While I was here in this establishment, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is behind the building and it is very small. The lot does get full quickly, so you may have to find some street parking, but that shouldn't be an issue. Establishment: The establishment itself is very clean, neat, tidy, small, and organized. They recently moved to a new location, and I love everything except the parking lot because it's so small. A nice upgrade in office space. Yay! And dare I say it was a very pleasant visit to Dr. Jen's office for the most part... compared to other doctor visits I've been to, going to Dr. Jen definitely won't be daunting compared to others I've been to. My first impression of the place was already a good start, with a very friendly staff and I appreciate that this place seems to keep things in order where I seemed to be the only patient in the office at the time (which is great for the pandemic situation). Dr. Jen was very thorough in my check-up and I specifically came here to also get a pap smear all at once. Very professional throughout, including his female staff member. The pap smear wasn't all that bad (granted my body wasn't cooperating for part of it but that's not his fault) and he made sure I was comfortable the whole time too. Logistics-wise, it was about 3 months out from when I made my appointment call, but I was ok with it since I didn't have an urgent reason. Office itself is in a good location. It's on the 3rd floor and you can find the entrance to the elevators next to the pharmacy. Bonus for the lab being downstairs if you need to get your blood drawn in the future after the doctor's visit, so it's nice that everything you need is in one location. There's free parking around the building and I didn't have trouble snagging a spot on a Friday afternoon.

Example, we were instructed to contact the pharmacy ourselves to have them fax a prescription order to the doctor. We received no response and as well as a text message from the pharmacy 3 days later stating they haven't received a response. I then called the doctors office to follow up to be greeted by a "What do you want?" and then put on hold for 15 minutes, which I eventually hung up and tried again. I also find discovered another mishap from a screening center that the wrong test was ordered and was sent back and forth between different centers. You would think the office/staff would have thoroughly looked at the patient files especially if these are more severe medical conditions I understand the healthcare industry is overstretched but these kind of impatient and rude people have no place in healthcare. It doesn't cost a dime to be kind. Not sure how they're getting 5 star reviews, but my guess is that those patients are receiving preferential treatment or catching them on a good day. He asked a few questions and then immediately prescribed us a bunch of medications, one for breathing, one for anxiety, and one for allergies. We asked for a referral to a specialist in psychology, but he just gave us Ativan immediately. We tried to ask, but he said take this first. I thought normally you would try to have the patient talk to a specialist or provide a holistic approach before prescribing medication, especially since it's a controlled substance and can be easily abused. At one point, they were redirected to a CVS inside a Target near LAX, which was completely inaccessible from my new home. Additionally, Dr. Ehresmann herself once recommended I use a small independent pharmacy in Pasadena to fill a medication that was unavailable at CVS. While that may have seemed practical at the time, these multiple pharmacy changes contributed to inconsistencies in my prescription history. I later became aware of NarxCare, a national prescription monitoring system that tracks controlled substance prescriptions and assigns risk scores based on the number of providers and pharmacies a patient uses. Though I have no history of misuse, I believe the mismanagement of my prescriptions--combined with a provider-recommended change in pharmacy--contributed to a false flag in the system, which has since affected how I am treated in other medical settings. I am sharing this to document specific process issues, not out of emotion or dissatisfaction.
