I really want to love this Chipotle (Macon GA) because I love the food, but the experience keeps getting worse - or maybe it's just consistently inadequate. Every time I come in, it feels like I'm inconveniencing the entire staff. The attitudes are consistently unfriendly, and it's not just one person - it feels like a group culture issue. On my most recent visit, I walked in and was immediately yelled at that they were "cash only". No greeting (ever) just shouting. I actually had cash, which is rare, but when I went to order tacos, the employee dived beneath the counter for a moment and then reported - "we do not have tacos shells". At the point, I just turned around and left. I won't put myself through this anymore, which is disappointing because I genuinely like Chipotle food AND it's very close to my work. This location needs to take their management and have them train the folks over at the Warner Robbins location. I have been a fan of Chipotle for years until moving to Middle Georgia. Recently I found out about this location in Macon which is close to a hour drive from where I live but happy to have it as a option while traveling through the area. It was a Sunday evening around 6pm when my husband and came to this location. Upon walking in we were greeted by a friendly staff. The restaurant was not extremely busy but there was a short line. This location is much larger and nicer than several locations that I have been to. The tables were all clean, everything was in order. We both ordered salads. It was obvious that there was some training going on because the young lady that started my order failed to add the lettuce first, as soon as what seemed to be her manager realized I ordered a salad she started the order over herself. They had everything in stock including the fajitas veggies and salad dressing. I should have not been surprised but this is the first time in months that I have been able to get everything on my Veggie salad. Everything was cooked perfectly and both of our salads were delicious. We had a pleasant experience and will definitely be back. I now have a renewed confidence in this chain. Second time in here this week and both times had major flaws. Someone from corporate should step in to make this location acceptable to Chipotle standards. Tonight there was no chicken, no veggies, no brown rice and they were upsaling everyone on steak because they didn't have chicken ready. Second, printer is broken and no way to provide a receipt, this is a problem if you are out of town and need to show receipts for your meals. No ice in the ice bin, every single table was dirty, no napkins, no utensils and the trash bins were so full customers started putting food trays on the tables. My food was completely inedible with exception of the tortilla chips. The steak was undercooked and not even warm-no chance it was at a health code required temperature. This review is based on multiple visits during the afternoon and evening timeframe. The Macon location is consistently bad. They are always out of key items and especially vegetables. When asked if they are cooking more, the staff's answer is consistently, we will have some tomorrow. While being well staffed, this location disappoints. No need to contact corporate as nothing will change. I hope my review leads to some major changes. I can only imagine the revenue this location is losing with customers choosing not to visit due to these ongoing issues. They do not open at 10:45 per their stated hours. Usually they unlock the doors around 10:50-11AM and will stand behind the counter and watch as you try and open the doors that they have not unlocked yet. Other times the side door was open but there were no signs to tell customers at the main entrance to use the side doors. If it's broken, then you're turning customers away thinking you're still closed. It's usually messy by the time lunch rush rolls around. It's rarely ever cleaned continuously. Especially the two back tables that are out of sight. They're usually running out of something at lunch to which I have seen employees yell at each other employees. Someone who appeared to be the manager told an employee that they had to count money and would not help the employee at the register when it was clearly slammed. Chicken especially would run out and they get told off by employees at the to go station not to take chicken from that side in order to keep the inside line moving. I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed my meal. I had only been to another Chipotle in a difference city and the experience wasn't great. I had the Keto Salad Bowl and it was excellent. The establishment was clean, the restroom (men's) was maintained and the staff was courteous and efficient. My main complaint is that the seating is ridiculously uncomfortable. Chipotle seems to want carry out customers rather than dine in. That is the message I received while eating in the business because of the seating. On the plus side, the menu is fairly extensive and nicely priced. I will go again, but, Chipotle will not be one of my go to Quick Service Restaurants. I was really excited when I saw that Chipotle was less than a mile from my new job. I have been to several Chipotles in Georgia and having this healthy alternative so close to where I work made me very happy; until I made my first lunch order. I wrongly assumed Chipotle was a franchise and so for that reason I was going to give this place some grace but now that I know it is not, I am begging someone from the corporate office to send a secret shopper to this location. First, the store was filthy when I walked in. And I understand this was around lunch time, so it was a little busy, but the floor was sticky, all the available tables had some sort of leftover food, drinks and dirty napkins on them. Dirty napkins and food was thrown all over the floor. The beverage station was so bad I was glad I didn't order a beverage. I really couldn't believe what I was seeing from Chipotle. McDonalds dining room is cleaner than this location! Immediately my hunger pains subsided when I opened my bowl and saw the romaine lettuce was every color of the rainbow. I still suffered through a few bites (everything was luke warm to cold) but ultimately tossed the bowl and headed down the street to Panera. I will not be returning! And it's so unfortunate because not only will I not be ordering lunch for myself, I also will never order any catering for my office meetings, fearful someone may get sick from the unsanitary conditions of this place! read more

I did a preorder on the chipotle app thinking that this would be a better experience. They decided to put chicken instead of my steak I ordered "because the steak was not ready". I feel bad for the employees because they are constantly apologizing for what's missing. The excuse is that there isn't enough customers. Not sure who is at fault but I arrived 20 mins before closing and while I do appreciate eliminating food waste by not over preparing ingredients near the end of the day I was disappointed that they had "run out" of nearly half the ingredients that I would normally order for my burrito only to find out that any leftover ingredients they have they actually save for the next day. So if that's what they usually do then why not keep all the ingredients prepared and ready for your customers during your normal business hours? Employee hands a cup (after forgetting it) to the customer in front of me--four fingers on the inside of cup, thumb on outside of cup. Forgot to mention, no glove or hairnet. It gets better. This place has gone way down hill. I've given them several attempts to convince me otherwise. We've had issues with the food and service SO many times in the past but have kept giving them a shot (for over the last 2.5 years). My final straw happened when my partner told me about how he was treated there. We ordered online and arrived at pick up time. He then proceeded to get deprioritized over every person in line, including other pick up orders. The cashier told him, "Sorry ma'am or whatever you have to wait I'm too busy." He was offended and shocked by this level of aggression. He was being extraordinarily patient as she served everyone before him.l for over an hour. Our food was horrible- there was a lot of rotten lettuce in my bowl. My stomach is hurting after eating here. There is no pride in the quality of service or product. "Customer service" means uncaring and rude responses. And now aggressive and disrespectful apparently. They are clearly understaffed and pick and choose who they want to serve first. The servers were all bad at their jobs, the Al pastor was cooked incorrectly I have eaten chipotle hundreds of times in different locations and not once have had Al pastor prepared this poorly. To the owner: Your employees deserve better. It truly should not be left to the customers to teach your employees customer service. Upon entrained of anbiut into the restaurant, appx 10 feet in and 10 feet from ordering, the employee made distinct eye contact and turned and walked the other way without mention. There was no "welcome to moes" feel... this is not moes so whatever, but how about a greeting if you're going to look at me as I walk to counter to order. Sad thing that I think is noteworthy, when I am with my interracial family, the experience has been much better. When I am by myself, I am treated much differently. Once my burrito was made, (and it was good), and nobody was next in line, I said "Excuse me, you may not realize that when I walked in, you made eye contact with me and chose to turn your back on my and say nothing. As, a business owner in the service industry, I would have trained you differently. And after you were trained if you chose to not provide excellent customer service to EVERYONE, I would replace you on the spot". My consultation rate is $100 an hr per employee. I won't charge you this time, because I know my words went on deaf ears as I began hearing the cooks getting mouthy before I even made it past the register to pay. Thankfully, consumers have options. Last week I came by here to eat and followed my gut and choose another place instead. Today I decided to give Chipotle a try and will most certainly not be an establishment I spend my money in any longer .I will choose to go somewhere else whether I am by myself or taking the rest of my family with me from this day forward. Me and my wife has a bad experience here this past Saturday. These workers acted like they don't appreciate their jobs. Customer service is bad. There We even saw two employees arguing real loud in front of customers and did not care who was looking. The young man ended up walking out and another employee had to calm him down. Whoever is in charge of this location and its employees really need to train the staff on customer service, being friendly, and employee conflict. I went to this chipotle and order a bowl with sofritas (the plant based meat). Overall, the food was good as well as the service. However, I am pescatarian and as I was eating it I discovered a piece of steak in my mouth when I took a bite. I was very displeased as these things should not be mixed at all and be taken better caution when serving. I also ended up getting food poisoning later in the evening and throughout the night.
