10/10- The service moved quick. Everything was on point from the food to the customer service.

The food was good. Not anything extraordinary for brisket I've had. The bbq sauce was good which is always essential. They made everyone eating order a drinks and very explicitly stated "you cannot share drinks". I was going to order a water and was not allowed to. If I'm at a restaurant and mandated to order a drink because you don't share drinks, that's ridiculous and I would not be going back. 1) for assuming that I didn't just want my water and 2) I know how much I drink, and I didn't even finish the sweet tea that I was made to order. We did not get any refills or anything.on top of that, I learned they charge for refills... so what's the point of everyone forced to buy a drink? Even if it's shared they would have to pay for refills.

Chicken Fried Steak with mash and cream corn and brisket.

The hype was pure disappointment! Was looking forward to the chicken fried steak and the hubby to the brisket. Well save you money and time. The brisket was just average and the chicken fried steak was so hard to cut and chew. Side are nothing to talk about either. I was a little better off when they finally gave me a real knife but didn't help me to chew it. Every now and then there was a bite that was ok. Over all it also lacked in taste no seasoning.

Best food ever worth a 1600 mile drive.

Everything was great. The food, the staff are so friendly and fast to please. Cute little place and the ambiance is great. Worth way more than 5 stars...

My wife and I stopped in before hitting Kickapoo. The brisket/baked potato was so damn good especially getting it with Mac n cheese. She got the Texas toast brisket sandwich with Mac n cheese also pretty good! The service here was super friendly and quick! The ambience itself is very welcoming and comforting! I give it 4 stars cause I want to come back and try everything else!

We heard about this place through a cousin of my cousin Decided while we were in the area we would check it out and I'm glad we did! First in line on a Sunday at 11:00 A.M., thank you Jesus! Order at the front for BBQ or if you want to try the Chicken Fried Steak (see picture below ) order from the cashier. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We ordered Brisket, Pork Ribs, Sausage (not homemade but that's okay) and the usual sides, beans & potato salad (this IS homemade AND delicious). The beans have Chicharron in them, very cool in my opinion. My sister ordered the Smoked Turkey and that was spot on! So were the Pork Ribs absolutely spot on Ribs!! I hate to say this because my husbands' ribs are the best of course, but these were most excellent. I was not a fan of the brisket, it had more of a pot roast taste & feel, even a little tough. But everything else was a winner! They do get busy, after we left all the tables started to fill up and there was a line. Indoor dining & outdoor dining on better weather days. Cool place and easy to find. Go visit Kickapoo then, head over and get your fill of BBQ at The Wagon Wheel.

Friendly staff ready to serve you as you enter. The line moves quickly. They build your plate right there as you order. The dining room was clean and the A/C was nice and cool. The food was pretty good, not heavily seasoned. Mac & cheese was the highlight for me. I'll check them out again and try some different options.

Staff is really friendly and welcoming! Attention to detail is top notch. Something I noticed when they were making my plate..the whole team was examining the cuts of brisket to make sure it was up to par to serve. Brisket and Ribs are up there with some of the best I have had anywhere else. Creamed corn is legit. I also had the potato salad which wasn't bad. You can tell they put a lot of effort into their food and service. I definitely recommend you try. My kids had the humongous chicken fried steak. They only managed to eat half of it!

Are you craving a delicious chicken fried steak? It came highly recommend and I'm glad we got to find out for ourselves. If you are visiting Eagle Pass, The Wagon Wheel is that place! We ordered the famous chicken fried steak that came with 2 sides. The sweet creamed corn paired with the savory mashed potatoes is absolutely scrumptious! The staff there are friendly and attentive, we were visited by management at the end of our meal to see if all was well. The ambience of the restaurant was nice and very clean. I would recommend this place to everyone!

Two meats, two sides with bread and a sweet tea.

Tourist here, and this seems to be a locals favorite too. I got the 2 Meat Plate 2 sides. Chicharron Mac and special beans. Service was kind and understanding. As far as ambiance, I liked the police/service recognition/honor stand. Lots of patches and coins left by our service members across the states.

Some character

Overall it was a great experience... the restaurant itself is tastefully rustic with good (not obnoxious) character. The owner was extremely welcoming and attentive to the customers. It's easy to tell she takes pride in what they do, and that she loves it. SUPPORT LOCAL!!! The food was good Texas BBQ. Not quite great, but it was definitely good worth a try. It could have just been an off day, as we dined after the lunch hour rush, or just my high standard for BBQ. The brisket sandwich was good with a hearty serving of chopped brisket. I could have gone for a more smoky flavor, but definitely not bad. The brisket was tender and moist as it should be! I would have liked a spicier bbq sauce option as well. The Sausage is what really left me wanting. The flavor was very mild in my opinion and seemed a bit fatty. Though I didn't order it, I saw the "Famous Chicken Fried Steak" go by my table, and it was HUGE! The entire size of the tray. Probably 12" x 18", smothered in gravy. Originally I scoffed when I saw the $30 price on the menu, but I get it now. You can probably feed 4-6 with one. I'll be trying that if I find myself back in the Wagon Wheel. I'd definitely recommend the place to anyone who finds themselves in Eagle Pass, TX.

Country fried steak

Country fried steak 9/10 Chicharron Mac and cheese 8/10 Fried fish 3/10 My wife and I were in town for business. Before leaving I wanted to come and try this place I saw on Tiktoc. Since we just had Salt Lick BBQ, we wanted to try something different. My wife's country fried steak was enormous! Lots of flavor, crunchy and tender. Best country fried steak I have ever had. The Mac n cheese side was delicious, very creamy and the chicharron topping added another level of flavor. The fish and chips could have been better. My plate was forgotten and when they brought out my wife's plate, they asked what I was waiting for. When I said fish, they both looked at each other and I'm guessing my order was never placed or given to someone else. I had to wait another 12 minutes. By them I had already filled up with the country fried steak. The fish was flaky but it felt like I was eating salmon. The bottom layer of fish was very hard and chewy. I had to scrap the fish off the hard bottom layer. They also use packet tarter sauce. Over all, just stay away from the fish. I did read a lot of complaints from the last few reviews about the horrible customer service. They are very attentive but their failure to have my order complete is why my rating is so low. I will come back to have some BBQ

Famous chicken fried steak, chicharron Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and loaded green beans
Alyssa L.

A friend of ours told us about this place she found on Facebook and we knew we just had to try it. The restaurant is pretty small but for a Saturday afternoon, we didn't have to wait too long and the staff was so nice and accommodating to our party! You walk in and are immediately greeted with a smile and menu! You order before you're seated! The Famous Chicken Fried could easily feed 2-3 people! They use top sirloin beef and their breading is nicely seasoned and we loved that it doesn't fall apart when cutting, as most steaks I've had tend to do, which I hate! They put just the right amount of delicious white country gravy too! Now to the sides. So the order comes with two 8oz sides so we got the mashed potatoes and loaded green beans. But I'm a sucker for Mac and cheese so I had to order an extra side of their chicharron Mac and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! I thought it might have been mixed into the Mac so at first, I was a little hesitant but they sprinkle crunchy chicharron on the top which was a nice added texture. The mashed potatoes were tasty and I liked that they sprinkled some shredded cheese, the loaded green beans were a little on the salty side but I didn't mind too much, in fact, it was quite addicting. They Texas toast was nicely toasted and tasted buttery. I also ordered a sausage link to taste and the flavor was spot on. My mom and I paid about 50 bucks, for the meal and our drinks, this did not include tip, which we left on our way out in their tip jar. I highly recommend tipping of course because this place was awesome and the food did not take long at all! Overall, I think this place is pretty reasonably priced as far as BBQ spots go and for the amount of food they serve. We didn't order any, but our friends said their pork ribs were fall off the bone delicious. I knew I would be too full to try the brisket for dine in, so I ordered a chopped brisket sandwich with potato chips to go which was about 15 bucks. If you are in the Eagle Pass area, I can't recommend this place enough. Stop by, be prepared to wait and if you're patient enough, you won't be disappointed!

This Subway location is one of the first dining choices once entering town on US Hwy 277, near Hwy 57. I've been very pleased with this fairly new Subway property. The food quality & customers service level is always consistent. The dining room & restrooms are consistently clean. This location does have a drive thru as an added convenience feature. Whenever I do dine at Subway, I usually get a flat bread with Rotisserie chicken with lots of veggies. I have seen some variations on cheese choices on several locations. I'm happy with the cheese choices this location offers. I just wished mushrooms were offered as a topping. I would surely add mushrooms to my rotisserie chicken flat bread sandwich if available. I'll definitely continue to choose this Subway as a dining choice, whenever I'm in Eagle Pass for business or pleasure!

Before i knew it, my ordered arrived. Appreciated that the server reconfirmed I had not ordered drinks. Got home and tore into half of the Moons Over My Hammy and half of the Grand Slamwich.
