Went into place an order very hungry and I was just completely disappointed. The meat looked crusty and disgusting and I ordered a side tortilla warmed up and it was stale and hard. Both of the chipotle's I've been to in Danbury have been very disappointing. The staff is rude and just seem like they're out of it. I will never come here again. Chipotle used to be one of my favorite places to eat, but the brand is clearly slipping This visit was beyond unacceptable. Not a single table was clean. Bottles and trash were scattered everywhere. Garbage cans were overflowing, with trash spilling into the drink area. When we looked at the food line, every metal pan was scraped down to the bottom with dried, crusted food around the edges ...instead of swapping out pans, fresh food was being poured on top of old residue. That's unsanitary. When we asked if we could get fresh food, the employee simply went to another station and scraped from a different pan that was also already empty and crusted. At that point, my wife and I were completely disgusted and walked out. When we mentioned the filthy tables, the excuse given was that they were "really busy." Being busy is not an excuse for basic cleanliness. This is a national brand, and minimum standards should be non-negotiable. Extremely disappointing. read more

This place just can't get it together never will and never has been. Garbage on every table and the floor garbage bins in the restaurant overflowing. Chips weren't available or ready, drink machines weren't working. Why is it so hard to put one employee in the dining area at this location for an entire shift to clean off tables and take the garbage out. I had to apologize to my wife for the appearance of the restaurant because we were sitting at a table but it felt like I was sitting on the floor amongst all the trash. I've gone plenty of times and sometimes the service is rlly good but sometimes it is horrible(most of the times it's bad) I went there recently and they got my order completely wrong , and were very rude abt it! I order a cheese and chicken quesadilla and they gave me a small childrens taco. When I asked them abt why my quesadilla was smaller than usual they said that was the normal size. And when I asked after I paid they then said that the quesadilla machine was not working. Also the worker at the front, did not give me fresh rice and continued to give me and my friend dried up rice. Countless times they have also refused to give me more chicken when their meat is out, instead they make me choose a different meat instead of making a fresh batch. I went to this location for an in-store order on July 6 around 5:30 PM. The first thing I noticed was that the tables were filthy. As were the floors. It looks like they hadn't been cleaned all day. There was one person in a corner table, probably the cleanest one he could find. My food was OK. They were out of tortilla chips. There is forgivable, certainly after our holiday were perhaps deliveries were delayed. However, it does not explain why when I got a soda. The soda fountain did not have any ice, and the soda was warm. My Coke zero ended up being a root beer. I went back in the store to tell the cashier and was given another cup, but no apology and they didn't seem to care. Four of the garbage cans that were in there were overflowing with garbage. Again, it looks like they hadn't been touched all day. It wasn't that busy when I was there. Two people in front of me and one came to pick up their order. If that's what the front of the house looks like, I wonder how gross the kitchen is. read more

I love this chipotle. It's conveniently located in the Trader Joe's plaza. You can shop for groceries, get some wine and hit up the chipotle on your way out. They've been very safe and clean during covid. It is never over packed and people respect the social distancing. Staff is always friendly and wearing masks and gloves. Can't really say anything negative about them just keep up the good work and thank you for feeding us! read more

Tempted by the carne asada special we went here at 5:30 on a Saturday and would not go back. The food itself appeared ok at first then I noticed there wasn't a clean table in the place. I also discovered the ice machine was broken and the staff shrugged his shoulders and said no ice. One Coke nozzle was out of syrup and the other was flat. I asked for this to be refilled and it wasn't by the time I finished my meal so I asked for a refund of the soda. I also noticed the chips I ordered seemed stale and not fresh. Needed a quick meal so tried Chipotle. The line moved fast everyone was wearing masks and gloves. The food was warm but not hot it should have been warmer then what it was. Their prices for sides of guacamole and queso are rediculously high. read more

I use to love coming to this chipotle, food quality is still there and the severing staff are friendly. You can clearly tell it's management that is the problem. It's terrible. Just like the other 10+ reviewers had mentioned. After 7:00 PM, it's like your being severed scraps. They are always out of half of the menu and mind you they have TWO serving stations, one for mobile/delivery and the one for in store customers. As far as cleanliness, the servers are good in wearing gloves and making sure nothing gets cross-contaminated in regards of scoping the food into the bowl/burrito. The photo posted is Wednesday at 8:15. That's an hour and 45 minutes before closing. I can't imagine how it looks after 9:00. This store needs to do better. This is clearly not chipotle standard. Where do I start?! This place was a mess!!! We visited this establishment at 7:30 on a Sunday evening. We should have turned around when we walked in the door and saw every single table covered with food or garbage. Upon ordering, we noticed that they were out of several toppings, which can be overlooked. There were 5 employees behind the counter and food waste all around the payment counter; nobody was making any efforts to clean anything. Our portions were fair; however, the rice was so undercooked that we absolutely could not eat it - it was literally crunchy! My son's quesadilla had to be eaten with a fork because it was stuck to the foil; it looked like some squished, dead animal that you'd find in the woods! I would like to think that things are not always this poorly done here. However, consider that they were not understaffed - there were 5 employees bumping into each other behind the counter! During the 30 minutes of our stay in this establishment, there was never any sort of effort to clean the dining areas. This is easily the dirtiest food establishment I have ever eaten in! (and wish I hadn't) Perhaps management needs to do a better job at hiring and/or training the employees. Until that time, I would recommend, skipping this stop and driving somewhere else! read more

FILTHY. Tables covered in food - nothing cleaned in the hour we were there. Trash and debris around the drink station. Ice maker did not work. Drinks were not in the appropriate bins, so a regular coke was diet. Trash bins overflowing. Food was fine, but holy cow the prep area had not been wiped clear or clean in hours - food and debris everywhere. No adult in sight - just teens. I was not going to upset someone's 15-yr-old who would not be equipped to manage a complaint. Kids were nice and tried hard, just absolutely no management oversight. DISGUSTING is the best word to describe this place, it was a massive disaster! We headed into town late and my children wanted Chipotle, after walking in my husband, son and I decided to go to the resturant next door. The tables were dirty, the area where the tacos were built was a mess along with the beverage area and the trash was overflowing. The employees (approximately 6) were all behind the counter talking while one person cooked chicken and one assisted the customers. The girl helping us seemed new and she didn't understand why my daughter wanted the build your own tacos. She said she didn't know where the kits were until someone behind the counter handed her one. It was 8:30 PM, they were open for another hour and a half. The lady helping us told us they were not refilling the station and what was out, was all there was available. Upon checking out the person at the cash register asked my daughter if she wanted chips she said yes and then he said they didn't have any and gave her a tangerine that was not even fresh. My advice to the owner is to either retrain the staff or find new employees. With no one in the restaurant it should have been cleaned. read more

Chipotle needs to take this location back from whoever is running it. There are no fewer than 7 people working, and the place is disgusting. They don't open at the time listed online, they overcharge but under deliver, and the staff looks and acts absolutely miserable. This used to be the better Chipotle in the area but the past few times I have been the quality of food has been lacking & the service has been significantly slower. Tonight not only did they inform me that they were out of chicken but also white rice. I waited over 20 minutes for the rice just for them to say it would be another 30 minutes before it would actually be ready. To be completely honest it seems that this is poor management or just lazy employees since there were plenty of people working (just very slowly). This was a terrible experience! I wish there was a manager on so I could complain. 4 ppl behind the counter obviously not wanting to be working. We stood there quite awhile before anyone waited on us. Many of the containers of food were empty and dried up. They put cheese on my daughters food and hadn't asked and salsa on mine so the girl took the cheese off my daughters and put it on mine right in front of us instead of getting a fresh bowl. I don't even know where to begin. To start, I was told that they didn't have the new vegan chorizo, while standing under the sign that says "new vegan chorizo ". Not that they were out of it, just no. Okay sofritos then, could they spare it? Very skimpy on the portions, even when asking for extra. Skinniest burrito I've ever had from a Chipotle. Next, out of ice and a few sodas from the machine. Lastly the dining area was dirty with food all over the tables and floors. I went to get a wet napkin to wipe our table down before eating.
