    Chicken and Steak Tacos

Cache Valley has a few hidden taco gems and Chispita Bakery is one of them! I recommend dropping in on a Tuesday or Thursday for their taco Special- 50 cents a taco! The tacos are small, but served with two choices of flavorful spice and a good balance of onion & cilantro. An Excelente spot to take co-workers on a lunch break. #riquísimo

Best Mexican food in Cache Valley and the guy who works the counter is always so friendly and helpful! Their taco Tuesday/Thursday deal is fantastic but their full-size tacos are also incredible and such a good price--the al pastor is out of this world. The super burrito is so big it will give you two meals!

It's pretty dang good, I love the authenticity and the fact that it is a hidden gem. Tuesday's AND Thursday's are $0.50 tacos--so just in case you don't get your fix, you can go twice in one week! The reason I'm not giving this place an incredible review is just that the tacos aren't to die for.. I can get the same taco and flavor at any of the other Mexican restaurants in town, but it's always the sides and salsas that set certain ones apart. This one only offers only one type of salsa and it just doesn't do it for me. The television is always turned up really loud, and the workers, although very helpful, don't really make a lasting and fun impression. The bright side: they sell delicious baked goods, so be sure to grab one if you're feeling it! Bread, cookies, and pastries. And they do supply you with a heaping of chips and salsa, which always does it for me. TIPS & TRICKS: * It's right next door to the sushi place, and the parking isn't the best. So park just right across the way near Twizzleberry and walk the 16 steps, it will be much less stressful.

Tacos are two for a dollar on Tuesday and Thursday. Complementary chips and salsa too!! Excellent place for inexpensive mex food. Insiders tip: Ask for the green salsa. They don't normally bring it out unless you ask - it flat out dominates!!

This place reminded me of Mexican food from San Diego! And the bakery section is such a nice addiction. Really affordable menu too

Delicious authentic Mexican food! Get the Chispita Mexicana, you won't regret it! The chorizo is some of the best you'll ever taste.

The Tuesday and Thursday 50 cent tacos are definitely on the small side, but what do you expect for 50 cents?

The soup was perfect on this cold day. I would have been fine with the bowl of soup but I had to add a sandwich (for later). I ordered "The Pilgrim" with no onion no tomato, and it came with a bag of chips. You don't have to rack your brain trying to decide what kind of chips because they only have one kind. I was really bummed cause when I finally sat down to eat the sandwich at dinner the first thing I smelled was ONIONS and then saw the tomatoes. I picked them off hoping the taste of onions didn't penetrate the lettuce. The sandwich was amazing. It was huge. So big I only managed to get through half and had the other half for lunch the next day. Despite the onion and tomato on my sandwich, I still think they earned that 4 star review.

Ordering is easy and they offer a free slice of bread. The staff is friendly and answers all questions. We tried the pilgrim sandwich and turkey pesto. The sandwiches had decent flavor but nothing to write home about. The process is very school lunch approach. Bagged mini carrots that were not fresh or a mini bag of Lays potato chips as a side. The bread was good and the order comes with a pickle. You have to pay 5$ for a bag with a handle. They forgot half our to-go order and we had to ask for it after we finished eating our dine-in order. They failed to mention they only serve Pepsi products, so heads up. Great for dessert and basic sandwich. Skip the rest. Friendly Staff. Maybe I'm missing something-likely the nostalgia that others have from years of visiting-but it didn't wow me. Like, at all. First of all, everything feels dingy and dirty. Kind of like your grandma's kitchen that's been around For.Ev.Er. and has a film of dirt and caked on dust upon every surface. That's what it felt like here. It was nice that you can order a custom sandwich by filling out a paper order form and handing it to the cashier. It felt kind of old fashioned and slower pace, which can be fun. I ordered a turkey sandwich and a cup of soup. The sandwich was ok-the turkey was fresh and carefully sliced. But the soup was lackluster. It was reminiscent of something Campbell's might make, or just a mass produced frozen concoction you get at Costco. Either way it was very mid. Would I return? Sure, if someone else really wants to go there. But if I have a say, I'll probably move on to something else.
