Finally made it to a place that I never ate at in all the years that I lived in London. Décor is…read moreold-school Asian, so I wasn't missing out on anything there. Nothing adventurous about the menu, either, which isn't necessarily a bad thing as long as they are well-executed. No problems with allergens, which is often the case. My dining companion and I enjoyed everything that we ordered. Efficient service. Would try it again the next time that I'm in town.

SERVING THIS FOOD TO ANYONE IS WRONG. ESPECIALLY ANYONE WHO IS NOT FAMILIAR WITH MULTICULTURAL FOOD…read moreAND EHAT THEY ARE REALLY SUPPOSED LOOK/TASTE LIKES . The Chinesse food restaurant in London Ontario has no respect for the caucasian who spend their money in their restaurant so When other cultures buy food from these restaurants they get the nastiness that caucasian are used to and accepted. Caucasians are not familiar with other cultures food so when they eat something they think it's so so good ... NO ITS NOT ITS FACKIN NASTY. Don't wash meat vegetables or rice. Don't clean shrimps or any item that goes into your mouth. Also just because one Chinese restaurant calls a dish one thing and another Chinesse restaurant calls it something else do not let them justify it when you ask why why the dish is different from all the others in Ontario. YOUR BETTER OFF EATING AT A JAPANESE VIETNAMESE OR THAI RESTAURANT.

Yum, I was in London for a few days and I came here twice for Burek. The first time I had a meat…read moreone but I didn't eat it right away and I found the dough was not as flaky as I would have liked. The second visit was for a spinach and feta and they didn't have any in the display. I asked and woman working there told me it would be ready in about 5-7 minutes. I went back and they were fresh on the tray. They were so kind to put it on a bag and then tray before putting it in another bag since it was hot. She asked if I wanted sour cream as some people like to eat if with that. The sour cream was a good addition and lots of feta. The size is pretty big and for $4.73, it's a decent price too!

OK, I quite like this place and have lunch here often, but let's start with the negatives. First of…read moreall, their menu is what some might be considered limited. They have bureks and they have drinks and well ... that is all they have. As well, a burek is not what I would consider a full meal by any stretch of the imagination but as a light lunch or snack they're just about perfect. Glad we got that out of the way. Now for the good news - their bureks are amazing! In terms of introduction, a burek is simply a roll of philo pasrty stuffed and then rolled into a swirl and then baked. I only ever choose the (feta) cheese or spinach and cheese - but meat and apple and cinnamon are also available. This is strictly a to-go place but if you have time you should really stick around to watch a batch being made - at least once. A burek and a drink will run you about $6.00 which is very reasonable for the deliciousness you are about to enjoy. It's good times and I fell pretty confident that once you try one -- you'll be back.

A really good Chinese restaurant on the West side of London Ontario, with a mix of dinner dishes,…read morenoodles, and rice and congee. The fish with 1000-year-old egg congee was top notch; the fish was gently cooked, and the amt. of preserved egg was appropriate. The congee base was strong and appropriately thick without it being stiff. The corn and taro congee had a bit less flavor. The pea pod leaf vegetable was nicely stir-fried and retained a lot of heat. My reservation is usually that the veggie becomes too oily, but this time it seemed okay. The stir-fried beef with button mushrooms was top notch; the beef was tender, and the button mushrooms provided textural contrast to the beef. The beef tendon was also really soft, in a really nice way. The shrimp with egg rice noodle is always a classic, egg gently used as a sauce and the noodle with an appropriate bite to it. The place closes down (i.e. the patrons have to leave by 9p) at 9p, which makes for a bit of a rushed dinner, so beware.

However multiple items listed were not available and the price shown was often lower than the actual price. This is misleading to customers. In terms of service the staff were rude and short. They obviously wanted me to order as fast as possible and leave. I ended up with the chow fen And I added extra beef for about 9 CAD. Pleasantly the portion was much larger than I thought and they definitely added extra beef. It is an oily and noodle and beefy dish with good flavor. Not exactly the healthiest but I was craving this and it satisfied the craving. I might come back next time if I knew what I wanted ahead of time so I can skip the rude staff.
