    "Churros"

Giving two stars because the California Burrito was mediocre. But the churros might have been the worst food I've ever paid for. They're literally flavorless hard breadsticks with some cinnamon sugar in the center. Outside is hard as a rock. Not coated in anything. Very disappointing. Can't believe they consciously sell these to people. And the girl working seemed miserable.

Chinchilla's Eats On The Streets came to my neighborhood last week. We have not had as many food trucks lately so I was excited to try them out for the first time. I ordered the loaded nachos with shredded chicken. WOE, I was impressed! The toppings were yummy. I was happy to see jalapenos, cheese sauce, tomatoes and lettuce. And the chicken was tender and flavorful just how I like it. Chicken is usually my last choice, but when it is shredded I have to try it. I also had an order of churros. Actually, I ordered one, but they gave me two, thank you:) The churros were warm, light and crispy. The staff were nice and helpful as I always want to know the top sellers when I try a new food truck. I would suggest Chinchilla's Eats On The streets to anyone looking for good food with flair!

Did not impress me at all. I'm very picky about food I get off food trucks. The fact that I was an idea to sober up with the beer at Hyperion. I ordered the bbq pork soft tacos, I actually don't eat pork at all but I couldn't see the menu because the driver placed it inside the truck while he was ready to close up. The so called nachos on the side were round and something you'd get at the dollar movies. Sad side salad only fulfilled a few bites to accomodate how spicy the bbq was. I only ate a few bites but began to get frustrated that it didn't taste like I thought I would. $10.70 I think for a plate. We should've ordered a pizza across the street like another Yelper said. A pizza or hot dog truck would be nice to go with the beer. Parking in side.

Looks like they've scaled down the menu since last time.

Food was decent, but pretty expensive for what you get. They only had quesadillas this time, but I do like quesadillas so gave them another try. Cheeseburger quesadilla was pretty good but I was surprised that there was no ketchup or mustard. I was excited for the buffalo chicken quesadilla because I thought it was going to be like breaded buffalo chicken wings, but it ended up being the shredded chicken with buffalo sauce. Would have been nice to get blue cheese or at least sour cream with that. Fries had a decent seasoning, but kinda soggy in texture. Didn't seem to have ketchup available for the fries either. I think I liked the bbq pork better last time. Food was delivered quickly and staff seemed friendly.

These folks stopped by my client's office and I thought I'd give it a try - and I wasn't disappointed! Got great deal of food (two huge pork tacos, salad, chips and queso) for a really nice price. Pork was flavorful, had a very nice crust on it and there was lots of it for each taco! I'll look forward to your truck coming back again!

My mom invited me to go to a grand opening of a new Florida Eye Specialists location on the Northside and promised that there would be food there. I had nothing else better to do and I just got my hair done so adventure time! We drove up Main Street near River City Marketplace to the party spot and we got there pretty early as there wasn't a lot of people there, nor was there a lot of things to do. But as we were waiting in the A/C'd building Chinchilla's pulled up and set up shop. A hadn't had food from a food truck in awhile so I was glad they were there. Was I gonna be good and stay on my diet? When you throw in the fact that the food would be comped by FES, that's a resounding NOPE. Go hard or go home. With that in mind I went for the cheeseburger quesadilla because that sounded like the most amazing thing to me. I ordered and when it came out it wasn't what I expected. I was expecting a typical half-circle tortilla as the bread for the cheeseburger but instead, I got a quesadilla "bomb" stuffed with cheeseburger contents mostly ground beef and sealed together with cheese cooked until it hardens along with seasoned fries. That was crazy. Already I excited about putting this all in my mouth. The experience was so worth it. I do feel like there could be more cheese, lettuce, tomato inside and the ground beef could be drained more to prevent drippings, but at that moment I overlooked it because I was hungry and grateful. I was nice and full after eating everything. My mother got a chicken quesadilla and she said it was really good. She doesn't say that about too many food trucks so that means something coming from her. Thanks for the great eats on the streets!

This is a good food truck. They have a lot of options for food. I had the pork burrito. It is very big and filling. It was luke warm just because it was so big. I do think it heated up all the way. It came with a salad and nachos which were just ok. Friendly staff.

$10 for a cheese quesadilla? Ridiculous. I understand food trucks are usually pricey but that's just too much.

So I went to plan B: When at a food truck rally, all ways look for the trucks with the longest lines. There were a couple that were long but Manila seemed unusually long. A quick browsing of the menu made me realize why. Lumpia, Pork and Chicken Skewers, Pancit, no wonder. Not only did it sound good it smelled wonderful. We made our way to the back of the line. Wait wasn't painfully long as some folks ahead of us gave up and walked off. Patience is a virtue that will be rewarded. The guy taking orders at one point told us in line that they had to stop taking orders for 10 mins just so they could catch up on the orders already placed. Wow. By the time we got to the stand they had ran out of Adobo (pork stew) and the Lumpia entrees. Luckily we could still have lumpia as a side item which meant we couldn't get 7 but instead 3. Cool. I ordered the Liempo (grilled pork belly) Combo with garlic rice and lumpia. It took less than 5 mins before it got to my hands so they were cranking out some food. OMG everything was delish. The liempo was grilled to perfection. Usually anything grilled needs some kinda sauce over it. This needed none of that. If I could I would just order a platter of liempo and pop them in my mouth like popcorn, very tender and juicy. The lumpia was freshly out the fryer and was hot when bitten into, very good. The garlic was a nice compliment to the liempo. I was expecting it to be real garlicky but it was subtle and pleasant. I definitely enjoyed everything and will be returning to this truck in the future.

We were craving authentic Mexican food and so glad we gave this place a try! It's tucked behind the 76 gas station on Blanding Blvd and has an outdoor area for dining. Super cute area with colorful decorations in the dining area! They even have a hand wash station to clean your hands too! Parking wasn't an issue when we went around 11am on a Sunday. The ladies working there were super sweet, happy, and made sure we were taken care of! We had the following: Birria tacos: 9/10 - I've had plenty of Birria tacos and these were one of the best ones I've had! I don't like soggy Birria tacos, where they don't grill the tortilla for a crispier texture. They did it just right here and the tacos came out fresh, hot, crispy, with a lime and good amount of consume (dipping sauce) on the side. As soon as I bit into one, it was game over! The consume was packed full of flavors and you can taste the heartiness of the broth and fresh herbs and the meat was so juicy!!! The lime added a fresh, acidic element to the tacos and my husband and I enjoyed them every much! I'm still dreaming about them till this day! Husband ordered a lengua (tongue) taco, al pastor (pork), and carne asada (steak) taco. He was especially excited for the lengua as a lot of places don't serve them (the ones that we have tried so far). Lengua taco: 10/10 - He devoured that taco in like two minutes! The taco was filled with lengua and generous on the veggies (cilantro, onions) and lime. Now I don't typically eat lengua tacos as the texture throws me off, but I had a bite and these were amazing! The lengua was so tender and the flavor on them was chef's kiss! I would absolutely eat this taco again! Al pastor taco: 10/10 - His favorite taco and I could see why! The pork's flavor was wow! It was like an explosion of flavors in our months and it was also devoured in 2 minutes haha. They give you so much meat for your buck too! The veggies were packed on the taco as well! Definitely getting this taco again next time! Carne Asada taco: 9/10 - Husband loved this taco and the steak was juicy, flavorful, and grilled to perfection. They give you quite a bit of meat for your taco as well! You know it's good when you're biting it and juices fall out from the steak! I had a bite and it was rich, little fatty, and overall, pretty tasty. Would have rated it higher, but the other two tacos were just a smidge better than this one. Elote: 9.5/10 - I love love Mexican street corn on the cob and oh my goodness! I took a bite and went straight to heaven! It was smothered in mayo, cotija cheese, tajin, and came with a lime. Even with all these flavors going on, you can still taste the grilled corn. The corn was slightly nutty with a hint of sweetness. They also sell it in a cup (Esquites) The prices were super reasonable (between $4-$5) for tacos. They also have other menu items like tortas, burritos, quesadillas, sopas, menudo, etc.) They even have a Birria pizza! We were a little bummed they ran out of aqua frescos though, but it's okay! Next time for sure! If you're in the area, I highly recommend checking out this place! You will not be disappointed!! They also do specials so make sure to ask them for the special of the day too.

We came in on a Wednesday evening. We asked about the menu and were told at the counter that it was Wing Wednesday and the wings were $1 each. Well how could we not add those onto our order. We ordered a Burnt Ends platter with mac and cheese, and corn nuggets, a Brisket Platter with corn nuggets and beans. We also ordered a large mac for my son and a side of lean brisket. For the wings we ordered the Cajun ranch. Our food started coming out in about 5 minutes. Firstly, I was shocked at the wings. I love wings, but they aren't something I usually order often as I find them just OK. There are only a couple places that I visit specifically for wings. Well, let me tell you, I would make a visit back just for these wings. OMG, the Cajun ranch was simply amazing, really addictive. They were my favorite item. We devoured them. The burnt ends were very good. I appreciate they are big chunks of brisket with no pull pork filler. The flavor was amazing as well and the bits of fat melted in our mouth. The corn nuggets were fine and the Mac N Cheese was quite tasty. We enjoyed the meal so much, were were trying to figure out somewhere for a family lunch the next Sunday and came back again. This time my sister, son and I brought my dad. We of course ordered more wings and burnt ends and brisket with lots of Mac N Cheese. The food really is something special. The wings are absolutely wonderful and the burnt ends are a hit. This is definitely one of my new favorite restaurants and will always be on my list of visits to enjoy when I come back to Jax.

The dog had a great snap, the bun appeared to be toasted, and the chili had just the right consistency... more like a hot dog chili sauce than a full-blown chili, which worked perfectly. The slaw was crispy and added a great crunch and balance to the spice. Also grabbed an Italian sausage for my wife, topped with mustard and peppers. The correct address from Google Maps is the same street number, 15070 US-301, but in Starke, which is 11 miles north of the Waldo address. We arrived around 3:30 on a Saturday, aware that their listed closing time is 5:30, but willing to give it a try. There were quite a few meats and sides scratched off the board - it's necessary to plan a day's cook conservatively so there is less waste at the end of each day. It can't be easy to put so many choices on the board with the tight margins restaurants work with. But there were still several things I wanted to try. I got a 2 meat platter with lamb chops and sliced pork with green beans and brussel sprouts for sides. The wife got a pulled pork sandwich and waffle fries. The soda machines were all out, but the teas and lemonades were just fine for us. The portions were really generous. And the meats were all really good. Lamb chops (3) were fork tender. Pork slices (4) needed a knife, but I was expecting that. Her sandwich was easily 1/3 to 1/2 lb of meat. Really tasty. And the sides - green beans were well done and flavorful - southern style obviously. The brussel sprouts were very nicely crisped with a sweet dressing on them. Really good. And the fries were properly GBD. Two sauces - a pretty sweet mustard sauce and a tangy red - maybe half way between Kansas sweet and Carolina vinegar. Both really good, but none of the meats really required sauce. Looking at other reviews it seems they change up the menu pretty often. But I'd definitely stop back in, maybe earlier in the day, to see how the brisket tastes. Or just to see what the choices are for that day.
