The service was terrible. We came in at 6pm (5 hours till closing) and they were out of almost everything. (Chips, meat, and rice) We asked if they had any fresh beans and they stated this is all they had. The beans looked hours old. The food was lukewarm and I found an avocado skin in my guac! Typical Chipotle, in that the food never lives up to the hype. Carne asada had no color and very little flavor. Balance of the bowl was average, with the exception of the hot sauce, which was definitely hot! Server got the order incorrect, gave me salsa and no chips, then informed me that I hadn't paid for either. She helped two of the customers before she resolved my issue. I've read some bad reviews of this place since they opened. My attitude is, "give them a chance to get the bugs out". Well, I have. In my book, they've failed. A year ago I stood in line and ordered. They were out of steak. Fine. Supply chain I guess. Changed my order, got to the register and the person who checks you out was sweeping the floor. I was told she was the only one authorized on the register and she would be with me after the floor sweeping. Today, I decided to give them another chance, ordered online. Quick and easy. Got to the "chipotlane" with two cars ahead of me. My order was "promised" (their word) at 2:50. I waited behind these two cars until 3:15 at which point I was informed my order would not be ready for 15 minutes. Please go park somewhere. My 2:50 order was finally handed to me at 3:30. First off the door says they open at 10:45 AM. I was there at 10:45 AM and they didn't open the doors until 11 AM. I ordered a side of chips and guacamole, and their chips are stale. From 12 people working on the first day to 3. 1 griller, 1 food assembly person and 1 person responsible for both the drive through AND ringing every sale. This meant that my food was sitting there in front of me, and so was the food of the 3 people who came in after me while they were finishing a drive through order. Short staffed? fine. We had to try the new Chipotle after watching construction all summer. Everything was SALTY and I don't mean just a little bit. Hubby usually salts everything and he grabbed the salt shaker ... he never used it even tho the chips could have used some. The one thing that needs salt and they were unsalted. Oh and everything's extra ... Guacamole, queso, Chips ... I'd rather go to a sit down Mexican restaurant for the same price.
