Bread not cooked right - raw dough
    Kelly K.

First time trying this place. I found it on Yelp. I got a loaf of buttermilk rye as it sounded interesting and a cream de nata tart. I am throwing out the loaf of bread that cost about five dollars as when I got home I found that it was undercooked inside. See photos. I have never gotten a undercooked loaf of bread anywhere. I cannot believe that they didn't notice when they sliced it for me!! The tart was nice and flaky but way too sugary. Kids who like custard should like them but I didn't care for it after a few bites because of the amount of sugar. What a disappointment.

I was introduced to Chmura's by neighbors who surprised me w a loaf of seeded rye and a humongous pastry known as a bismark. The rye bread reminded me of a bakery in Yonkers NY where I grew up. Very crusty and flavorful. About the best I've ever had. The bismark was filled w a whipped cream and raspberry jam filling. The fruit squares come in a variety of flavors (apricot, raspberry, fig, pineapple, lemon, strawberry rhubarb to name a few). All-in-all, a great neighborhood bakery which has been in business since 1902.

First time here June 4th 2020

I was here June 4th, 2020 for the first time. This is a solid bakery with lots to choose from. Their donuts are so big. The bakery is well lit and spacious. The staff were all nice, warm and welcoming. Very helpful in explaining what some of the items were that I didn't know. Picked up some bread to take home and a handful of donuts. The donuts were very fresh and filled plentiful. Very nice to see. The powdered jelly filled was the winner for me. Looking forward to get back here soon.

This dessert is similar to a long baklava topped with cinnamon sugar and raisins and layers of chocolate and pastry in between.

Delicious baked goods with friendly, attentive service. The staff is very friendly here with welcoming smiles :). The bakery has lots of space to hold many customers with a. variety of breads and sweets wrapped around you. I purchased lots of goodies and they were all good.

Excellent local bakery. Daily fresh bread. Pastries, especially the Portuguese varieties are worth a special trip.

This place being on a side street is definitely a whole in the wall. But do yourself a favor and ditch the Dunkin donuts doughnuts and get yourself some of these massive, filling, sweet, delicious beauties. These donuts are far superior to the big chain-mass produced blah baby doughnuts that is Dunkin. And please support local!! Because it so much better!!

Chmura's is the best Poish bakery in the area. Grab the seeded rye bread and a sugar cinnamon donut. Thank me later.

These are some of the best pastries and sweets I've had in a long time. Every piece I had hit the spot for my sweet tooth. It's a once a week visit with one new item to try every time. The pistachio strawberry cake was the perfect amount of sweet and creamy, super moist. There was no line, kind of a gaggle because everyone is in awe of the beauty that sits before them, but the staff seemed to be on top of who came in and when. Just make eye contact and you're next. It feels very comfortable and inviting in the shop. There are seats within the shop but after your first bite you'll probably want to leave because of how bad you want to devour the rest of the pastry and not want to embarrass yourself in front of everyone. Highly recommend the pistachio strawberry cake if you're feeling a cake. No picture because it was gone before having to leave this review... sorry. The fruits were good though, VERY SWEET.

"Top of the list King of the hill…read moreA number one" (Frank Sinatra) We've been to a ton of Italian bakeries over the years. But I don't think we've ever fallen as head-over-heels in love with one as we did when we set foot into the Russo Pastry Shop. It's one of the most visually stunning bakeries I've ever seen! Walking into the store reminded me of the moment in the Wizard of Oz movie when the images transform from black and white into color. That's because vibrant, bright, gorgeous colors are everywhere inside Russo's. An embarrassment of riches are everywhere in the form of cannolis, cookies, pastries, and cake slices, And if you want some savory treats to accompany your sweet treats, well... no worries because Russo has pizzas, calzones, grinders, frozen pastas, parmigianas, and soups. We picked up a gorgeous slice of White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake, and it was so fantastic it's hard to put into words. We went into their freezer case and picked up two entrees -eggplant parmigiana and chicken parmigiana. They were priced as a $16.99 BOGO deal. We had both last week, and the portions in the containers were easily splitable for the two of us. The chicken parm seemed to have more inside the container than the eggplant did, and we both thought it was better than the eggplant. In essence we ended up with four dinner portions for just $16.99. Do the math-that's a tremendous value. After you do the math, do yourself a favor and take a ride over to Russo's for a fantastic experience.

I all bought two slices of pizza - one was spinach ricotta, and other meatball parm. Both were very generously loaded w toppings. Both were very good, but definitely below New Haven-style. I guess I'm a pizza snob. They were just a bit doughy for my taste. So, 5 stars for the pastry, 3.5 for the slices, overall rounded to 4.25. 4 Yelp stars
