I brought my car in after someone crashed into me while driving and left some pretty bad scratches. Ricky at Chinto Auto Detailing in Northridge was able to remove the scratch marks and detail the damaged area perfectly. He used some pink fluid that worked like absolute magic -- the scratches basically disappeared!I'm so happy with the results. The car looks great again. I'll definitely be coming back for a full detail. Highly recommend Ricky and the team! read more

I took my 2012 Acura in for a detail awhile back -- it's the second time I've been to Chinto's -- and both times Avi(?) and his team did a great job on both the interior and exterior, including getting rid of some nicks and scratches on the latter. A top flight job, car looked like new. Sorry for waiting so long to post this review! Andrew E read more

I've been coming to Chinto's for ~~20 years before Chinto retired and sold the business to the new owner. The first couple of times after Chinto sold, the work was still very good, because Chinto would drop buy to make sure the new owner was doing it right. Well soon after, owner 2 got a dealer account and his work was awful. It was no longer a detail shop, it became, I'll do as little as I can to get by. With Chinto, I never had to check the work, it was just done, and done exceptionaly well. Owner 2 would be equal to an average car wash. Don't waste your time or money! Owner 2 will be gone soon, IMO. read more

Found this place based on Yelp reviews and decided to give it a try. I usually use "Burbank Auto Detail" but unfortunately it's a little farther from me at this point. I noticed this detail shop is busy so their turnover is high. I have an older 1992 Lexus which needed exterior work. I was advised that some wetsanding was needed, which is fine and expected. When you pick up a car from detailing 9/10 all aspects of it are covered, hence the word "detail". I was happy with the turnaround time, but some details were missed. There was left over hazing from the wax/compound applied, also dripped on to the wheels. The compound they used via machine got all over the inside of my engine bay, no tire shine (very minor on my end), headlights still hazy, usually you want to leave the customer surprised by doing these little things or maybe tell in detail what is included and not. Usual detail is $150, I paid $200 due to wetsanding. I paid $150 at Burbank Auto Detail 5 years ago and it was flawless. Pros- quick turnaround Cons- no attention to detail. read more

I spilled paint on the back seat of my truck. I did everything I could, which did not help much at all. Luckily my wife did some calling around while I was trying to clean it. She found a place that was willing to take me right away! It was late in the day around 17:30. We took the truck there right away and they got the paint out! Since I was there, I set an appointment, if I am going to pay money out anyway might as well do the whole detail. Next morning brought my filthy (had not cleaned it in months) truck to his shop at 07:45 and was called to pick it up at 16:30. There Full Detail is full indeed! Inside. Outside. Engine! I got my truck back basically brand new! If 100% is zero particles of dirt then it was 99%. The photos do not show how dirty it was, but the paint is real. ha! I am so happy they got it out and my truck looks great! I gave it a photo shoot when I got home. :) The price of the detail seemed great compared with other detailing companies! Most places start at $150 just to do the exterior. read more

This guys know what they are doing best color sand job I have seen great interior detail

These guys are legit! Excellent work on my Audi Q3. Took off the swirls I pointed out to them. The interior looked good as new. The tire dressing/cleaning makes the tires look brand new too! Not greasy or slick. Will definitely come back to get my other cars done! read more

Cannot recommend Chinto Auto Detailing enough! I recently adopted a dog and he almost immediately pooped in the backseat of my car and it got everywhere. I would post a before pic, but no one wants to see that. It was horrific. I requested quotes from multiple auto detailers, and they either replied that they did not have that service or it would be $175+. Chinto Auto Detailing was able to see me immediately to assess the situation and quoted me a great price to fix the backseat. Got the backseat back looking brand new and they vacuumed my car to rid of any smell. I was stressed out trying to find a place that would be able to fix it with a reasonable price, let alone on the same day, but CAD really stepped up and made me feel comfortable in my car again. Professional, easy, and very happy with the result. read more

A friend of mine recommended this detail shop. It's a bit out of the way for me but I'm glad I made the trip. We go camping a lot, specifically beach camping and I have a Chrysler 300 so not only do I use the trunk space but back seats as well. Not to mention I have two dogs that tag along so you can imagine how bad my car gets. Sand and paw prints pretty much everywhere. They got it all. Very happy with my car. Going camping again in a few weeks so you can bet I'll be returning again. Prices are very fair for the service you get. read more

They did a great job and even tried to fix a dent I had on the outside. Looked and felt like brand new! They even cleaned up all the shit I had in there and put it in a bag. Normally $150 but they said $200 since my car was really dirty. Im talking weird dried up sticky stuff in the cup holders and stains on the floor. All of it like brand new. Very impressed would definitely come back here and recommend. The guys were super nice too read more

Called this place today. Asked over the phone how much it costs to quickly vacuum the interior of my car. The man over phone wouldn't give me a quote, asked me to come in. I drove over there for 10 min, only to have him laugh in my face, and tell me to go away when I told him I'm looking to spend $20. I asked him, why couldn't you tell me that over the phone. He couldn't give me a descent explanation. I feel like 30 min of time and some gas has been aimlessly wasted. read more

Took my 15 year old car there which was very dull and needed paint. Had him wet sand and fully detail the outside and when I went to pick up the car it had looked as if it was just painted!!! I couldn't believe the job he had done, well I could because he offered to give me a sample before I had even decided to go with him. I told him it was either him or paint and he didn't tell me to go with him, and didn't tell me to get it painted. Whatever I wanted, "but here is what I can do", he said. Well 5 mins later the small spot he tried out made me a believer. Took my car to an annual car show and took first place for my class. First place and I had the worst paint haha, well not after Chinto got down. The thing here is you do have to make an appointment (no biggie) and you do have to drop the car off, but IMO it's worth it. read more

I brought my 1963 Falcon here to get paint removed from it. Some idiot didn't ask me to move my car when it was parked alongside a black fence he was painting, and got paint specs all over it.. Needless to say I was pissed! Anyway, Chinto & his crew did an Amazing job! They were able to remove all the paint and they buffed and waxed my whole car. It shines like it never did before! I will definitely bring my car here in the future. :) read more

I drive a lot around town with kids in my car. With that being said, my kids are always eating snacks, trailing sand, grass, and dirt onto the floors of my SUV. I have gone to Chinto's Auto Detailing on several occasions to help my vehicle become something I am proud to drive. Chinto's Auto Detailing does a thorough job, and the prices are within my budget. Chinto Auto Detailing - Business card - Auto Detailing Near Me - Northridge, California

I screwed up the painted finish on my Harley front fairing. I washed it with the wrong brush, and put fine scratches on the surface. I tried to buff it out myself, but I was getting a cloudy look afterward. I had removed the fairing from the bike, and brought it in to Chinto. He worked his magic with multiple buffing pads and compounds, then followed up with wax. It looks great! I was a little concerned that I ruined the clear coat, but that was not the case. Chinto has been in business for 30 years. If you are looking for a good job by someone with lots of experience, this is the place to go! read more

Wow this place was great! Made my 07' look brand new! They cleaned places in my car that I didn't know could be cleaned. Also, they are trustworthy. I apparently lost at 20 dollar bill and they found it and put it in the side compartment. Defenetly recommend this place. read more

Great detail shop to work with, very polite and respectful staff. Chinto cares about his customers

Chinto has been detailing my Volvos for years before car shows where the judging is "people's choice" and in each case I have won trophies. This year I took him a 2011 Volvo C70 and he and Martin knocked themselves out to prepare the car for the Volvo Car Show in Davis, CA, the largest in the country. In a very competitive class of models, my car again took a first-in-class trophy and I got many "wow" compliments particularly for the appearance under the hood where it looked showroom fresh. Chinto even did the inside surfaces of the car's rims, a place no one else touches. I may have a touch of OCD, detailing my cars myself throughout the year but when it comes down to the details of detailing these guys are the masters. read more

I've been taking me cars and boats here for over 20 years! They are the only detail shop that does it right! They are also cheap! Normal detail that is a real detail costs $250 - $500 and these guys are $150 - $200 and their work is better! Those bad reviews are from people who know nothing on what there talking about! read more

The best auto detail I have ever had on my Infiniti G35. Chinto's fixed over $500 worth of body damage for free, I wouldn't and didn't expect them to do that, but they did and I commend them for it. My engine is very clean now and the surface of my paint is revitalized. You can't beat this place. 5 stars review from an overly critical skeptic. read more

Brought our car in the get the interior & exterior detailed. They got most of the stains out and most of the water spots. Downsides for me was that the payment methods were not stated to us or by any signs in the shop. Wanted to pay by credit card. had to run around trying to find an ATM but bank was also closed . Luckily they said I can write them a check . Also some water stains were forgotten and we waited for them to clean it off. Cost us $150. read more

A little disappointed that I was not told what the payment methods were. They wanted me to go to the bank to pay them in cash. But as it was late Saturday the banks were closed. It was very inconvenient. Had to ask my friend write a check for me. The overall service done on the car was good but not superb. read more

Unless your spending hundreds at this place and have a classic car or new very expensive/ exotic car...don't bother...you will spend at least $150-$200 for a detail and get treated like your a schmuck and your car won't be any cleaner than if you paid for a full detail at your corner car wash. My car still had spots and even the rims weren't cleaned completely. The interior was no better than if I did it myself. Unless your getting a high-end car done...your not gonna get a high-end detail....even though that's what your paying for. read more

They did a good job with the exterior of the car because I had hard water stains that wouldn't come off with a normal car wash. The interior was definitely cleaner than before, but the cracks inside the car were still dirty and I had to tell him to clean it and put armor all in the interior. When paying $150 for a FULL detail, these are things that should be done without the customer having to tell them. Some of the stains on my seats were not completely scrubbed off as well. My husband went somewhere else that charged much less and did a better job. I don't think their work is worth $150. read more

I recently scratched my jetta very badly, all along the passenger side. I took it to chintos, and they not only buffed out ALL THE SCRATCHES, but they also touched up the few paint areas that were chipped. The car looks spotless again, and I'm so happy. The price was very reasonable and now I don't have to take it to a body shop!! Couldn't be more happy!!! read more

Wow... what an awesome job Chinto did on my Jetta! I left a can of Dr. Pepper in my car and the heat caused it to explode! The whole inside of the car was covered in a dark sticky mess. Looks like a brand new car! Thank you Chinto! You have a customer for life! read more

Upon a recommendation from my mechanic, I took my 1959 Nash Metropolitan to Chinto for detailing. My car now looks like it is fresh off the showroom floor. He did an outstanding job. My car is a 97 Volvo with almost 200K miles. The paint is in excellent shape but the engine compartment wasn't exactly car show quality and I'd wanted to show the car at some Volvo events. Chinto told me it would be no problem, he did engines all the time and they almost never got fouled up from the steam cleaning and chemicals. He gave me a surprisingly low quote for doing an exterior detail and engine compartment. The car was ready on time for the price quoted and was a shocking improvement. The body looked new and the engine looked the way they do on the good used car lots - ready to show proudly and no problem at all from the moisture. This was one of the best experiences I've had regarding the many cars I've owned and I will always use Chinto as long as I can still drive. read more
