We went 6pm on Saturday to get the bogo for wearing a Christmas sweater. We waited 30 minutes in line which really isn't bad but the line was incredibly short. There was garbage on the floor, huge piles of dishes on the metal prep table, 3 employees hiding by the drive thru (only one car there the whole time we were there), 1 person pretending to cook and one pretending to cook and doing the check out , and 1 person serving the customers. We heard them continually telling customers they had no chips, then steak, then no veggies, then no brown rice. By the time we got to the front, there was barely food left at all. We managed to get veggie bowls without protein and veggies bc ofc they were out. After making Christmas cookies all day the last thing we wanted to do was go find something else for dinner so we settled. There was food on the grill cooking but nobody cut it up. There wasn't a real adult in sight- only kids...this place definitely needs to be managed. The staff weren't changing their gloves from managing cash to scooping food/ handing out to go orders. When we were there 5 customers walked out- 2 because they waited so long in line without moving, 2 because they literally had no food left, and 1 because there wasn't chips. Somebody placed a to go order and they couldn't give them 4 items on the list! Between the huge mess on the floor, overflowing garbage cans, lack of food, long wait, and no compensation for paying for legit white rice, we won't be back again! This store is hit or miss. I'm usually okay just living with it because it can just be an employee issue rather than a store issue. But I recently put in an order for pickup and got 2 embarrassing burrito bowls. Small, hardly any rice, salsa was missing half the ingredients and overall bland. Dirty, dreadful, and understaffed. We popped in here for lunch and the place looked like a bomb had gone off. Trash was all over the tables and floors (and worse, behind the counter in the food prep area) and there was a puddle of slowly growing trash juice making it's way across the floor from the trash bins. They had two people on staff as far as we could tell. The health department should shut this place down until they get new management. Finally, a manager opens the door at 10:58 am and said no food until 11:30 am since we have a huge catering order. 12 people there and I were in shock, so I said to her you mean to tell me we have been waiting here 13 minutes and you could not have told us earlier or leave a sign, sorry we will open at 11:30 for staff training. She again said no food untill 11:30... There was a female officer who was waiting in car and told her what was going on as well. I have $8 left on gift card, and I will show up 10 minutes till close and piss them off and leave at 13 minutes after closing to see how they like it... and then I'm done with them... I had to cancel my online order and I never got my money back. Chipotle, you still owe me $30.00. When I ordered online, I had to wait 45 minutes and still didn't get my food. I should have just waited in line, because there was no one in line. Literally, 14 people were standing around waiting for online orders. I thought I was being proactive. The manager would not help me. The orders here are particularly never right. Pick-up, delivery, and eat-in are trash experiences because they never wipe down the tables. When I get there the drive through line was so long that I decided to go into the store. On our most recent visit (tonight), they wouldn't honor any online orders and were making customers who had ordered online get refunds and stand in line to order again. On our previous visit attempt we ordered two bowls and two bags of chips and received 100% wrong bowls and no chips. They could not refund us for the chips that they didn't have, and told us to go online to resolve the issue (which also was challenging since apparently the online support can't refund rewards points). While I've had good experiences here in years past, I have absolutely no faith left in this location. The only thing I can depend on here is that there will be a long line. read more

First, I would like to say that this is the worst chipotle in the Pittsburgh area. Every time I come here, there is always an issue. It's frustrating because I used to work for chipotle for 5 years, and the care that we used to put into our jobs was so much more than it seems now. I avoid this location as much as possible. The only reason I went today was because my husband thought I was being dramatic LOL. They were out of steak, had no vinaigrettes (which honestly is like 99% of the time at this point), and were out of small drinks. If that wasn't bad enough, when we got home, we discovered they forgot to give us the chips we PAID for and the rice in our bowls was not cooked thoroughly. Every time I've brought up any issues to management they honestly couldn't look more bored and unimpressed. It's irritating to know that someone who doesn't care about their job makes more than I do as a teacher with a master's degree. (My sister was aGM of chipotle, so I know what they used to make...) I do not take giving bad reviews lightly, and I do like Chipotle or I would not have stopped at this location. However, this may have been the dirtiest restaurant I have ever been in. I was going to order a chicken bowl to go but they were out of chicken at 2:30 pm and it would have been a 15 minute wait. I should have waited. I ordered the carne asada bowl. The meat was barely warm and the amount of fat and gristle was unacceptable. I understand that staffing issues make it difficult to operate a fast food restaurant, however, the manager(s) of this location should be embarrassed. I remember my first experience going to Chipotle about 5 years ago, and the experiences my family and friends have had in the last month. Chipotle was once consistently good, with friendly employees. Chipotle-particularly this location, is now consistently filthy-the floors, the tables, the restrooms. And now the employees, with the exception of a few, always appear to have been drinking or using drugs. The last time I visited this location I absolutely and undoubtedly got food poisoning after eating my burrito. My friends who also frequently visit this location have had similar experiences of getting sick after eating there. I just feel like the overall quality of this location has taken a dive. I would rather pay a little more and go down the street to Old Mexico where the employees are nice and the food is consistently good. As a person who works in Human Resources and management, I think this restaurant could benefit from a visit from the corporate office and some employee training/drug testing. read more

I work in the Pleasant Hills area so I sometimes come here for a meal. The service generally just a little below average but it works & I do like the food, even though it can be pricey. Today (8/18/2024) around 12pm, I was eating my steak bowl when an employee who works there & off the clock came in with her child, started talking about one of the other employees' sex life RIGHT OUT IN THE OPEN! She was loud, obnoxious & thought it was funny. It's disgusting & off the charts inappropriate to talk about that stuff in front of a patron! Granted, this type of job does tend to gravitate toward the younger less immature crowd, but anyone who's even half civilized enough to have ANY JOB should know that is so offensive & unprofessional to discuss graphic sexual topics out in the open in front of customers trying to dine in! This really put a damper on my dining experience. I realize this is a fast food like establishment so I generally don't expect a top notch 5 star cuisine experience, but still!!! To sit there & try to enjoy my meal only to hear the employees talk about sexual things? THAT'S JUST PLAIN TRASHY!!! And anyone in their right mind would agree! I hope this reaches a management level who would actually do something about this & not just turn a blind eye.. Walking into that Chipotle is like stepping into a time warp. You enter with the hopes of grabbing a quick, satisfying burrito, only to find yourself stuck in a never-ending vortex of tortilla misery. I swear, you could grow a full beard waiting in line at this place, and I'm not just talking about the men! The employees there move with the agility of a herd of sloths on tranquilizers. I've seen glaciers move faster than these folks assembling a burrito bowl. It's like they're competing in the World Championship of Snail Racing, and they take their job a little too seriously. You know those tortilla presses they have behind the counter? Well, I'm convinced they use them to crush customer's dreams instead of making actual tortillas. Each press down feels like an eternity as they painstakingly attempt to create a tortilla thin enough to rival a piece of tracing paper. I mean, come on, guys! It's just a tortilla, not a Picasso painting! And let's not forget about the line management. I've witnessed world records being broken in the time it takes for this Chipotle to move a mere three people forward. It's like watching a game of Red Light, Green Light, except the lights are permanently stuck on red. You'll have more luck getting through a metal detector with a pocket full of coins than you will advancing in this line. Don't even get me started on the salsa bar. It's like a sadistic culinary experiment designed to test your patience. You'll find yourself staring at the empty salsa containers, waiting for a miracle that never comes. You'd have better luck discovering the lost city of Atlantis than finding a fully stocked salsa station at this Chipotle. I must admit, though, this whole experience has its perks. It's a great way to practice mindfulness and test your limits of endurance. Who needs meditation retreats when you can stand in line at Chipotle for an hour and a half, contemplating the meaning of life? In conclusion, if you're looking for a place to kill time, bond with fellow sufferers, or test your tolerance for slow-motion service, the Chipotle on 51 in Pleasant Hills is your haven. Just make sure you clear your schedule for the rest of the day because the clock will tick slower than a sloth on vacation. Bon appétit and enjoy the wait! Placed an order yesterday at 5pm for a 5:30pm pickup. I arrived at around 5:30, waited until 5:50 to ask the status of my order. I was told I was 8th in line and it was going to be a while. I walked out, took my wife and kids home, came back at 6:15. I didn't see my order on the wall, waited until 6:25, then asked the status. They just deleted my order, gave me an attitude about it, then took another 15 minutes to make the food. Additionally, they missed the large chips and guacamole that I ordered completely, so the money was wasted. They do not answer the phone, even outside of the "rush" hours. THIS PLACE IS A DISGRACE TO CHIPOTLE To start this off I once worked at this location 4 years ago and that is nothing compared to what it is today... It is ran by a young blonde and brunette managers (I assume because they're always standing around, goofing off, on social media posting, etc) that have very little to no experience in running a restaurant/fast food place since chipotle is supposed to be above fast food, but these standards are disgusting. The line will be out the door and everyone on the entire line is moving slowly, cashier, to the managers in the both/ working POS that just watch all this go down and nobody steps up and acts fast, a line of 10 people will take 20 minutes to go through. This chipotle needs serious help, new staff, managers, everything. Get your act together and stop smoking marajuana and do your jobs.
