Cute, little & only homemade Icecream place in Hoboken. Offers a lot of flavors and they encourage you to taste some before buying! Very friendly staff. My personal favorite is coffee Oreo and my pup enjoys the soft vanilla. The portions are huge so I always stick to a kiddie scoop which is almost close to a big single scoop.

Walked a good amount to check out a local ice cream shop and was disappointed. The prices weren't bad but the icecream was meh and the service was bad. The two boys were just talking smack in Spanish. Si yo hablo español even though I'm white and my fiancé who was with me is Puerto Rican. Definitely not worth the walk from the train station. Before this I checked out Il laboratorio del gelato and although was more expensive, it was closer and tasted way better.

It was a hot day and my bf was getting hungry so we were looking for a cafe. However, with nothing open and everything closing early, we decided to get our caffeine fix with the best combo - ice cream and caffeine in one! Friendly staff, reasonably priced and most importantly, tastes amazing! You get the perfect blend of sugar from the oreos and slight bitterness from the coffee. I don't think we lasted more than 5 minutes before we devoured this between the two of us. Cheat day well done!

I finally visited the ice cream café on the 4th of July in the afternoon. The shop was empty so we were each able to try a couple of flavors before placing our order. The café has some indoor seating as well as a few small tables & chairs outside. It does feel a bit messy & dated inside and could probably benefit from some interior renovations/decorating. As far as the flavors go, the shop has a lot of unique flavors and they all are homemade. I got a regular cup (two scoops) with Nutella Oreo & Chips Ahoy. We also sampled the birthday cake which was really good. If I lived closer by, I'd probably frequent here more. Hoboken doesn't really have that many ice cream shops and I'd prefer this over Ben & Jerrys.

Delicious - cookies and cream/cookie dough and peanut butter vanilla/cookies and cream both with chocolate chips on top!

So good! I stopped by a few weeks ago with a friend and have been meaning to try this spot! Everything is homemade and it tasted very fresh. I loved the selection of flavors and how nice the staff was. We each got 2 scoops (huge) with chocolate chips on top. Cookie and cream was delicious! Pricing is reasonable as well I believe it was 6/7$ for each? Can't remember exactly but I'll absolutely continue to support this local spot!

Cute little cafe on the street. Very friendly staff and service. This was our first time here so we tried a couple of flavors before picking this. Lots of options to pick from, and finally caved it for the chocolate options.

Not only…read moreare the desserts incredible, but the employees were so friendly and pleasant to deal with as well. The star of the show is, of course, the Merveilleux. It's made with light, airy meringue and whipped cream, then covered in chocolate shavings. It somehow manages to be rich and delicate at the same time. I can see why it's their signature dessert. They offer different flavors and sizes too, from mini versions to larger cakes that are perfect for sharing. One of the coolest parts of visiting is that the kitchen is completely open. You can watch the pastry chefs assembling these beautiful creations right in front of you. It's mesmerizing and makes the whole experience feel special. The bakery has roots in Northern France and Belgium, where the Merveilleux originated, but pastry chef Frédéric Vaucamps reinvented the classic recipe to make it lighter and more modern. Whatever he did worked because these pastries are unforgettable. A quick tip: cash only, so come prepared. Honestly, if you're anywhere nearby, I think you need to run there. Between the amazing desserts, the friendly staff, and the chance to watch everything being made fresh, it's one of the most enjoyable bakery experiences I've had in a long time. I know you won't be sorry!

Aux Merveilleux de Fred is a tiny, beautifully fragrant shop on 8th Ave. I ordered the cold brew black and it was one of the smoothest, most satisfying first cups of the day I've had in a long time. Finding genuinely good black cold brew in this city is harder than it should be, and this one hit the spot so perfectly I made a second solo trip before sundown. The chocolate and almond croissant was delicate, flaky, and exactly what a croissant should be. The shop itself is small, no indoor seating, but two benches out front! The staff was warm and the whole place smells incredible the moment you walk in. I've already earmarked the Cramique for my next visit, because if it's anywhere near as good as everything else, I'm in trouble. Do yourself a favor and stop in!

Note: Order boxes of these delicious buns & cakes for Office events, House parties, Bridal Showers, Birthdays , Home on weekends drinking tea or coffee etc. I ordered (4) buns. Two Cardamoms very moist & tasty with a hint of bergamot. I may be wrong but the taste is very exotic w/ out loads of sugar like most bakeries. I'm diabetic so that's important to me. The other (2) were the Brown sugar & Walnut, again very tasty & the cinnamon bun. All yummy but we all have our preferences. So, if you haven't been yet you need to patronage this spot you won't regret it. Plus, constant patrons coming & waiting on line to place orders. Awesome! says a lot. I'm never impressed with the size of a place, but the influx of foot traffic & cleanliness. Friendly staff! I've visited Malmo, Sweden & it's nice to know when I have guest visiting I can buy good pastries from here to impress w/ out the sugar rush. I recommend this spot, it's trendy.

The staff is all very nice and the food comes out quickly. portion sizes are decent for lunch items and things like french toast are above average. I liked that they used real tableware that had some weight to it as opposed to plastic, we accidentally knocked over a glass as we were leaving and it hit the ground but didn't break so that was a big relief but it makes the dining experience feel like more thought was put into it when even the table ware is of good quality.
