Some of the pieces had strong fishy taste, but it was an old stale fish taste. Menu said it was served with crispy noodles, but it came with white rice. Place is a dive and takeout only. To make matters worse for this experience, I had to wait to get my food as the staff was arguing in the kitchen and not paying attention that people were there for their food. Great food! I had chicken & broccoli, seafood lo mein, and hot & sour soup. The amount of food that they give you was more than other take outs. The to go container was bulging with food, both for the chicken broccoli as well as for the lo mein. The soup of in a regular container but was filled to the top. As far as the food goes.... the lo mein was actually cooked and had a good taste to it. You could tell they actually cooked it properly from the darker color of the lo mein. The chicken & broccoli was also delicious and there are no complaints here. The hot & sour soup tasted delicious as well. It was interesting that there was onions in there but I was fine with it since I like onions. The takeout space was not very desirable though.... I seriously froze my ass off waiting in sub freezing temperatures. I then noticed they had a space heater in the corner but it wasn't even on. If I were the establishment, I would make sure the takeout waiting area was warm enough for customers. The temperatures have been in the teens or twenties so it definitely is necessary to turn the heater on. I would've given them 5 stars if they would've been thoughtful enough to turn the heater on for customers. First time there, the Lo Mein Beef is pretty decent. I asked to go light on the soy sauce and it was an enjoyable lo mein with tender beef. The lo mein noodles itself is very yellow, soft, thick egg noodles which hits the spot for me. I'm from Los Angeles and have had plenty of good Chinese foods, this lo mein did not disappoint for a small to-go place like this. The Kung Pao chicken had all the fresh ingredients in there, even the carrots are fresh cut and crunchy (not frozen)...however they probably use the generic, pre-made Kung Pao sauce (restaurant style) which was ok but there was way too much sauce, overwhelming. Place where I grew up, it was always crispy and the sauce was brown and had a sweeter flavor and was never way overly spicy. Every time I ordered it somewhere else, it was never how I was used to it. Egg rolls were fair, unremarkable. Reheated from frozen. Veggies fried rice was good. BUT the main dishes were awful!!!! Both were watery and tasteless. We called back and spoke to the "manager". She said we must not like Chinese food. What??? We ordered because we do. But this is like none I have ever seen or tasted. We returned the two main dishes for a refund ...with the "manager" complaining to me the entire time about us eating some of it. How else could we taste it? Not to worry.. We will never return!!! Been going here for years becuae its close. The food gas gone downhill drastically. I get house special fried rise which has pork chichen and shrimp with egg and peas carrots and onions. I get it no peas or carrots this time there was no egg and like 2 small shrimp. I feel thry keep loads of pork fried rice made because they put it all combos. This order was dried out. I've always gotten general tso's chicken, vegetable lo mein, boneless pork ribs, and kung pao chicken here but regardless I've enjoyed it. Prices aren't too bad and if you get a meal you're usually given an eggroll and maybe soup too. It's usually made pretty efficiently as well. read more

Despite other people's comments below, I really like this place. I moved in the area a few months ago and love that this place is within walking distance from me. I had a friend stay the night so we ordered a few dishes, the pork lo mein, fried chicken rice and both fried and steamed dumplings. Let me tell you, we ordered the dumplings to share and they were so good my friend ate most of it. The rest of the food was also delicious, we bought pint size entrees and had left overs! The food was subpar but the order of wings was inedible, in fact, absolutely disgusting. They were the "hairiest" chicken wings I have ever seen. The woman I spoke to had a loud conversation (in a foreign language that I overheard but certainly didn't understand) with the cook.
