This is easily the smallest burrito I have ever gotten at a chipotle ever. My fist is almost bigger than it and I don't even have big hands. If the burritos were cheaper then I would understand but for $13 this is pathetic. Literally half the size of ones I get at the chipotle in nearby towns. I will not be going back to this chipotle here in Atascadero. I want half my money back for half the burrito they failed to give me. read more

I was really excited about this location opening. However, after the 2nd bad experience, I'm done and going to Paso or SLO. I went today and the two girls working the line seemed really inexperienced. It was busy and one girl just stood at the cashier waiting for the other girl to make everything. She finally came over to help but I had to ask her to change out her gloves as she was grabbing cheese and touching tortillas with the same gloves she had just used to cash out customers... gross! They were playing the regular music in the restaurant but then had some loud music playing in the kitchen. This place is a disaster and the staff need proper training asap. read more

I ordered a salad. When we got to the cheese section, the metal tub was empty. The employee walked to the back and did not come back with cheese. He said, we are out. Huh? Another employee then told me I could wait. I inquired as to the wait time for a very basic and required ingredient. I was told it would be 30 minutes!!!!!!! I watched Chipotle go in at this location, interesting choice... Personally I don't understand why Chipotle is so popular. Their stock price per share today is $2598.00. I dropped some folks off at a newer restaurant in town thought I'd get a burrito and so I wound up here. Barbaroca beef, extra please, yes I understand I'll need to pay extra (no mention of how much extra costs these days). Avocado looked tired but I added that too (extra $ of course). Oh chips and salsa sure the chips are $2. and 2ounces of salsa is 50 cents. The chips were days old stale, apparently all the bag of chips had stale chips. Of course my $2.50 was not refunded and there was no action to check and or remove the stale product from the shelf. I looked for a sugar free drink which I didn't see I did see the Pellegrino water, two please. I sat at the stools & hightop. Oh wait their is no ring at the stool post base to rest my feet. I moved to a regular seat in the corner. A rainy Sunday evening so not much traffic through here, not busy like I've seen at other locations...and just as well. Unfortunately the Chipotle Restaurant in Atascadero is horrible. They did not have any fresh vegetables out and the Carne Asade was chopped up in big pieces. The chips tasted stale and you could not taste any of the lime on them either. My boyfriend and I only ate half our meals before we started feeling sick to pur stomachs. The most shocking was the price. We paid $58.16 just for 2 bowls with extra meat. The. Music was horrible and it was up so loud we could barely carry on a conversation. We will never be back. I recommend San Luis Obispo. They give you way bigger portions for your money, the chips are amazing and the atmosphere is way more comfortable read more

Food was fine. Customer service was awful. The cashier working on 9/27 was really sweet. However, the girl with the bun on the top of her head was rude AF. Looking at her coworker nasty who was struggling to keep up during a rush, being so rude bc I asked her to repeat herself and was just clearly not having a good day. We were So excited to have a Chipotle come to Atascadero! This time, We came in at 5 pm on a Friday night and were excited to eat!!! Once again, we were completely disheartened at the appearance of the food area. There was spilled food all over the counter outside of the food serving bins behind the counter. Most of the containers barely had much food in them and what was there looked pretty old. My friend decided not to order but I was starving. It was a bummer to see things look that way. Not very appetizing. The girl did give me some fresh green pepper mix from the back when I asked her for it. My bowl ended up tasting fine, though. Unfortunately, this is about the 5th time we have come here and each time it has looked like this and had older food out. Sadly, It is doubtful that we will come again. read more

While service is very good, the price to eat here is no longer worth the food. Sorry: $17.67 for a rice bowl is OUTRAGEOUS! You can go to a restaurant, be served, get a drink even an pay the same. What's worse though is #1 Chipotle does not have standard pricing AND this specific location did not post prices, AND they happen to be as much as 90-cents higher than locations in SLO, Paso, and Arroyo Grande. So you can imagine standing in line, having the expectation of a similar cost experience, then getting to the register and seeing a bill of $17.67 for one item. Other unfortunate issues: this location is extremely small, and there's really no place to sit. As you traverse down the food line no one tells you there are "some" items that are part of the meal and some that come at an extra charge - AND that extra charge is a full-on scam!!! So sour cream and shredded cheese is part of the bowl price, but a spoon of guacamole is whipping $2.90 up charge, and a spoon of queso Blanco is a whopping $1.70 up charge!! BOOO ON CHIPOTLE! Since 2022 Chipotle has raised their prices FOUR TIMES! And now they're blaming that on the minimum wage increase in California? I don't think so... Every other restaurant is maintaining its cost structure just fine, so clearly we have bad decision making and sketchy business practices at work here. Now you've been warned. I absolutely love Chipotle, but this is the worst Chipotle location that I have been to routinely. I keep giving it chances, maybe because I live in town, but I am officially done going here. They have forgotten my chips four times during pickup/delivery orders. Their burritos are always terrible and have very little meat. Today, my burrito was ICE cold and made up of 50% sauce. It was like soup and so disgusting it was inedible. It was supposed to be a barbacoa burrito but I found maybe one piece of meat. The rest was beans, rice and cheese. The staff is made up of mostly clueless teenagers who appear to give zero f**** about their job. Chips are always stale. You should go literally anywhere else. read more
