I live down the street and have had everything on the menu over the years. Staff is cool, all the food is good and there is a great neighborhood bar to catch up with old friends. Travel Note: A couple blocks south, you'll have to parkour the northwest sidewalk curb at South Everett Street & East Bridge Street when departing on foot. It is a certain booby trap after a few cocktails. Hope this post raises awareness and saves lives. read more

Ashley was FABULOUS! She's one of those people that exceeds your expectations, not only meets. Thank you so much for your service! The manager tuned the TV to the game I wanted to watch. It took some searching to find it, too! The food was great. Cooked and served well. The restaurant was clean and all the folks that were working were pleasant too. Thank you for the perfect place for my family celebration of a birthday. read more

Love the Italian beef with hot peppers. The chixerloin is top notch. Try getting it tossed In your favorite sauce My wife is a big fan of the country chicken bowl. She gets her chicken tossed in bee sting. I like the hot. Wait staff is friendly and hustles. It has become our go to restaurant in Streator read more

Small town, family restaurant. I've actually never been inside. I'm new here and ordered for delivery. 1st time, it was amazing, but the Texas toast was soggy. I had reviewed them commenting about the toast. That first order had the toast with the main dish. I've ordered a few times since but different stuff, always amazing. Tonight I ordered my chicken parm again. The toast? Separate, foil wrapped!! They listened, they corrected!! This place is a 5 star quality for both food and the amazing energy of their drivers, but extremely low prices! I can't wait till I can actually go in and see the place! read more

Good food and service. Family oriented place to dine and with reasonably priced choices and specials

Just showed up @ 9:10, place was lit up, door was unlocked & open. When I entered was told they just closed, @9:10 when posted is 10pm. Not a good way to do business. Won't be back! read more

I've been here for years and I do have to say their food is delicious sometimes it takes a little while but it's worth the wait ,the owner is very friendly ,they do have a full bar, their appetizers are amazing ,and so is the chicken, and so are the ribs ,and so forth and so forth ,the only thing is it is a little pricey, but what restaurant is it nowadays, give it a try it's worth it ,I guarantee you'll go back!!! my aunt comes down all the way from St. Louis ,and eats here for lunch and dinner ,both days, and takes it home ,it is her favorite restaurant !their wings are incredible ,they have a lot of different sauces, and they're all amazing ,stop in and give it a try and, if anything is ever wrong they're always willing to make you happy and to satisfy their customers!!! read more

Ordered delivery and took them a hour to deliver. When it finally arrived it was cold and they forgot the second tenderloin so had to bring a new one. Only thing is they microwaved the sandwich and sent it to me. Just disappointed since I even tipped read more

I've been eating at Chix since it was over at it's old location near Family Video, and I've always loved the food. The fries here and wonderfully seasoned, and the burgers are delicious, too. They have a friendly staff and a nice atmosphere in their restaurant! My only complaints are I wish they had a normal BBQ sauce rather than just Honey BBQ, and I preferred their spaghetti sauce they used to use way back in the day. Even with these complaints, the wings and the spaghetti are still delicious. If you're sensitive to loud noises, make sure to check their Facebook page to make sure they don't have a band playing there that night! Made that mistake once before and left with a headache. read more

We were visiting from the suburbs of Chicago and need a place to eat. We were NOT disappointed. We ordered a Ham & Swiss Sammie, Avocado Chicken Sammie and Burger 101 (cheeseburger). Everyone really enjoyed their sandwiches and loved the fries. Ingredients were fresh and tasty. Unanimous decision this was a great place to eat. read more

Streator people. Do NOT order from chix. They are rude. Unprofessional. Change your order. Charge you for things then don't send them and they say they don't offer what is on their menu. Chix Restaurant has rude delivery drivers that apparently don't know how to tell the truth. $50 for three cups of soup and a "special" fish meal. I've never had a problem ordering from anywhere. What an absolute embarrassment for Streator. Per the "manager". "I sent you the soup you paid for because we didn't send it correctly the first time. But you now owe us $4.50 for that soup because you need to pay for it." Your math isn't mathing and you're stealing from customers and lying and being disrespectful while doing so. Absolute disgrace. read more

Always consistent, great chicken and paste, drinks are good wait staff is always friendly and attentive

Not usually a breaded chicken fan, but their breeding is lighter and really good. House sauce is fantastic. Diverse menu with lots of options. Huge portions. read more

Been going here off and on since it opened over a decade ago but just realized I've never given them a review, so here goes... Chix has never disappointed me or anyone I have gone here with. Customer Service: Their customer service has always been top notch. Very welcoming and they have always been shown appreciation of my business. Food: A little disclaimer here: Do not come here if you are looking to eat healthy! They may have healthy food, I don't know, but you wont appreciate the place if you're looking to eat healthy. Chix has the best fried mushrooms I've ever had, hands down. Every single person that tries them with me has agreed. You do have to like beer battered food though to appreciate their style. Their cheese sticks are unique and yummy, made from Monterey Jack. They even beer batter their fries! Their ribs are worthy of a competition. The pasta sauce is well known around the area. Their burgers are great. Hell, it even feels as though they do something different to their fountain drinks to make them extra tasty. Final Thoughts: I grew up in Streator so I've known Chix since it opened well over a decade ago. I live in the burbs now and if you look at my other reviews you will see that I have a wide range of tastes. Still, there is something to be said about a place like Chix. They just do it right. If you're in the area, I highly recommend checking them out. p.s. If you're reading this Chix, make sure to always bring wipes with ribs. I may just be being a prissy dude here, but wipes are greatly appreciated when tearing up those awesome ribs! read more

You have to try their wings; best in the area, as far as I'm concerned! The food is fresh & the faces are friendly (two characteristics of a quality place to dine). Did I mention they have live music?! read more

I phoned in an order last Friday at about 7pm for pickup. I was told it would be an hour, wow I said, was told they were busy. I drove over at 8pm, called to let them know I was in the side parking just north of the side entrance. I waited 30 minutes before I went in to see what was taking so long...the gentleman said he would check, and found my order on the table just west of the door.. I said, I hope it is not cold, he relief, no it just came out. When I got home, everything was soggy like it had been sitting while hot, but not brought out..I was very disappointed and would have brought it back, but it was close to 9/pm already, and I was very hungary. Needless to say, not sure I will be ordering take out too soon. I so want to frequent local streator places especially during these trying times for you, but would like hot, not soggy food. Sorry for this crummy review, but know you would want to know good and bad! read more

Ordered tenderloins and took over an hour to get delivered. Even called to see when it was going to show up and didn't for another 20 minutes after that. Showed up completely cold. read more

1st time here from out of state TEXAS came with new friends Vactor. Awesome place food is good atmosphere great.

If i could go lower i would. What kind of idiots pack garlic and hot wings in the same togo container along with the ranch container. Half the chicken were un-eatable because they were just the pieces left in the bottom of the bag little bits that are just disgusting. Glad i paid for this garbage. I suggest if your gonna spend money for chicken go to KFC or just really anywhere, hell McDonald's would give you better chicken and not even real food. Shoot Chix cant even get a dang chicken salad right. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE AND SAVE YOUR MONEY PLEASE. read more

Very quick service, wings and burgers are better than expected, and they make vanilla Coke themselves, rather than have the pre-made syrup. Surprising empty on a football Sunday, but everything was awesome! read more
