When visiting Eagle Pass, Choche's BBQ has to be a stop you make. I recently celebrated my birthday at Choche's and everything was perfect! We started off with the Brisket Nachos which included chips from a local tortilla factory, queso blanco, brisket, and pico de gallo (you can also ask for pico de gallo on side). The chips had the right amount of saltiness and paired with the queso and brisket - it was the perfect appetizer to open the lunch with. For our group, we did get two (2) large nachos but asked to split it into 4 plates (to feed 15). It was more than enough!!! For our main meal, we went with the "El Comp" package which included enough food to feed 8-12 (we were a party of 15). The meal package included: a whole Brisket, a rack of Pork ribs, 4 Chicken leg quarters (which I asked to split to make 8 pieces), 3, 32oz sides (we chose Potato Salad and the Ruffles Mac and Cheese). The brisket was tender, the ribs fell off the bone and the chicken was seasoned perfectly. I personally loved the ribs and brisket - no BBQ sauce needed! Everyone had multiple servings from the divided portions and it hit the spot! The sides were the perfect compliment to the main course and I will always sing the praises of the best Mac and Cheese that features crumbled Ruffles Queso chips (everyone absolutely loved the crunchy and soft textures). Not pictured: Texas Twinkies (brisket and cheese stuffed jalapeños wrapped in bacon and covered in BBQ sauce. They were a good mix of sweet and spicy and also a big hit! In addition to the meal, Choche's has pickles, BBQ sauce, onions and bread slices setup for you to add to your meal. We really enjoyed visiting Choche's BBQ and celebrating my birthday with all the good vibes. On weekends, there may be live music or if a sporting event, it's on the TVs. If you find yourself in EP, stop by Choche's!! read more

Why aren't all good things in life wrapped in bacon? Why can't I make chili like this place? Why does there ever have to be a limit (sold out) to anything delicious? Why can't there be a Choche's in San Antonio? Why did I not know about this place before today?! Why can't I have 2 stomachs like a cow? So many questions I'm crying over here....tears of joy I came here!! read more

So first off the food is amazing and so consistent the one bad thing is that I never buy enough to take more home because I always want thirds and fourths . The brisket is so juicy and cooked perfect with that beautiful ring. The sausage is good and well the amazing turkey I've yet to try becuase it sells out which makes me believe it has to be that delicious. We got the huge brisket sandwich and the bread alone was yummy and was large portion of meat. The three meat plate the meat on the ribs was falling off and the pulled pork was just as good. As for the sides I'm not too crazy about becuase I just want to be a carnivore but the corn was yummy and the potato salad is more mayo based and definitely yummy. The pickled onions are sooo good and free refills and variety of teas are perfect. The service from the owners are always fantastic they are there to give you suggestions and the price was just right. The pieeeeee ughh soooo good we got the award winning key lime pie and I was soooo sad I didn't take more home becuase my poor husband didn't get to have much because I didn't want to share. The place itself doesn't look like much from the outside but don't let that fool you the inside is so nice and backyard or home feel making you feel welcomed and they have a full bar which is perfect. Definitely our go to place for bbq and worth the drive even from San Antonio read more

Wow, this is good eating! Dropped by while traveling, met with owner himself. They were out of pork belly, so we had brisket & pork ribs. Man, the brisket is soft & moist, thick slices on bread! Forget about it! I was hooked, my wife had the pork ribs. The meat falls of the bone, seasoned perfectly! No sauce needed! The atmosphere is great & welcoming. They are proud of their craft and want to show you! Highly recommend, go early because they do sell out! read more

This place is an amazing hidden gem. It is hidden with 2 other establishments but is very big once you get in. The prices are very reasonable and the food is amazing. Being a native of Texas this place has some top tier bbq. With that being said they have won numerous awards and recently in 2024 some bbq awards at the SA Rodeo. Eagle pass isn't known for very much these days regarding food but this should put them on the map. They service is good and the restaurant has a huge area if you want to have a big gathering. It also has a full bar for the evening and closes late. They have tons of beautifully smoked meats and sides. If your in Eagle Pass this is a must. You will be surprised. read more

Choche’s BBQ & Bar - This smoker has rims. Really - Barbeque Near Me - Eagle Pass, Texas

This spot is really good BBQ. The plates are huge! Three meat plate can feed 2-3 people. But most of all the quality of the bbq is definitely above average and this coming from a person that has eaten a FUC ton of BBQ. You will mot break the bank either. The staff is awesome too, once they know its your first time here then it all makes sense. Eagle Pass does have a way of treating you like you have been there all your life. Ok now for the hard part of your bbq adventure here at Choche's...This restaurant has challenge that is you can find the from entrance in under 17.5 minutes then you win the rubber tortilla. In other words the front entrance is not easy to find if you are new to the area. Nonetheless you have to try this place out if you are a BBQ-ty! read more

Choche’s BBQ & Bar - Three meat plate is enough for 2 people. With tip its $40 - Barbeque Near Me - Eagle Pass, Texas

BarBQ in Eagle Pass that has brisket to brag about, it's soft, tender, tasty, and melts almost like butter in your mouth. But luckily almost, cause otherwise you would miss out on the delicious experience while chewing it. Interior is your basic BarBQ spot, including the helpful and friendly service. I'll be back next month and this is definitely a spot to return to. I recommend it to a colleague/friend and he sent me a picture letting me know that he went and loved it! read more

Chose to go here over wagon wheel to give it a try based on REVIEWS!!! Right off the bat the cashier was extremely rude !!! Got my food - brisket and pork belly and it was complete mush!!! Potato salad was basically MUSH- mashed potatoes !!! I'm sorry you chose to work the day after THANKSGIVING MS CASHIER LADY AND TAKE IT OUT ON OTHERS WHO ALSO HAVE TO WORK after Thanksgiving!! You're not the only one MS CASHIER LADY that's having to work today!!! As far as the horrible food---- I'm guessing that also has to do with it being day after THANKSGIVING..... maybe don't open after a holiday to ensure everyone has had a chance to rest and back to full capacity so people paying for their meals don't end up with trashy food and trashy cashier service !!! I hope you read this Ms CASHIER and Mr OWNER !!!! This is $30 I could have spent elsewhere where I already knew the food would be trash and so would the service !!!!!!!!! What a DISAPPOINTMENT!!!! Shame on you all!!! read more

First time here. Staff very attentive and project pride in their food. The brisket was very tender and flavorful. Spare ribs fell off the bone. Turkey on the dry side. Beans very flavorful but a little too salty. I also sampled their Texas Twinkies (brisket stuffed jalapeño) and smoked pork belly. The Twinkie was good and the pork belly fantastic! Great food & service! read more

Skip the sides, and only go for those delicious meats. Cooked to perfection and only waiting to see them featured on Texas bbq monthly

Ordered Brisket to go. The flavor was good but all the pieces were mainly fat. The potato salad was okay. Food was Not worth the $70 we paid. Wanted to like this place after we made several attempts to go here and they were either closed or sold out every day that we went. Disappointed. read more

The Food is always fantastic, never lets you down. Always a solid choice to eat & service is equally as great

Overall great experience. The brisket was excellent. I honestly think the mac and cheese can be better. It might just be a personal preference. It was more wet than thick and cheesy. The workers were very friendly. I left there just remembering how nice they were. Especially the guy who was wearing the Cowboys jersey. read more

Great food!!! Pulled pork and brisket are really great! You can't go wrong with anything you order but be there early!

The food is extraordinarily scrumptious. It is a family run business with a passion like no other. The Choche and his family have placed in numerous events across Texas with his fine barbecue. It's not forget the bar, which serves delicious drinks. Ask for the Tóxica, as it took first place in the San Antonio rodeo. read more
