Dining area with beef ho fun

Food was delicious. We had the Egg fu young and beef ho fun. Place deserves to be more busy for a Friday afternoon but on the bright side our service was awesome. The outside looks nothing like the inside, on the inside is a super nice quaint Chinese restaurant that is super clean and well decorated. 100% would come again when I'm back in Connecticut.

This place is very good. I've tried the egg rolls, crab Rangoon, boneless spare ribs, and house wonton soup. All were great but the house wonton was EXCEPTIONAL. Loaded with beef, chicken, pork, wontons, and Chinese vegetables. This soup will keep me coming back.

The food here is pretty good. The owners are Chinese & so there's a nice selection of authentic Chinese dishes to choose from. There's also plenty of American Chinese dishes to choose from. The Chinese dishes are $4-$5+ more expensive than the American dishes which was surprising. I ordered a small wonton soup which was good. The broth wasn't overly complex but it was still fine. The wontons were large & plentiful. There were 4 in my small soup. They included fresh Chinese cabbage in the soup & a few pieces of bbq pork. I also ordered the Chicken Chow Fun. The portion was generous & it was solidly good. I luv the roasted flavor in chow fun. The young waitress was polite. The service & kitchen were both fast. I did notice that the Pepper Steak was prepared with green bell peppers instead of hot long horn peppers which was disappointing. The interior is pretty standard for a sit down Chinese restaurant. They have predominantly Pleather banquet seating for 4. They have a lot of 2 tops to accommodate different sized parties. They also had a large round table with a lazy Susan which you always see at authentic Chinese restaurants. There was a variety of Chinese memorabilia decorating the walls. There was also a small bar on the left when you first walk in. They serve bee, wine & cocktails. There was no music playing. The restaurant was clean. I did not use the restrooms so I can't vouch for them. It was an overall perfectly pleasant experience. I need to return to try some of the other Chinese dishes to really get a sense of this place. There were 2 older Chinese women dining here which is always a good sign. ENJOY!

Little snack they give you when you sit down

We came in 8:20pm thinking they closed by 10pm based on google. It turned out they close at 9pm but…read morethey are so nice they still let us order and dine in. We got to chat with the owner Ping very nice gentleman originally from Hong Kong. He came to check on us to make sure everything is good that we like the food. Because it's late there's only one chef in the kitchen, the food still come out fast and excellent quality. Very good service, our server is very busy cleaning up the restaurant while still refill our water and tea and comes over to clean our table. Very polite people here. This is the best Cantonese dinner restaurants in East Coast, forget about going to flushing ny or Brooklyn if you want authentic good Cantonese food, get the real one here. Reminds me of Hong Kong Chow fun is fresh homemade, i've never had better one!! We ordered beef chow fun. Beef with bitter melon so flavorful tender beef. Steam fish fillets so yummy why something so simple so good!! 京都骨 pork chop very light batter sauce not over sweet like those in flushing/Brooklyn, no red coloring added. To die for!! I can't wait to try dim sum here.

While staying at Mohegan Sun, hubby & I took a quick jaunt (less than 5 minutes!) to Golden Palace…read morefor another delicious meal! Let's start with the complimentary fried wontons... I could literally eat my body weight in these! Pro tip: dip them in the spicy Chinese mustard & then into the duck sauce - sweet, heat, crunch... perfection! Just be warned, it is very easy to fill up on these before your meal even arrives! From the dim sum menu, we ordered the deep fried taro dumplings, steamed shrimp dumplings & our favorite, stir-fried Chinese broccoli with garlic. I wish we had more people so we could order more dim sum items to share! From the regular menu, hubby ordered the lunch combo #14: jumbo shrimp with vegetables, golden fingers, fried rice & egg roll. He loved it & said he would definitely order it again. Golden Palace is an easy add-on if you are at Mohegan Sun! Bonus: dim sum is available daily, which is always a win in my book.
