I was desperate, hopeless and was in so much pain that I could not even walk to the bathroom without someone assisting me. At the age of 29 I thought I was too young to end up in a wheelchair. I've seen physical therapist and they suggested an expensive physical therapy sessions and spine injection but asked me to sign a waiver that would held them unaccountable if I end up a vegetable after the surgery. I refused. Instead I searched for a more natural remedy and stumbled upon Dr. Deborah Turner which has 5 star online reviews. I immediately called and set up an appointment with her. Dr. Turner and her staff were all accommodating and very professional. They made sure you are being taken cared of. It made me feel at ease since I've watched videos of chiropractors cracking bones here and there lol! But Dr. Turner is very soft spoken, calm, very knowledgeable and loves her profession and it really shows! She explained that I have a severe Sublaxation or pinch nerves in my lower back. I was consistent in all my sessions with her because I understand that wellness doesn't happen overnight. And it payed off! Only few sessions after, I started to feel a little better. Now I can go back to all my favorite outdoor activities like running, hiking and biking and live a normal life without having to worry that my back would suddenly hurt again . Thank you Dr. Deborah Turner and staff for changing people's lives! You are a true blessing to us! Maraming Salamat po!! P.S: Dr. Turner's clinic are doing their best to help stop The spread of COVID19. They take body temperature and Lung Function Test with your index finger right when you walk in. They also ask each patients to wait 5 minutes outside to limit the number of patients inside so that we can follow social distancing.

But, at some point that's a pattern in my eyes. I called the office during office hours and left a message (no one had picked up). I didn't get a call back in the next few hours, thought, no worries, I'll stop by - wanted to see the office anyway. I came in and spoke to the office manager/ receptionist - Amanda. She was nice. Said that although this was one of his office days the doctor was out of the office for a personal matter. Ok, made an appointment for the following Friday at 10AM. Took a day off to be there. Fast forward a week. I come in at 10AM. The doctor is not there yet - that he was delayed by the weather (it was sprinkling) no problem, I sit down to wait. About 10 minutes later Amanda tells me that she just texted with the doctor and because of the weather he was delayed - ok, I say ok I'll wait, how far out is he? In Syosset. I stuffer with that - you don't get 40 minutes delayed by drizzling rain. She apologized for the inconvenience. I told Amanda that I took a day off to see the doctor, and although I'm frustrated, to call me when he gets in and we can find a time today that I can still come in - since I took a day off specifically for this. At 1:25PM, over 3 hours later I get a call that the doctor got called out on an emergency and wouldn't be in today at all. And that she can reschedule at my convenience. My convenience? At my convenience I would have seen him TODAY, as scheduled. I struggle to believe that both stories I received in the same day were both true. Really disappointed - can't believe I burned a day off for this. As a side note: this office seems to focus on "no fault" insurance.

George was the physical therapist who had first assessed me, and he did such a great job, my back felt immediately better after my session with him. Due to my schedule, I only saw George that one time, and the other times, I saw either Dimple or Patrick. Both of them give great deep tissue massages while patiently guiding you through various exercises, meant to train your muscles and to alleviate the pain you've been feeling. After about a dozen and a half sessions, I felt good enough to stop going in regularly and I still utilize their exercises to prevent any backsliding, no pun intended. I came here after going to another PT office for about 10 sessions. I injured my right knee while hiking and was diagnosed with a possible meniscus tear. I was told that I may need surgery, but tried PT first. The previous office left me with left knee pain on top of my right knee issues. I was able to get an appt fairly quickly in January 2021 and the front desk person was very friendly and patient. The first couple of sessions were standard diagnostic, manual massage, stimulation machine, kinesio tape, and exercises. On my third session, I felt like I was in a torture chamber in a third world country. Dr. Samir, though I wonder if he should really be called a doctor, wanted to work on my right IT band which was really tight. I am not sure if he just used his hands or a tool, but he started doing a rolling motion along my IT band. It was painful and I flinched and told him it hurt. He said it had to be done and that I should count from 1 to 10 to ease the pain. I did as told, but it was soooo very painful. My eyes were clamped shut and fingernails dug into the flesh of my palm from the pain. I was writhing in pain, yet he kept working on my leg. Yes, I should have been more assertive and said no, this is too painful. However, I assumed that he was the professional and knew what he was doing. This was obviously not the case as I ended up with a huge bruise as pictured. I went back for my last session and he barely worked my leg. I assume to prevent more injury. Again, he said it had to be done. He is not a good listener, the golden rule of patient care. He saw that I was in a lot of physical pain and did not provide an alternative. He basically said suck it up and bite through the pain. He is not professional at all and should not be seeing patients. Perhaps I really should consider taking legal action as this was not right and no other patient should experience.
