This place is average. Lots of food. Speedy staff. It's a casual buffet. Great for business lunches

Fast, friendly and very good. Now, you can even order from an online menu. Our favorite Chinese food stop.

It's a smaller chinese buffet. You won't get anything special, but you'll get exactly what you expect.

Not too bad for Chinese food in Madison. They don't overstock their dishes so everything seemed fresh.

It is a buffet, not a sit down restaurant and is far and away the best Chinese buffet in the Madison area.

While working in Middleton, Wisconsin, we stopped into Hubbard Avenue Diner for lunch (right next…read moreto the National Mustard Museum). It ended up being the perfect quick stop during our break. This classic American diner has really cute retro vibes, friendly service, and a menu full of comfort food favorites. I ordered the half sandwich and soup combo -- the turkey pesto sandwich was fresh and flavorful, and the white chicken chili was warm and delicious. They're also known for their pies , so definitely consider saving room for dessert!

The omelette was OK like 2.5 stars with fresh spinach, tomatoes, olives and feta cheese. The eggs were overcooked leaning heavily toward rubbery. Ingredients were as advertised but took over because of the omelette's texture. The star was the biscuit - layered and buttery perfect with some honey. I ordered the apple pie but it had a crumb topping which was very blond in color with a thick underbelly of floured glue! Yuck I complained and was told that this is how they make their pies and if I wanted a full top crust- well only cherry and peach apple have double crusts. Cherry pie did have a double crust and the filling was almost thick enough to hold up my fork! I'm not sure that the cherry filling was not canned. What do you think? Service was excellent my waitress was attentive and very loyal to the business. She stated she told the cook? about my apple pie concerns and proudly gave me a coupon for a free slice of pie the next time I dined inside. I left the coupon with a substantial tip for her service.

This place is basically a wine tasting room first, and then a full bar and a restaurant. The wines…read morethey serve here are basically sourced from juice around the country/world and put together at a central facility in Illinois. Personally, I prefer estate grown and bottled wines from their corresponding appellations, not a central processing facility. It's also likely your waiter is probably gonna make a pitch for you to join the wine club. We came here for the food and to try some of the wine with the dinners. Sitting down then looking at the menu and seeing the prices, my expectations definitely went up. Our very attentive waiter Rory recommended some drink choices and set down a complimentary warm loaf of bread. We started with the sweet chili calamari. It was a very large battered portion coated in a thick Ponzu glaze that was perfectly cooked. I got the prime rib sandwich with a side salad and my guests had the Napa chicken salad and gnocchi. The prime rib had some good medium rare sliced beef, but the aus jus was oddly sweet and it was not something I'd order again. The Napa chicken salad was nothing real special and the chicken was as cold as the refrigerator it came from. As someone who works in the wine business, the sparkling brut and Pinot Noir were hardly worth the price. We all agreed the food was a little underwhelming for the price. Great atmosphere and service but the food and wine doesn't live up to the price point. If everything was half the price, I'd be back. 10 informative photos for your consideration.
