Something to note is they actually have a large dining room, a rarity among Chinese take out. So for the food, beef and broccoli was great, the beef was so tender I mean like butter soft, and the broccoli was good, do wish I had more sauce. Beef sticks were well seasoned and not drowned in sauce, a plus. White rice was alright. Now BBQ roast pork Bao was amazing, so soft was bun, plus the filling, I broke it half and man it was packed, very much appreciated and pork was tender and well seasoned. Beyond disappointed. Looking for a go to Chinese place locally. I did not expect Flushing / Long Island quality but something reasonable would be nice. Wonton Egg drop soup was bland. The Hot and Sour soup was neither. The house Lo Mein was also bland. Too heavy on the noodles and there were just slivers of meat and almost zero pork. They use the tiniest of shrimp both here and in the mini egg rolls - about half the size of a normal egg roll. I stopped by for lunch takeout and ordered the L16 Shrimp Lo Mein ($4.95 plus tax) served with pork fried rice and can of Diet Coke. The shrimp lo mein dish had a good mix soft tender shrimp and vegetables (cabbage, sprouts, and carrots) tossed with firm semi thick noodles, not too oily. The pork fried rice (yellow color) was standard and had carrots, peas, & onions, the fried rice texture was soft and light. Overall, the food was decent tasting and not bad. I am really surprised at the negative reviews of this place...but I honestly think it's all about how you like your Chinese food. I personally like my Chinese food more on the "junk food" side; I like my sweet and sour chicken as deep-fried dumplings with sweet and sour sauce, and I LOVE egg rolls, so I much prefer the crispy ones at Chinatown. They also have the BEST wonton soup, and white rice. I'm pretty sure the current owners have been there about 15 years or so, and in that time I have had 1 imperfect meal, which they replaced. I have no complaints. If you like your Chinese food healthier/more steamed options/lighter on the sauce, check out Asian Cafe. They also have wonton soup heavy on the ginger - not my thing, but maybe someone will read this and it will spark them. If you like your Chinese food saltier/heavy on the soy sauce, check out Food Sing or Red Chopstick downtown.
