The woman who checked me out, Anna, was beyond rude and ignored me when I asked for chips as a side. I asked twice, and walked out of the store without chips as she pretended not to hear me. I have been a regular customer at this Chipotle for years, and never have I been more furious and apoplectic with this location. One of the only reasons this location was truly worth visiting was Lilla. She was, without a doubt, the best worker there (no offense if you see this and work there, everyone else is great). She always greeted me with a genuine smile and was the best person I have ever come across in food service. Lilla was the absolute MVP. Lilla had put in her two weeks notice, and I wanted to come in specifically to see her for her last shift, to say goodbye and wish her luck, and give a gift, only to find out that Giovanni decided not to let her work it. Are you kidding me? Who does that? It speaks volumes about the management here. The feeling is completely off now. The line for food may not move slower, the portions may stay the same, but the energy will be far more miserable. You were already going to lose your best asset, but the way it was handled was shameful. I may return to Chipotle eager for my burrito bowl, but it will never be the same. The person behind the counter asked what I wanted and then grabbed the bag I had waiting, swung it around and put it on the counter and then continued to talk to her coworker. The worst location. Constantly gets the orders messed up when you place an online order. But the thing that irks me THE MOST is that they give you the smallest portions of meat/protein. Doesn't matter even if you order double, you are going to get just a spoonful of meat and a pound of rice. They are supposed to give you 4 oz of protein according to their guidelines and it is nowhere near that. I've reported this location to the BBB, and I hope more people do it. We're a local family and have had issues with this location the last three times. Today (Saturday) we ordered online, picked the order up, and of course came home to things missing! When you order a chicken fajita bowl, DO NOT FORGET THE CHICKEN. When you order a kids meal with juice, DO NOT FORGET THE JUICE. I went there with my husband Saturday lunch and it was delicious! We had the sofritas bow, the chicken burrito and guac with chips. Everything tasted fresh. I love Chipotle's seasoning! Great chipotle . Here is my experience ordering from them during covid -19- 5 stars. First of all the chipotle ap is the best. Really so easy to order and you specify exactly how you want your items prepared. They allow you to give a name to each meal which they then put clearly on the meal eliminating any confusion as to who ordered what once you get home. The toppings are always fresh and the portions are generous. They accommodate any diet and even give suggestions on the ap what to order depending on the diet one is on ( eg whole 30, keto, paleo). Once you order you are given a pick up time ( typically 20-30 min after you place the order if you want it immediately). They then bring it out. Super easy. Super safe. Very fresh and of course economical. Oh, I almost forgot they have best guacamole in the city too ( and i'v eaten at the top Mexican spots in this city and stand by this statement). read more

Every time I eat at Chipotle I get the same meal and eat half, save half. This was my first time at this location. I don't love how they bellow "WELCOME TO CHIPOTLE!!" at you when you walk in...it's sort of startling. I ordered my usual burrito but this time it was so salty i could barely eat it. I was going to let it go but an employee walked around asking how everything was. I told her (quietly) that the food was really unusually salty and she determined it was probably the rice. She walked over and tasted a sample of rice and agreed the salt issue was in the rice. She asked me to fill out a card with my info for a free meal on them. I filled it out and it was tossed into the general email/business card container. I never received an email for a free meal...it's been over a month. Further, the next day I reheated my other half of the burrito as usual and the rice was rock solid. That means the salt absorbed all of the moisture. **I went back another time to see if the rice was better.....it was a little better but again....the next day my burrito's rice was rock solid. I guess there is always one bad apple in the barrel, and it appears that this particular apple in the Chipotle global organization has gone rotten, judging from the other comments and my own experiences. I love Chipotle. I love its food, I love its local food sourcing mission. I've never had a problem with any other Chipotle branch before. They've always been good corporate neighbors. But this particular store (and the 7-Eleven, and Subway who occupy the same building) feel it's appropriate to maximize their parking in the dead of winter by shoveling tons of snow onto the public sidewalk. Last week it was impassable, requiring a pedestrian to literally climb over a mound of urine-and-motor-oil caked snow. Sure that doesn't sound like a big deal if you're passing through the neighborhood (In fact, if you're driving, they've rolled out the red carpet). But if you have to live here and walk the streets, it's infuriating. Chicago winters are bad enough with the slush and the ice. A lot of people don't shovel their walks. But I've never seen a business or a homeowner actually make the situation WORSE by creating new obstacles that mother nature didn't produce. I'm not saying you should avoid all Chipotles entirely. There's one a few blocks away on Belmont that does an admirable job of behaving like a good neighborhood citizen. The branch at 2809 N. Ashland's behavior is simply criminal. Apparently, the driver was from DoorDash, so this equally applies to them. Chipotle manager refused to resend my order and told me to send an email to Chipotle. I then ordered Italian... Now, Chipotle isn't exactly "paleo" (and I was kinda lax to begin with), but when you're out running errands and hunger strikes, it's probably one of the easiest and quick options out there. I've learned to order two sides of meat and leave happy. Sometimes I'll add a side of guacamole. It's cheap (two sides of meat and guac will run you the same if not less than a burrito bowl), it's filling and it usually leaves me with two meals. Do they not hear me the first two times I say I don't want sour cream? I came to this place after work, and the service was the same service I get at every Chipotle. I got the Burrito Bowl and it was amazing. The Cilantro and Lime rice is so heavenly. Squeeze some lime juice over your bowl, and watch how the spices and lemon juice create this fire cracker effect on your taste buds. If you have never had Chipotle...please stop by and you'll be pleasantly surprised. I'm a Chipotle Addict! I stopped into this location yesterday at about 11:45. I know they just opened at 11, but the food should have been warmer. I ordered my usual white rice, black beans, peppers and onions,steak, pico, hot sauce, cheese, guac, lettuce. The first bite of my bowl was cold!! I took a few more bites and and it was freezing cold. Im not one to complain, but I did go to the register and ask if they had a microwave bc my food was cold. They said no, which is fine. The part that upset me was the employee who stated its cold bc you have too many sauces. UMMM no this is how I order at everything single chipotle and my food is never freezing!!! He did offer to make me a new one, but that's just wasteful in my opinion. Besides there was a line of people in front of me and behind me. I still cannot believe I was the only one who said anything about cold food. The boy ordered a shredded beef burrito his was also cold, but he was just like meh whatever. I ended up taking my bowl back to the apartment, heating it up and eating it. But I need to get your attention on this problem: I arrive from the gym and order 3 burrito bowls to-go. Although nobody is behind me in line yet, I feel rushed and get dirtly looks from employees/manager when I want something additional. I agree that fast service is desirable, but not when you have to REPEAT your order several times and the employee completely disregards what you said and continues to wrap the foil on your item. Brandon, the manager, suggested I "order online" before arriving next time. Yes, Brandon, let me leave the gym, find a computer and submit my order online prior to my immediate arrival thereafter. Regardless, I felt devalued as a customer and more importantly, as a person. This type of interaction is not specific to this location, however this is the worst of it I've experienced. read more
