When I was in the Cooke Marketplace for a rare pandemic outing, I was thrilled when I stumble upon their shop! When I think of Bake Erie, I of course think of their colorful Ohio cookies with delicious frosting. If you catch them during the day you'll see a bigger selection, but I was there near close so cookies were all that was left (but don't worry, we still bought). The inside has a clean, white feel to it that every teenager will love taking photos in. There's a few tables to sit and relax or you could take your bakery to-go while strolling the Marketplace. My favorite was the peach cobbler, stuffing was just sweet enough. I was not particularly a fan of the spinach turnover, felt like it was missing some salt. Will definitely be back to try their other baked goods.

I arrived at around 10am…read morebecause previous reviews indicated that they stop serving once they run out even though they are open until 1pm. Unfortunately there wasn't a large selection available. Only 3-4 trays of options, which was disappointing. However, I'm not sure if it's because they ran out and I need to arrive earlier or they simply have a limited selection. I'll update this review again once I experience it earlier in the morning. I didn't dock any stars because the donuts that I did choose were oh so soft and tasty. Pillow soft! My mother also thoroughly enjoyed hers. I can't wait to return and try some other flavors- More to come!
