    Enmolada Plate

My food was very COLD!!! My wife's food was very warm/hot. I took one bite of enchilada it was very cold, took a bite of another enchilada and it was cold as well. I told the waiter, he took my plate and came back with my plate, they obviously microwaved it. It was finally hot, the taste was okay but nothing to brag about. I didn't mind the 45 minute wait on the food even though the place was not packed and they had plenty of waiters. We hadn't eaten in this place in over 5 years, I won't be stopping by anytime soon.

Came here after winning at the casino. Ordered a steak that was very delicious & cooked to my liking, med well. The service was good & the ambiance was welcoming. No wait, we were greeted & seated immediately. The desserts were great, a work of art! I ordered the red velvet, super awesome. The price wasn't bad either considering I ate steak. Will be coming back for more, desserts.

Unique restaurant with great ambiance. Servers very friendly and food is oh so delicious. I got the tampiquena: steak, beans, rice, and an enchilada. Perfectly flavored with just a touch of spiciness. The beans have an unusual slightly smoky flavor I absolutely loved. Even the chips made my mouth water. Love everything about this place.

Tampiquena plate... includes 2 enchiladas (not pictured), 12oz Ribeye, charro beans, rice, and grilled onion/jalapeno medley.

This place has a very elegant vibe. I sat in the bar area which had plenty of TVs. Beers were ice cold. The service was quick and consistent. My dinner was pretty good besides the bland enchiladas. My steak was cooked to my order.

Went back here yesterday (Saturday) right before 5pm. It was pretty packed in here but service was still good and fast. Drinks: had the mojito and mango margarita on the rocks this time. Mojito taste refreshing but no alcohol. The margarita in the rocks was much better, good flavor and strong enough. Food: had the tacos camaron pastor which were soo yummy and comes with a side of fries. Also had the championes huerfanos (shrimp sautéed with mushrooms in white wine sauce) to go. It comes with corn or flour tortillas or you can mix them. The flavor on that was soo good! The shrimps were small though, size of salad shrimps. My buddies had the molcajete, they said it was 5 stars.

This is the Churros but we added ice cream to call it Churros A La Mode

The food was amazing. It arrived promptly and was instantly dazzled by the fantastic aesthetic. The place was wonderfully decorated. The service was quick. The staff was also very friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a great dining experience. The flavors of the dishes were well-balanced and delicious. The presentation of each plate was also impressive. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.

"Had a terrible experience at parrilla ] today. They mixed up our drinks, and the waiter kept making faces at us. Then, a younger lady at the front who asked if we were okay and we explained our situation. She said she would take care of it but rolled her eyes at us. When they finally brought my water, the waiter handed it to my friend, saying, 'Oh, this isn't yours, it's hers,' based on a paper inside the cup--like, how could he even tell since we both had water? Overall, the customer service was horrible."

    Tampiquena

This place, for the hype, did not impress me. The food is good and the service was good. The hype is probably that it's the best-looking restaurant in Eagle Pass. My steak was cooked the way I wanted. I ordered the Tampiquena.

They took an hour and a half to bring out our food. And the food was cold like if it had been sitting for a while.

When visiting Eagle Pass, Choche's BBQ has to be a stop you make. I recently celebrated my birthday…read moreat Choche's and everything was perfect! We started off with the Brisket Nachos which included chips from a local tortilla factory, queso blanco, brisket, and pico de gallo (you can also ask for pico de gallo on side). The chips had the right amount of saltiness and paired with the queso and brisket - it was the perfect appetizer to open the lunch with. For our group, we did get two (2) large nachos but asked to split it into 4 plates (to feed 15). It was more than enough!!! For our main meal, we went with the "El Comp" package which included enough food to feed 8-12 (we were a party of 15). The meal package included: a whole Brisket, a rack of Pork ribs, 4 Chicken leg quarters (which I asked to split to make 8 pieces), 3, 32oz sides (we chose Potato Salad and the Ruffles Mac and Cheese). The brisket was tender, the ribs fell off the bone and the chicken was seasoned perfectly. I personally loved the ribs and brisket - no BBQ sauce needed! Everyone had multiple servings from the divided portions and it hit the spot! The sides were the perfect compliment to the main course and I will always sing the praises of the best Mac and Cheese that features crumbled Ruffles Queso chips (everyone absolutely loved the crunchy and soft textures). Not pictured: Texas Twinkies (brisket and cheese stuffed jalapeños wrapped in bacon and covered in BBQ sauce. They were a good mix of sweet and spicy and also a big hit! In addition to the meal, Choche's has pickles, BBQ sauce, onions and bread slices setup for you to add to your meal. We really enjoyed visiting Choche's BBQ and celebrating my birthday with all the good vibes. On weekends, there may be live music or if a sporting event, it's on the TVs. If you find yourself in EP, stop by Choche's!!

I love when restaurants restore and repurpose historic houses and buildings. It's definitely something we love and appreciate back home in San Antonio. My immediate observation is that the place is beautiful and I love the old pictures of Piedras Negras on the walls. The menu is great and I loved the eggs Benedict I ordered. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because the service was lacking. Our server was not friendly nor attentive. I'd love to go back and try more of their menu. I had heard a lot of great things about this place online and I finally got the time to come try it out. WOW. From the moment you enter you're blown away from how they've kept a lot of the original materials. The restaurant served many purposes such as house, President palace (city hall), among other things many years ago. When you walk in you see the elegance from furniture, to lighting, to decoration. They offer lower level, upper level, private rooms, and outdoor terrace. Beautiful! Usually restaurants offer chips and salsa. This place offered corn bread fritters with two different salsas. The corn bread fritters have small pieces of chicharrón (pork grinds) if you've never had them, I highly recomendable them! They have a bunch of different dishes that fit everyone's budgets. I was craving seafood so I got the Pulpo En Adobo, it's octopus grilled over fire and glazed in an adobo sauce. The dish comes with mashed potatoes and Spinach and Peanut salad. I replaced the mashed potatoes for Jazmin rice. I gulped this down with a fresh lemonade made to order! Everything tasted delicious! Once again, I can't stress this enough! This place is a must!

When I arrived to pick up my order, I noticed the chips were missing. I politely asked the server about it, and she said she would check. Instead, she returned with the manager. When I asked the manager about the missing chips, her response was unexpectedly rude. She stated that the chips had to be selected during the ordering process and that she could not provide them. The issue for me was not the chips themselves, but the unprofessional and dismissive manner in which the situation was handled. It is disappointing to encounter such poor customer service, especially from a manager.
