Advertised $5.99 rolled tacos on a huge sign out front then $7.00 on the inside menu and when I asked about it I'm told something along the lines of "they won't even do 5 rolled tacos anymore and only now do 3 because people order them so often" or some ridiculous thing along those lines. You could literally see the look of I'm lying straight to your face right now on her. You absolutely know enough people see that sign and want the deal and each time they have to lie about it. The food here was good, we ordered the California burrito, the beef taco and rolled tacos special. The service was quick but I am removing one star because the food was not warm, even though they started making our food after we ordered. The meat was flavorful, and my rolled tacos were thick, cripsy and covered in sauce and guac. We also enjoyed their hot sauces, a spicy green sauce that was our favorite and a dark smokey sauce that did pair nicely with the beef taco. read more

Stopped in for a late night meal with my wife, got a free drink with our food order. This is your typical small Mexican place environment. The service was good and I liked their green hot sauce. The food may not have been as fresh as I would have liked (it was late after all) but it still tasted good. I would go here again. All very tasty. Came with a roasted pepper on top. Even the pepper was delicious. I'm not a fan of sweet sauces on savory items but the touch of sweetness in their Enchilada Sauce worked. This place is A FRAUD! They steal your money and add tips! The young girl who was confused while taking my order updated the total adding $7 extra after the fact! I never left a tip and I was charged more! They won't let you talk to a manager or person in charge and they'll tell you there's nothing they can do. I'm reporting them to every agency possible! Since your OWNER, and MANAGER are never in they said! So they must get paid by taking money from the registers instead. Update!! My receipt shows she added a tip ontop of the tip I gave her! I've passed by Chito's a few times during lunch and one day finally came in. Located near Target right off the 78 freeway, you'll find Chito's Taco Shop. When I first walked in, I didn't expect for the restaurant to look big inside, but was pleasantly surprised. It was also well maintained. I was greeted by a friendly worker who took my order at the counter. Ordered five rolled tacos. Looked over at their flavored drinks and saw that the horchata dispenser was missing so I opted for a fountain drink. Their salsa bar already had individual containers of red and green sauce, a nice touch that seems more sanitary than your regular pour your own sauce bar. The guacamole that came with the rolled tacos was more of a creme versus your typical thicker guacamole. Wasn't too bothered by that since it was still flavorful. I also like how there was a substantial and equal amount of cheese and lettuce. It was a filling meal overall and a pretty good lunch option. read more

I don't know about the rest of their food but the rolled tacos are the best I've had in North County San Diego!! You can tell that they roll the tacos themselves because how they look and how thick they were. Also the green sauce that they put on the tacos is amazing! I will definitely be back for the real tacos. read more

The bread was crispy but soft, the chicken was tender, and the beans were nice and salty. Literally all a girl could ask for. For about $8, it was a quality sandwich. Not sure if they are using gold dust to make their beans, but they charged us $19.49 for a large styrofoam container of beans. My husband didn't pay attention to the price and paid it. Later seeing the credit card charge and thinking we were overcharged, I called to verify the price of their large beans which was $19.49. I then asked what a small side of beans was - the girl stated $9.74 ... WOW! They advertise a sign outside their location for 5 rolled tacos for 4.99 but when you go inside the menu will tell you 6.50 for 5 rolled tacos but it gets worse when you order 5 rolled tacos with the two choices being chicken or beef they will charge you 9.50! Yummy! On a whim the Hubs and I decided to try Chito's for lunch yesterday. As we walk in, we were greeted by a very friendly lady behind the counter. We placed our orders, and sat down to wait. About five minutes later, our food came out and we were not disappointed. The Hubs chicken burrito was enormous-seriously this thing could have fed two people with leftovers. My fajita plate was also huge (I'm sensing a theme), and piled HIGH with chicken and fresh peppers and onions. Chito's also brought the flavor! Everything tasted amazing. The Hubs ground through a huge bit of his burrito and I managed to eat most of my fajitas (I did opt to leave the tortilla untouched and just grind into the meat and veggies.). Chito's also has house-made red and green salsa for you to add to your dish to punch up the spice, and I fell in love with the green one, but they are both delicious! Chito's meets all my criteria for excellent fast Mexican: 1. Friendly service 2. Fast turn around time on my order 3. Delicious flavors and spicy salsa 4. My uncle has mentioned Chito's and I finally tried it out on Friday which has always been a burrito night for me. Recently, my boyfriend came here for lunch and recommended the Chile relleno burrito. The chile relleno burrito comes with Chile relleno, beans, and sour cream - the most important ingredients I can rememeber. I enjoyed it so much! The ONLY thing was it was not evenly distributed in the burrito.. I bit right into the Chile relleno and the sour cream started in the middle.. so that would be my only fix! They offer a really good red AND green salad to go with the burrito too. The service was friendly and quick enough. I'd go again for a Friday night dinner. P.s. I was mad that my boyfriend wanted a bite even though he knew how it tasted! He was the one who told me to order it! Very delicious Mexican food place!! The food here always hits the spot:). They have much to choose from, everything is really good. Prices are decent too. I had the fish taco special plate that came with beans and rice. The tacos are VERY GOOD! I get full with just one! We also had the carne asada nachos and those were really good as well! This seems to be our go to spot in the Sycamore Area for a quick bite :) The pineapple agua fresca is delicious and their hot sauces are too :) read more
