drink I had and walked around the museum attached to it, but definitely thought it was a worthwhile experience in Put-In-Bay! read more

I wish I found this place earlier in my journey on the island. It's in the basement of the German restaurant and it's a cute little shop. They have Toft's Ice Cream, a whole variety of chocolates, sweets and fudge. They even sell some of the better shirts that I've seen on the island. Golf cart parking is easy, and plentiful. They even had a couch with a loop of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. read more

Love this place for dessert, especially their ice cream bar, which offers a ton of unique selections of delicious creamy treats! There were so many flavors to choose from, I ended up going with the Erie Cookie Monster (basically a mix of all my favorite candy including cookie dough and ores with cake batter ice cream and deep velvety coloring) as well as their chocolate bourbon (goes down ultra smooth!) the staff there is awesome, friendly and accommodating. Tucked away on Put-In Bay, this place was a neat find. They had a large assortment of chocolate treats, a full spread of desserts, and enough ice cream options to satisfy any group of passerby. We came for the ice cream with our littles, it was delicious! We had five different types and they were all great. This place was recommended to us by a friend who regularly visits the island. I was so excited to try it and it didn't disappoint. loved their mocha coffee types, their pastries and of course the chocolate itself. also heard that their ice cream is the best but we didn't have the chance to try it. they have plenty of seating inside and outside. and do't forget to check the chocolate museum which shows some of the old chocolate brands and materials they used in making chocolate. just one little note is that it's a bit on the pricey side, but that's the case for pretty much everything around the island! If one thing only will bring me back to PIB it should be this place for sure as it was the highlight of the whole trip :-) read more

We visited July 20th 2022 and was extremely disappointed. I can overlook them being short staffed and the fact we ordered 2 rootbeer floats for 16 dollars and they put superman ice cream in because they were out of vanilla yuk. What I could not overlook was the filth. Floors were nasty with black dirt. Globs of dust hanging from ceiling and ceiling fan. The windows and ice cream cases were so dirty you could barely see through them and to top it off we witnessed the waitress putting a spoon in a big ice cream container, eating the ice cream and putting spoon back in container. $65 for 5 egg sandwiches and coffee for 5 people. Wow... We ordered several of their "Panini" egg sandwiches, some with sausage, some with bacon. The only flavor to come through was "sour", from the sourdough bread. The egg, assuming it was from a carton (color was too uniform), was void of flavor. The sausage was your standard industrial patty from a food supply, lifeless and without character. Two strips of bacon on the others, and were so thin you could read through them. Extremely disappointed. The coffee.... I ordered a Cappuccino, that tasted like steamed milk with a little coffee added, as if they used "regular" coffee instead of espresso. My wife ordered the Dark Mocha Espresso, and there too, tasted like hot cocoa with a shot of regular coffee. The other coffees ordered suffered the same fate, weak, and void of any substantial flavor. I couldn't tell you if this is their regular fare, or if it was just the end of tourist season, and lost their passion for the year... but, nonetheless, we paid premium prices for mediocracy.... read more

We stopped by on their last day of the season. Maybe that's why it was such a poor experience. The South Bend chocolate was old, the teenagers working were less than professional, the layout is disorganized and when there were 20-30 people in there, nobody could figure out where the line was supposed to form. None of the food was discounted, while most other places on the island were marking their remaining food inventory down. It's pricey, but I suppose it's average price for an island tourist spot. The whole place had a weird smell and didn't feel clean. Maybe they were going to thoroughly clean after they closed for the season. read more

The service wasn't great but if you have a sweet tooth this is a good place to check out. Lots of ice cream flavors and coffees and hot chocolates. We were going to buy fudge but she seemed irritated when we asked for plastic wrap to keep it fresh til we got home. Worker giving us ice cream wasn't wearing gloves or a mask. She was very rude and did not seem to care about me as a customer or a person. Her reaction when someone asked if an ice cream has tree nuts was to laugh and say "I don't know I'm sorry" she ended up getting who I am assuming is the manager to find out, which she could have very easily done herself. The service here was HORRIBLE. There was this young blonde girl working alone and she seemed irritated when we approached the counter. She was constantly looking at her phone throughout our short time there. I bought some popcorn that was on sale but she rang it up full price. I reminded her and she fixed it. (The popcorn was 1/2 off because it was out of season, Easter, I believe. But when I finally ate it a few days later, it was stale and not edible. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY on discounted popcorn here. They shouldn't even had it for sale. My dad ordered turtle cheesecake and the employee added the fork to the plate BEFORE drizzling chocolate all over the cake, plate and fork; what a mess! When we were done with the plate, we kindly brought it back inside. The blonde girl was sitting on the back counter on her phone and barely looked up at us. We just left the plate on the front counter and left. The turtle cheesecake was good, but the service made the experience less than lovely! read more
