It's a good value for what you get, but I think the chicken is a little lacking. For a mini meal ($18.99 I think), you get one chicken, rice (yum!), beans, potato salad (yum!), salsa, and tortillas. It's supposed to feed 2-3 people, but it fed my family of 4 with plenty of leftovers. I think chicken quality is subpar - it's a little mushy and the skin isn't as crispy as I'd like/hope. With that said, you can feed a family of four for under $20 with leftovers, so you're paying for quantity over quality. The highlights were definitely the rice, potato salad, and salad. The potato salad was insanely good. It's a juxtaposition here - subpar chicken with tasty sides. For what it's worth, it's good here. No problems with customer service. In fact, the girl threw in extra tortillas for good measure. Pro tips: order a larger potato salad and a larger hot salsa - will definitely go a long way. read more

I struggled with the decision on weather or not to write a review for my experience here. If it was just about the service, they would get very high marks, but it's not like a destination sit down type of restaurant, so it has to be all about the food. Why was the rice, like just white rice, the beans tasted like they were just boiled in plain water, the chicken had no obvious Mexican spices or flavor. I just didn't get it. We ordered 2 fried burritos, 2 tostada salads, and 1 order of taquitos. I must say they do give a lot of chicken in all their dishes, but everything we ordered was riddled with chips of bone. This place is a hidden gem located on the outskirts of Chino. For everyone who loves juicy chicken that is cooked on a rotisserie this place is the place to be. One of my good friends ate here and recommended their chicken. The owner works hard in the kitchen and you can see everything being prepared. He'll converse with you and explain to you what he would recommend. We ordered the menudo, rotisserie chicken and taquitos. Every dish was prepared to perfection. The menudo was perfectly seasoned with lots of meats, a touch of onions and cilantro just added another addition of flavor. The chicken was super juicy with the skin being super crunchy. After watching a popular IG foodie post their food about Chino Pollo, it made me literally drive all the way to Chino to get some delicious juicy roasted chicken and Menudo along with taquitos for lunch over the weekend. Not only did it look good but the taste was solid 5 stars! So happy to have found this place that makes one of the best roasted chicken. I never eat the skin but the spice they used along with the crispy texture made me devour 1/2 chicken all by myself! You can't share this deliciousness! Get your own chicken! I felt very sick since I ate here I got the two piece with rice and potato salad plus a drink. It kinda tasted like the chicken wasn't washed prior to cooking and the skin had a sticky texture so I left it to the side. The white meat also had a weird texture but I did eat it. If I would have known I was going to feel so sick after eating there I wouldn't have ate there. The potatoes & beans are on point. 1 spicy salsa & 1 mild salsa came with the meal. Asking for extra salsa you would be charge more. I wish the skin was a bit more crispy. Sign of the times get less & you pay more. We ordered a mini meal which is 1 chicken with 3 medium sides. We upgraded the sides to a large which is an additional $3.50 each side. The medium size sides would not be enough for my family of 5 hence the large sizes are needed. So what was a $23.99 family meal became a $34.49 family real quick then with taxes came to $37.51! Sales tax in Chino is 8.75% definitely less than in some places. read more

Upon entering the smell is just sickening. It smells of old rags; which should have already been a bad sign. My family and I were at first a little incredulous that the former Juan Pollo that had occupied this location for many yrs had been rechristened "Chino Pollo." We ordered the "Tuesday/Wednesday Special" (2 whole chickens plus tortillas & salsa) plus a large side of potato salad. The chicken is buttery moist, drenched with the secret herbs & spices they use to marinate the meat overnight prior to slow roasting them for 3 hrs. The potato salad is (hard boiled) egg-forward, satisfying til the last spoonful but could benefit from a wee bit more mayonnaise. Service was prompt and courteous. Over all we will be returning to Chino Pollo. You'll smile at the good "cluck" you've enjoyed. read more

I love chicken flautas, but wasn't a big fan of theirs. I probably wouldn't order it again. The flautas at the Zendejas take-out on Riverside Dr. are way better! They're my favorite. As far as their rotisserie chicken goes, still the same recipe as Juan Pollo's. Very tasy (that crispy skin tho!), just very inconsistent. I usually order the lunch special or half chicken (white meat) and sometimes my breast is dry. White or dark meat, the chicken should always be moist! This was the same issue I had with them before when they were "Juan Pollo". They still have their Tuesday and Wednesday two whole chicken special, but its now $15.99.
