Next time I'll let masseuse know I'll skip the chopping motion at the end and asked to be flipped from face down half way through as the entire 1 hr face down is too much. My cousins were raving about Chlitina for a while and I'm so glad I took their word and booked an appointment. I went in for a full body massage and facial on the same day. My esthetician was sweet and professional, and really strong for her petite size! I went in for a deep tissue massage and she maintained a consistent firm pressure the entire time. We had a bit of a language barrier but she made every effort to make sure that I was comfortable. I feel so much looser and my shoulders are no longer tight from all the knots. The esthetician started on the facial immediately after finishing the massage. The facial was so relaxing that I was dozing in and out of sleep the entire time. Went to Chlitina with my partner for the first time two days ago for a couples massage. We called ahead a few days earlier and asked if we can use the Groupon Deal. The staff member told use to pay for the Groupon price in person on the day of our appointment. We arrived 10 minutes early before our appointment. We were offer soft and deep massage. The masseuse charged us $20 extra per person for the deep massage although they did not mention this information of their Groupon ad or during the phone when we made our appointment. 1. We were not told that since we were first time customers, we didn't have to use the Groupon. We doing our after our appointment that they offer 50% off for all service for new customers. The regular price for deep tissue for full body massage is $80 per person. We could have paid $40 per person instead of $56 per person (with taxes). We saw their brochure after we paid $36 per person for the Groupon 60 minutes full body massage and the additional $20 per person. The total was $120.96 (with taxes). We could have saved $35-$40 per person if we were better informed. The prices of their massages is not listed at the front desk. The price brochure was not visible when you walk into the establishment. 2. Soft massages is not listed a list service in their brochure. Deep tissue massage is listed on their brochure. We were scammed into paying additional $40 for deep tissue massage. The company's Groupon did not tell customers that they would have to pay an additional cost for deep tissue. I included pictures of the Groupon ad and the disclaimer section. 3. The massages was only for 50 minutes and not 60 minutes. 4. The masseuses only worked on our back. They Groupon was for full body massage but we were only given back and leg massage. 5. The massage was mediocre. It wasn't deep tissue even after asking the masseuse for more pressure. 6. The place was noisy. Other staff members made a lot of noise when walking down the hall. The noise was distracting. We will not return to this establishment. We do not recommend this place. I got a 90-minute massage and facial package: Massage - about 30 minutes. All upper body. It's the next day, and some of my muscles are on fire, but in a good way, they REALLY needed to be worked on (I carry stress in my upper back/neck area). Sadly, I don't remember the woman's name who worked on me, but she really knew what she was doing. Facial - about an hour. I haven't really had many facials, but this was different than I remember my other ones. It was more of a 10-step product routine being done on me. Don't get me wrong, it was good, but not quite what I was looking for. There was no asking about my skin concerns/type, so I don't think any of the products were suited to my specific skin type, just generic products. (btw, if you have sensitive skin, or prone to breakouts, I probably wouldn't recommend getting a facial here). There was also no communication about what she was doing, what she was using, etc. There was a very relaxing 10 minute facial/neck massage that I thoroughly enjoyed. General - the space itself is not a fancy spa setting, but it is clean, and they played relaxing music in the treatment room. The woman who worked on me was professional, but as mentioned above, no explanation of anything (which was fine during the massage, but would've liked it for the facial). I was offered tea at the end, which was nice. Overall impression is that I would go back for a massage, but not the facial. But, I wouldn't necessarily discourage anyone from getting the facial if what I described is what you're looking for, it just wasn't for me. read more

The Girls Massaging would not Stop Their Conversation, in the Room And Down the Hall. Squeezing out my Black heads for 5 minutes and Throwing a Wet/Sloppy/Throw Away Towel Left on my Face for 20 Minutes was just BLAH. I've been going to May's Skin Care for years now and can't believe I haven't written a review yet! I remember going to see the owner, May, when I was still in college when I had major acne problems, and she literally saved my skin. As an adult now, I go to see May and Lisa periodically for facials or microdermabrasion. They are both so sweet and helpful and they never pressure you to buy anything. They are really knowledgeable on skincare and offer great tips and suggestions on how I can better maintain or take care of my skin. Over the years, the services I've done there include facials, microdermabrasion and laser hair removal. I loved them all and have never had any adverse reactions to their products. I believe they use a Korean skincare line but I can't remember the name. Their prices have always been reasonable and they offer package deals too. Parking in Chinatown is always a hassle but their location is directly across from a parking lot so that's always helpful when I'm in a time crunch and can't bother driving around looking for a spot. read more
