We were seated right away, and the service was great--the waitresses were friendly and attentive. The décor featured authentic Mexican touches, which really added to the experience. The food did not disappoint. I ordered a variety of tacos: steak (carne asada), chicken (pollo), and al pastor. I enjoyed all of them. The al pastor was a bit spicy, so if you like heat, that's the taco for you! My favorite, though, was the steak taco--so soft and delicious. Honestly, it was the best steak taco I've had in Indiana and Chicago. If you're looking for a new Mexican restaurant to try, this one is a must!

I have walked out previously when this lady was at the counter because she seemed really put out that I came in and was ordering food. My destination was 5 minutes away so that is when I started eating. Discovering the tasteless, small steak burrito was disappointing. It was the amount of grease dripping out of it that made the burrito really bad. The chicken torta had the same issues. So, I'm done. The food runner insisted the red sauce was tomatillo sauce, which was clearly incorrect. What stood out most was the lack of service continuity. We were seated by the window and noticed our server, Jacqueline, left around 6 PM simply because her shift ended. There was no introduction to another server or any handoff whatsoever. After waiting quite a while with no one checking on us, we eventually had to go to the host stand ourselves just to close out the bill. Our tab was around $200. Rather than dine and dash, we paid in full for the food and drinks, but chose not to leave gratuity based on the experience. The food itself was nicely presented and overall tasted good, but high prices comparable to Chicago do not automatically make a restaurant upscale. If you're looking to overspend on Mexican cuisine while receiving poor customer service, this may be the place for you.
