I love the food at Chipotle but the awful service and mismanagement have caused me to write this review. We order through the App for pick up. I arrived at the designated time and no food is ready. The restaurant is filled with by my count 16 people and not a bag of food on takeout tables. Why is it that the Springfield Chipotle is run like the DMV? I waited a half hour for my food. Shockingly the order was correct as it is often wrong. Chipotle corporate is great at credits for these issues but frankly they need to wake up and realize this store is inefficient and mismanaged. In this time of COVID other places manage to be accurate in telling you when food is ready and making sure orders are correct. I can't bear going in here anymore. The whole point of ordering from Chipotle is fast, healthier, reasonably priced food but since it is never fast you have to ask the question why bother coming here at all. They are supposed to be open till 10pm, but when we got there at 9:15pm on a Thursday night, the door was already closed. A few weeks ago when I went to the store to order the bowel at 9pm (1hr before the closing), half of the buckets were near empty and the guy there just refused to get refill. As for online orders, we've been ordering from this location for a long time, but the food quality has been gone down hill, the portion is getting smaller and smaller, and the rice was half cooked a couple of times. We love Chipotle, among all the locations this is the worst store we've ever been too. It's a good location, we really hope they change the people and management there. read more

I went into this restaurant at opening time 10:45am. A man that works the morning shift on sundays walked past me and said 10:45 in a rude tone and no one came to help me. This store location is great and it is convinence for us to stop by, but we were surprised couple times with the quality of food. We frequently (at least once per week) visit nearby Chipotle locations (East Hanover, West Field, Union on route 22, New Providence, Newark) and generally found food to be consistently good quality. However, at this location, I somtimes find the rice to be too hard/dry and salty. One time, I had to throw out half of the bowl since it was just too difficult to eat. Even my son was complaining about how salty the rice and chicken. We will stay away from this location for now and check back after few months to see if food quality improve. read more

This is simply put by far the single worst Chipotle location of the dozens that I have ever visited. It was fairly well run when it opened; however, has been in a steady decline ever since. The staff appear to be purposefully working extremely slow as some sort of protest. Online orders are often delayed over thirty minutes. Employees are obnoxious and extremely rude when you ask them any question at all. The manager on site seems incompetent and does not care about improving the situation. Food is prepared in a sloppy and often inaccurate manner. I have seen more than one racist incident as well directed by staff towards customers while waiting. My wife and I ordered dinner last night through the app, with a 6:30 PM pickup time. I looked down at my phone when the food was ready; it was 7:30 PM. One hour later than promised. I understand things may go wrong from time to time, but this is not the first time it's happened at that Chipotle. Furthermore, there were orders promised at 6:45 PM that were prepared before our 6:30 PM order (confirmed by looking at the promised times on the tickets when orders were placed on the tables). Received my order at time promised but received nothing what I ordered. They did not include any of the toppings specifically ordered, the roasted corn, the pico de gallo, the romaine lettuce. There was very little meat, black beans or brown rice in my burrito bowl. I ordered extra meat which costs a extra $4.15 cents and only received the regular amount. Also ordered extra pico, not in bag but I paid for it. I have now had two recent negative experiences at this Chipotle and will not be returning for a third. The first time there was a line outside and I waited for 20 minutes, but did not see any orders put out inside the restaurant. I did not have time to wait longer and left. I did complain to the company and was fortunately able to obtain a refund. My husband and I gave them one more chance. He had to wait over 20 minutes again for 2 burritos and it turned out they were sitting behind the counter the whole time. They were dry and cold by the time he got them. read more

Although this is the closest Chipotle to my house and quite convenient for me, I choose to not go. The staff is rude/ not paying attention most of the time. Food feels like its been there for a long time. There is always a line even if there are only two people in line. (Like how c'mon) Bad experience all around. Do not come to this location on Morris Ave in Springfield. Totally mismanaged. We like Chipotle, but not this one. We went there last month not knowing that we must ordered online. They had no way of taking the order in person inside even thought we were standing there in front of the counter. Therefore, we login with our phone and ordered online while we were sitting in the dining room. We clicked pay, but nothing happened. We hand the phone to the restaurant manager and she tried, but no luck. Their system would not complete our order even though we did everything correct. We had to leave empty handed and went to the Wendy across the street instead. Yesterday, 6/8/21, we went there again and found out they could take orders in person inside, so we placed our orders in person, but was told that we have to wait 15 minutes because the chicken was not ready yet. There was already a waiting line that stretched out the door. They packed our bowls up, closed the containers and said they will pack the chicken separately later when it's ready. 20 minutes later, they gave us a small container of chicken, in a small sauce cup. I looked at it and said that's not even enough for one spoon bite in my mouth. Please give me more chicken. The server took the tiny cup to show to the manager and the manager said "you can give him more chicken". The server then threw the small cup into the garbage can and got a slightly larger cup for more chicken. I can't believe she threw away that small cup of perfectly good chicken in the garbage can even though it wasn't much. It was never touched by us. What a waste of food. Even the slightly larger cup did not hold much more chicken because she did not fill it up full. How stingy. We also got a pork bowl, and the pork had so much fat in it that we kept spitting them out of our mouth. Disgusting. This place needs major improvements with better management and training. Chipotle is my go to lunch but this location specifically is the worst chipotle I've ever been to. The workers are rude and look like they're miserable. They are very stingy on the ingredients while making the burritos and the meats just don't taste good. I decided to go to this location because I was traveling. I got in line and ordered a burrito. They asked me if I wanted rice and proceeded to give me the smallest amount of rice I've ever seen. It wasn't even the size of my palm. I asked for more and the girl scrunched her face, rolled her eyes and told me I had to wait for more. She made me wait 20 mins just for rice and made the rest of my burrito with a crusty wrap. The broken, crusty, half open burrito was not worth the $15 I paid for it. On top of everything the line looked filthy and there was dried crusty food everywhere.
