I definitely enjoyed what I got from Chip City during my visit. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try the cookies fresh out the oven, but once I got home and threw them in the microwave for 30 seconds, they came out great! They're gooey and delicious and i definitely think grabbing warm cookies and a hot cocoa on a cold winters day/evening is a great experience. The place is small and easy to miss but if you have the fortune of passing by and noticing this spot, the service is quick and friendly and it's a hotspot at night in midtown Hoboken. read more

I've been back a few times for the specialty cookies! I love that they always try to offer something different. Shop is pretty small with barely any tables - def a grab and go spot! I've tried the lucky charms cookie, rainbow cookie, cookies n crème cookie and the most recent, a banana crème pie! Each are unique and pretty good! Some taste fresher than others depending how long they are sitting out. I will say they are a bit pricey, IMO. The cannoli cookie was pretty good when I was drunk last night. Now that I'm sober, it's just ok. The chocolate chip and cookie butter with Bischoff is also just ok. Came here because I had a random sweet tooth. One thing I do love is a good cookie and Chip City is the a good place to get one. The place is small and minimal seating so it's designed to get your cookie and go. While they had quite a few flavors, I had my heart set on the Chocolate Chip cookie. This cookie was warm, thick, and gooey just like a cookie should be. I didn't think it was going to be as big as it. You can definitely share the cookie unless you're a big sweets eater. The cookie was thick with a good amount of chocolate chips and a moist center. Definitely a better quality cookie than Insomnia. This Chip City just opened yesterday, but I'm so happy they did. My friend has been raving about these cookies to me for months now and I'm never in Newark during the week to try them. Staff were super nice and very efficient. I had three cookies, which they have a nice box for so you don't squish your cookies. Their opening cookie was the Lemon Poppy Seed, which was great. It had lemon curd in the center, which was nice and tart. I also had the Oatmeal Apple Pie, which had an apple pie center, and a classic Chocolate Chip. (NOTE: Insomnia cookie is also great, just more basic late night vibe in comparison) I love that chip city is constantly rotating flavors (that's what keeps me coming back), the cookies are the perfect size. Was walking around Washington street and passed by this little cookie shop . Let me start by saying I'm NOT a cookie / cake person , however the smell was so great and the image of a Nutella cookie advertising outside made me want to go in and look . The staff was immediately helpful and so pleasant , they explained they have 50 different cookie flavors , but they didn't have the Nutella one because they change flavors every week . I ended up getting a chocolate chip cookie for my boyfriend . The cookie was nice and warm I must say it was delicious ... Chip City is a welcome addition in Hoboken where there aren't many cookie/dessert spots. The store is straightforward with a small storefront and a case full of cookies. They do buy 5 cookies get 1 free so I went with that and another box of 3. 9 cookies for $35. Damn. The chocolate chip cookie wasn't the best one which is unusual when you go to a cookie place. The blueberry cheesecake and chocolate with white chocolate pieces were better. The nutella sea salt was just ok. Once they cool down these need to be reheated or they don't taste as good. The instructions are on the box so it makes it easy. Not dying to come back but solid 3.5 star cookie shop. Will bump it to 4 though. read more

came here later in the evening and there were still tons of options. the ordering experience was pretty standard, the server was nice and quick. the cookies and cream cookie felt really chaotic to me and i didn't like how all those classic cookies and cream flavors mixed with the rest of the cookie. the chocolate chip was good. i've definitely had better and i'd probably skip on it next time. the cookie butter though is my favorite. this one earned the 4 stars as it was my favorite cookie. the cookie was not to sweet and it really allowed the cookie butter filling to shine. it was great. i'd definitely come back to try new flavors and get that one again read more

I'm so happy the Hoboken location finally opened! It was a really long wait time for the shop to open following the announcement it was coming to Hoboken. While selfishly I find it frustrating that many of these chain, fast food shops are opening up downtown (and rarely Uptown) luckily they deliver! I was eager to try the new hot honey cookie flavor so I ordered one of those, along with a cookies and cream and chocolate chip. The cookies were delivered super-fast and were still warm. I love their packaging which conveniently includes the reheating/serving instructions. Chip City's cookies are best served warm so they are nice and gooey. Unlike Insomnia, Chip City cookies are very thick, similar to Levain although much better IMHO. The Cornbread cookie was great - it tastes just like a piece of cornbread and was awesome with the butter and hot honey on top. I like that their weekly menu changes all the time! These are great to bring to parties or send as a gift. Another welcome addition to town! read more

I had been counting down the days until Chip City was going to open in Hoboken, so I made it a point to try it during its first few weeks. I was not sure what to expect upon my arrival, besides the unusual flavors I knew that they were known for. The small shop had one tiny table in the front and was basically just counter service otherwise. There were traditional and eclectic cookie varieties, but the substantial size of the round treats was also impressive. I knew that I could never finish one of the products on my own (ok, maybe I could, but I really should not...), so I had to be mindful of my selections so that I would be able to share them. Because of that fact, I would up opting for the more basic flavors of Chocolate Chip and S'mores. The chip one had a brown sugar base and was certainly sweet and buttery. I thought it also could have benefitted from either more or larger dark chocolate chips, however. The S'mores version started with a graham cracker cookie, which was heavy on the cinnamon flavor. Sugary, mini-marshmallows had been placed in the center, while chocolate chips were spread throughout the dough. Both varieties were delicious and better than many cookie chains in the area (Insomnia and Cookie Connect), but I have to say I still prefer local Bang Cookies overall. read more

I went just before closing and they were out of regular chocolate chip so I got the dairy free but I couldn't tell they were dairy free.
