Still no response, and mind you this was still early on in the day. I eventually wound up sending her the text which I quoted below. "Hi, Since I haven't gotten a response from you these past 2 days in regards to rescheduling my appointment. After texting you, leaving voice messages and commenting on your Instagram account. I would like to be refunded my deposit. Thanks!" That got her to respond. - This deposit was labeled as an early access fee when I booked my appointment. Which I thought was strange. She claims she wasn't aware of it and had no evidence of it in her system.(even stranger) So I had to send her a screenshot of what I was talking about. She refunded me but what's annoying is that. When responding to me she simply responded saying what deposit. She didn't address the fact that I've made several attempts to reschedule my appointment and never got a response from her. Nor did she ask me about rescheduling. BEYOND UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE. And given the way she handled things I don't believe that there is really an issue at the building. She probably just didn't want to come in for my appointment!( And even if it were true. Why would you text me a couple of hours before my appointment. Instead of the day before when you firt knew of this issue.) I try to not let a few bad reviews detear me away from trying out an establishment. So when I saw them on the booking site and Google maps. I still decided to go ahead and book. Now here I am disappointed. NEVER AGAIN! I wouldn't come here if the appointment were going to be free! And I will be letting EVERYONE I know who's interested in the type of services she provides about my HORRIBLE experience! I got a reminder text three days before the appointment, which was appreciated. Trina was so sweet, personable and friendly. She did an excellent job with the massage; immediately figured out if I was uncomfortable with a certain pressure or movement and asked how she could change it. I got a great scalp massage and the knot in my shoulder straightened out. I really liked how there was no push to sell me a package or membership at the end (which happens too often at spas), Trina just gave me her business card, told me about the specials, and invited me back. The location isn't fancy-it's homespun and very clean and inviting, with plenty of candles and soothing music. You can take the stairs up to the second floor and ring the doorbell or take the elevator. There was a sign on the door when I walked up that said if they don't answer the door, take the elevator. They opened for me. Changed into slippers, confirmed my Groupon, asked if I'd like water or to use the restroom, then was shown to my room for the facial. The friendly staffed explained what I needed to change into then exited the room for my privacy. She came back a couple minutes later to get started. But first, she added an extra blanket and adjusted my leg rest for comfort. Oh, and there was a heating mat on the bed. It felt amazing!! She explained what was going to be done, checked if there was any adjustment needed, and was attentive to my movements. The extraction was not as painful as I was expecting which was great! The massage was so relaxing I wish I could get one daily. The mask was cold and refreshing. She left the room for a while during the mask part. I was so comfortable I was about to fall asleep. The woman who did my mani and pedi was really nice she paid attention to how I wanted my pedicure and how I reacted to her touching my feet (I am ticklish, which for me isn't enjoyable) she was gentle and there were no problems. I do wish I could say the same about my nails. I deducted a star just because I felt like she rushed my nails a bit and it was my fault when I smudged a nail but instead of repainting it she painted over the smudge and it just didn't look nice.
