Dr. Clinton Cho and his dental assistant, Shari Oshiro are the real deal. His office is located in a Makakoa building across from Don Quixote where you will always find covered parking. They also validate which is a plus.
The office is beautiful with a collection of original art work, the waiting room is cool, clean and comfortable. You will hear lulling, soft music and Shari speaks so softly too that there have been a number of times I almost fell asleep. Except that your wait is only 10 minutes or less, you don't have time to.
Dr. Cho and Shari are both disarmingly personable, they care about your general health, family situation, former dental care, and patient comfort. Patient comfort, to the max.
I have a maniacal younger brother who is deathly afraid of needles and has often jumped at the sight of them even if they are 3 feet away. I try often to recall if he was ever traumatized as a child but to no avail. Mmmm, could be he's just a nut.
Dr. Cho is the only dentist on the face of this earth that he trusts. The occasional numbing injections are done delicately, patiently and with great skill. I should know. I happen to have a particular problem getting numb in my lower jaw and apparently Dr. Cho knows through experience that he has to reach far back in my jaw where artery....vein....g spot....whatever it's called, is.
He's done fillings, crowns, veneers, you name it and while it isn't painless, I would say that he is the 1 out of 5 (I've had 5 dentists) that can make the experience minimally stressful and I have always been very pleased with the results.
Anyway, he is the only one who can get me numb smack dab, right away. He gives me the time it takes, unlike my dentist uncle who used to tell me when I was numb and proceed to fricken drill while I jumped at every touch of the cold, hard, drill. Well, he's dead, rest in peace....the jerk.
OK so I have had a great many procedures and my teeth are beautiful for such an old fut. If the job is beyond his scope, like say oh, root canal, implants, or my mom being allergic to Novocaine, or my weirded out baby brother who shall remain nameless. James is in his mid 40's or preschool, whichever way you look at it.
So this dentist accommodates. He has state of the art x-ray technology, and I swear his office is set up all for the comfort of the patient. When you are in the chair, you are Dr. Cho's world. Shari's too. I love her.
If you are afraid of dentists, or just want a fine one where there are all pluses and no minuses, you need to give him a call. If you need a push in the right direction, tell him a fat patient of his recommended him. read more
