It's so easy to schedule appointments, he's wonderful to work with and very knowledgeable about lots of different things regarding health; i.e. vitamins, nutrition, etc. But the main reason I wanted to write this review was how he has helped me with very bad ankle pain I was experiencing at the end of 2018 in my left ankle. A problem that came out of nowhere. I had even tried a few months of PT which never seemed to help. Dr Ippolito started using cold laser therapy/Graston Technique for about a month and a half, a couple of times a week. The pain started to get better pretty quickly and at the end of those sessions, I was cured! Until this day, that pain has never come back. I've been getting adjustments from Angelo for more than 10 years. He's been in different locations in Long Island City & I follow him because he's terrific. He warms up your muscles with heat pads & pressure point muscle work that no matter how stiff I am, he always manages to get an adjustment. I can't say that about other chiropractors I've been to in the past. I love that it's a small office without a receptionist or staff; it's just Angelo. Dr Ippolito is absolutely brilliant. Last night, I had a useless 45 min massage at a cheap place where I go sometimes. Both ladies I know were busy. The lady I had was not awful but not the least bit gifted or intuitive. Zero English and low intuition a bad combo. But I was desperate. It was 100% useless though it felt good in the moment. I woke up no better than I was before the massage. Dr I. is the best chiro I know of. In LA, Saralie Liner. Here, Dr I. They work very similarly. If you want active release plus magic hands that do some deep work prior to adjustment, take the 7 from GC one stop. You will have a new lease on life. The prices are really good. Lower than anyone like him in NYC or LA. Manhattan Chiro's I called who do Active Release (all on 57/8th ) are obnoxiously overpriced. Rent so high. Dr I can provide the best care at a reasonable price because he's not paying a commercial landlord 50K a month rent. I am so grateful. He will help get me through this ghastly time, where I hate going to gym. Which means I am in pain all the time. I need steam/plunge/jacuzzi 5X a week not to live in pain. I am going through awful time. Lack of gym is destroying my body and mood. Much massage isn't structural. I plan to go every 2-3 weeks until my gym problem resolved. I hate my new gym. It's not close. I dread going. And the only cold plunge we ant gym is 63/Lex. My neck and back and shoulders so bad. Now all better. Mobility back. Last here 9/12. Today is 10/29. Way too long. On Monday, I pulled my upper back/neck and could barely move. In a panic, I found the closest chiropractor to me in Long Island City that had good reviews on Yelp (thanks fellow Yelpers!). I left a msg and Dr. Angelo called me back with an hour and (perhaps hearing the pain & panic in my voice), said he could see me that same day! During the initial consultation, I could tell he was genuinely interested in getting the whole picture--not only "the pop" I heard, but my medical history, habits (carrying a heavy tote bag on one shoulder) and exercise regimen. I appreciated that he didn't rush me in and out. He doesn't take insurance for this reason--he takes his time. That said, I felt the fee was very reasonable. During the adjustments, he told me when/why he would do something before he did it, which helped me relax. At the end of the first session, he asked me some nutrition-related questions and told me about the benefits of magnesium, which you can actually absorb through your skin if you take an epsom salt bath. Google it. Def helped with the pain. I went back for a follow up appt today (Friday) and was already feeling much better. I'm sure after today, I'll be back to 100% in no time. LIC is lucky to have L.I.C Chiropractic/Dr. Angelo and even if he wasn't in the neighborhood, I'd happily make a long trek to see him. He knows what he's doing, genuinely interested in his patients' holistic health and has a Game of Thrones chair with an interesting backstory (no pun intended of course). So after months of serious neck pain, with what I assumed had to be a pinched nerve, I read all these Yelp reviews and decided to make an appt. with Dr. Ippolito. I've always thought chiros were dangerous quacks, but I was desperate for relief. I called and left a message, and he called me back within ten minutes - he fit me in the same day. I was immediately impressed with his warm, friendly, no-bullshit manner. That first visit had to have been 30 minutes long, which is like an eternity when you're at the doc's. He took the time to explain his approach to me - he treats the muscular causes of pain, rather than just doing a series of brutal cracks and sending you on your way. He treated my muscles with heat, did some really effective trigger point work and stretching, and did one gentle "pop" on one side of my neck. Over the next few days, I noticed an immediate relief in pain, and the numbness/tingling in my left arm was reduced as well. Today was my second visit - he did a few more manipulations than last time, but they were gentle and conservative, and tremendously effective! I feel normal again, after having constant pain for months. What's more, I only paid $45 for the first visit, and $50 for this visit. That's a huge bargain compared to many of the other chiropractors I looked at before deciding to go with this practice. Been going here for a couples weeks after desperately looking for something to relief my chronic back and neck pain . I am not a big fan of cracking Im actually been scared of it in the past and told this to doctor Ippolito. He spoke to me and told me that he would check me out first and see if anything needed to be adjusted . On the first visit he only did one adjustment and boy did that make a difference . Overall I highly recommend Dr.Ippolito. I have visited him twice so far. He is professional, knowledgeable, and friendly and most of all his treatment is effective to me. If you want to know more details and my thoughts please keep reading. I have minor upper back issues (minor thoracic spine misalignment and cervical curve lost) and am sensitive to spinal discomfort due to my body character. Because of that I have visited numerous chiropractors in the past. Also I come from China where we have a long history of similar treatment in the traditional Chinese threptic system which also including acupuncture and cupping techniques. My point is that I have the exposure to various spinal adjustment/treatment experience and (I think) I can tell if a chiropractor is good or not right away. Treatment process: During my visit, I described my conditions and my purposes to Dr and he got it immediately. He applied heating pad first to loosen my muscles (good!) and then performed diagnostics by touching/feeling/moving my muscles/points around certain vertebrates (good!). Then he performs the adjustment to my spine. All is good! Want to highlight the way he adjusted my neck (although not my purpose of the visit...) was really comfortable and effective, showing great skills and knowledge. I usually feel the neck adjustments are brutal from most chiros. Notice he did not perform an x-ray in my first visit (although in my case I do not need one) which is the more common approach most chiropractors take. For most of the best doctors I have met back in China, they make diagnostics based on their physical contacts to my spine. I can just tell that Dr.Ippolito knows what he is doing by not totally relying on the x-rays results. I think he has the characteristics I like from both traditional Chinese spinal treatment and USA techniques, i.e. chiropractic. What's more, he is definitely not the "commercial chiropractor" who has an assistant to show you a rates plan or sth like that. He tells me to come around once a month or just based on how I feel. Great! My visit with him lasts about half an hour every time, very good. Also, as someone who is committed to CrossFit practice I also like the fact that he is a fitness trainer, I believe the positive connection between fitness and chiropractic treatments. Overall, the experience with Dr.Ippolito is excellent for me, partially because I know my body and I have experience in getting various chiropractic treatments, therefore the communication between us is as smooth as I can be satisfied. Like all reviews this review is subjective only to my feelings. LIC, ASTORIA, WOODSIDE, SUNNYSIDE, SEARCH NO MORE!!! I've lived in Woodside for the past 7 years. I used to work in Manhattan and had a chiropractor there, but have since changed jobs and no longer have frequent access to the city, and yet, my BACK. STILL. HURTS. I wanted to find someone close to my home, but the options in Woodside/Sunnyside are VERY limited (if you live around here, you know what I'm talking about). After a succession of nights with no sleep I needed to find someone desperately. I found Dr. Ippolito online by a simple search. I went expecting nothing but an evaluation, but I left feeling MUCH better (obviously not cured after the first visit) and psyched by his methods. He will NOT JUST CRACK YOUR BACK. He works on your muscles (which are often times the core of the problem) and then mildly does the chiropractic work of releasing (popping) what needs to be done. I am so happy I found this doctor. He will not push you with "Come in 3 times a week", but rather ask what works for you and then let you set your appointments. He will also (gently) make suggestions for a healthier diet/exercise routine. This is a diamond in the rough. I highly suggest it for people in the area. This is my first time seeing a chiropractor because I have always been scared of having someone mess with my neck or bones in the way out of the ordinary. My first initial response to meeting Dr Angelo and walking to the office was very pleasing he's very informative and listened to all my concerns, I was very comfortable and felt as I was in my own home receiving the procedure. I have been suffering from neck pain and my hands and feet have been tingling, I fly a lot for work so I know that sitting for so many hours on a plane has started to mess me up a bit. This week was my third session and I can honestly say he has reduce to about 80%. I'm very pleased so far and how you recommend Dr Angelo. This review is long overdue. I first found Dr. Ippolito almost 3 years ago when I worked in LIC. My neck and shoulders were causing me excruciating pain after pulling a muscle and I could barely turn my head. I should also preface this review with saying that I have personally worked for 3 different chiropractors in my life so I'm very familiar with their techniques and modalities as well as the way they operate their business. That being said, Dr. Ippoltio blew me away with his treatment. He was able to immediately target the area that was giving me issues. He is extremely intuitive and knowledgeable. He goes even further into massage and stretching when needed as well so its not just a quick adjustment and then being sent on your way. I respect his practice most because he has never once made me feel pressured into booking more appointments or trying to bill me for unnecessary procedures. He very honest, straightforward, and trustworthy. I regretfully have only come to see him when my body is really messed up but have finally made the commitment to myself to see him on a regularly scheduled basis moving forward. I have since moved away from the LIC area but will continue to make the trek to see him because it is so worth it. read more

The friendly and comprehensive neighborhood Chiropractor. So many people are complaining about the lack of services in LIC, but we still do have knowledgeable people in the neighborhood who are making a great job and deserves to be put on the map. Dr Ippoito is definitely one of them. When you meet him the first time you know one for sure. He is taking Health with a capital H. And even if you don't know if he can help you, at least, you see whatever he made for himself works perfectly. That is what we love in him his global approach that goes far beyond a traditional chiropractor. Whatever Health issue or concerns you may have, Dr Angelo knows the answer. And he is willing and able to really help you (except he was not able to make me quit smoking :)). His manipulations are efficient and precise both of us have never left his office without feeling a real and instant relief, whatever pain we were feeling (I guess carrying a 2 years old all around, may not help). But beyond that he offers you a complete evaluation of your health and gives you real tips that will help you getting healthier (especially to mention that he made us discover the importance of Vitamin D) . I've been a patient of Dr Ippolito's for 10 years now - wow! I started seeing him due to some therapy needed for my migraines, which I had no idea he could help treat. Over the years, I started getting back aches and so that's what I occasionally see him for now. Never knew anything about chiropractors in the past and I was definitely afraid of getting adjustments but he made me feel very comfortable. The treatments are always quick and painless - giving me much relief at the end. I don't think he takes insurance but it doesn't matter to me because he's worth going to. WOW! All I can say! I came in today because I messed up my back at the gym and my back pain was so annoying and kind of severe. I made an appointment the same day because I could not help it. He was my last option (but really should have been my first). I walked right in, he was super welcoming and very nice. I filled out the sheet, talked about my back problems bla bla bla. And we got straight to it. I have never ever seen a chiropractor before in my life (AND I WORK FOR ONE)!! Hands down this was such an amazing experience. The doctor made me feel super comfortable! It was very painful for me because once again I was in a lot of pain from messing up my back and because this was my first time ever getting my back cracked. It felt so good!
