Got a small fried rice. Ordered in person and it was ready in five minutes. I ran over to the Publix next door and it was pipping hot and ready to be consumed. Came in the Chinese takeout container that opens into a bowl so it was also easy to eat. Opted to eat it right then and there because I was actually very hungry and the inside seating was also clean. I visited this Chinese restaurant for takeout recently after reading that it was under new management. I got the fried dumplings and Krab wontons as well as the scallion beef entree, fried rice and moo shoo pork entree. It was all ready when it was quoted and was absolutely incredible. The scallion beef was one of my favorite Chinese dishes I've ever had as it was prepared perfectly. I will definitely be returning (or ordering delivery) to try more of the menu. read more

It is to my understanding that this restaurant is under new management. Now, I can't speak on the previous managers but I can say that I am really happy with the quality of the food. I've tried the spring rolls, shrimp fried rice and crab Rangoon. I've enjoyed all the meals that I've had thus far and everything is fresh! Wow, what a great find. Was hungry, was looking for Wells Fargo that was suppose to be in same parking, but now closed, no longer there. Was about to do Hungry Howies (I have a thing for their cheesy bread) and saw this place next door. So glad I decided to eat there. Food was DELICIOUS!!! I had the "Gang Dang", Thai dish, with red curry, vegetables, chicken in a coconut milk, ....WOW, SO GOOD!!! Huge portion. Also ordered the cream cheese rangoons. I will eat here again. People were very nice, not sure if they don't much English, but seemed to understand me, super nice and made the dish the way I asked. Highly recommend this place. So glad I found it. A husband and wife team bought it and they are very committed to good service and great food! I've eaten there several times already. This place is not your typical strip-mall Chinese takeout. It's my single favorite place for this type of food in town. They don't skimp on ingredients and everything has always been fresh. I fancy myself a bit of a connoisseur of strip mall Chinese food, and China Wok is distinctly average. The entree sizes are fairly small, and yellow rice comes standard instead of pork fried rice. I appreciate the egg roll with the lunch special, but no fried noodles, seriously?? Those must cost 10 cents at most to make. I eat here semi-regularly because it is the only option in Southwood, but if you're willing to drive, Bamboo Wok off of Park is much better. read more

DISGUSTING! I had the Kung Pao Chicken with Fried Rice and a Spring Roll. The rice was undercooked and had an odd flavor to it. The vegetables were also undercooked (still crunchy). Eggdrop soup was a jello consistency. Buddha's delight had foul tasting vegetables. Cheese wonton rolls were cooked in old oil and still had oil inside them. Also, they forgot the sweet and sour sauce for the rolls. This was the worst Chinese food in Tallahassee. I am not sure why they are still open, and in Southwood!
