Everything was great. Best Chinese food I've had since moving to the south and I had a company with 5 offices in china. Order was completed correctly and promptly. Only issue was the rice was quantity wise, short. Next time I'll just order and extra rice but I'd think rice needs to accommodate dishes ordered. Not a big deal. I'll be back!!! read more

Food is good. Price is reasonable. Service is fast. We've only done takeout, but we are willing to drive from McDonough to Locust Grove for their food. read more

So uh things have changed... for the better! I think there's some new people running it because my past 3 visits have been on point! I've lived near here for about 15 years and I've usually been disappointed in some kind of way but these past two times this year have been phenomenal. I got the crab Rangoon, bbq spare ribs, honey garlic wings with fried rice and it's was soo good. Might be a good time to try again yall! Cheers read more

0 stars is exactly wht they deserve at this point. It takes up space in a plaza and operates like pure trash...you call...no answer, although it says open online....decided to drive just in case it was too busy to answer the phone...get here and they're not open.....just close tf down already read more

I used to love this place but once the owner retired and moved to Florida a new lady took over that I really didn't like. She wasn't friendly and always seemed to struggle with taking my order. She isn't a round anymore and now they seem to be doing a lot better. Not the same standard as before but I don't have to worry about consistency anymore. If you are looking for a solid Chinese food choice I would still recommend them. Since I have been coming here the past 8 years basically, it's kinda hard seeing the change is service but the food is still good. read more

This was my first time eating from this place and I kept it basic. I ordered the chicken & broccoli with white rice, fried chicken wings, egg roll and fried dumplings. Personally everything had flavor. The egg roll wasn't what I was use to taste wise. Again this was my first time bottom line I do plan on eating from this place again and trying other menu items. read more

This place here is a work of art and not in a good way. A coworker and myself decided to have this for lunch. We walked inside the establishment and it was hot in there first off. We grabbed a menu and checked out the lunch specials. I opted for the general and he wanted pepper steak. We both wanted egg rolls instead of the soup. We paid and I went to the restroom. It was a wreck as well. Smelled like strong TT/piss/ flies all that. I washed my hands and used a soap dispenser that's been refilled so much eww! Went back out to wait on the food. I saw a lady pulling batterd chicken out of a dingy plastic shoe container. Food was ready we went up and got it and headed outside to eat in our truck. The entrees wasn't bad but my buddy had a heap of vegetables in his pepper steak. More like steak pepper. But the egg rolls were horrible. Had like this grey minced meat material in it. Tasted old and not like food! I won't eat here again as this was my first time. I'm good! read more

Had a to go order. Once I got home I realized it was missing two items. I had written the order down and read it off when I called in the order. I called back to discuss possibly coming back to get the missing items (I had not been charged for them) but they began to be argumentative and hung up on me. First and last time for this establishment. We have Chinese once a week and are trying to find some place to go since our last go to changed drastically recently. read more

(CHINA WOK LOCATED AT: 2666 GA HWY 155 S LOCUST GROVE, GA. 30248 ) I wish that I could give this place a negative ZERO...The owners/employees are rude & racist. The food quality is poor & the food preparation habits are below standard & VERY UNSANITARY practices. On my visit today, I witnessed an Asian male (who I assumed was one of the owners) actually working both the cash register also cooking food interchangeably WITHOUT washing his hands). This same man was also seen dipping his unwashed bare hands into a box filled with vegetables & immediately preparing food after I just saw him take cash from a customer at the register...The Asian female that prepared my food did a TERRIBLE job. I ordered the Happy Family which tasted like flavorless, watered down cooking oil not fit for human consumption, and the House Lo Mein tasted old & bland. The meat in BOTH were old & there were NO SHRIMP in the Happy Family... (not that it mattered). HOWEVER, the entire order went directly into the trash with the exception of the egg rolls which were cold and had to be microwaved, (a total waste of $28)...DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY in this NASTY ESTABLISHMENT... read more

I rarely eat "chinese". Every time I do,I reminded why. Mystery meat! Beef, chicken, pork? Likely not. I ordered mine to go with a side of plain fried rice. It was undercooked. I don't understand how food supposedly prepared in a piping hot wok can be luke warm after a 5 min drive home. I get the empression the beef just isnt beef. You all hear the stories. If you take the time to actually chew this crap you'd probably feel the same. Its gooie, slimy even. Coated with something made to mask what you're actually eating. A subtle whiff reveals an unpleasant, rancid or slightly rotten odor. Im tempted to see what the food and safety inspectors lab would think. read more

OMG. Last month I went here and I saw a rat crawling up the cash register power cable. When I told the owner. The owner started to look crazy. Then he said it's ok. It's a good rat not a bad rat. I said ok. Keep the food, I just lost my appetite. Never eating here again. Good rat my ...... . read more

1 Word to describe the food at this restaurant, SLOP!!! This Has to be the worst supposedly Chinese food I've ever had. I sent my daughter to get a couple of plates because we were visiting someone in the area and we love Chinese food ; to my surprise when she made it back , it was awful and I do mean terrible . I couldn't believe that this garbage was being sold as food GROSS read more

I have been coming here for the past two years! The food is authentic Chinese Food. I found out the family who own the China wok are from New York. So, it's a no brainer that the food resembles New York Chinese. I always enjoy their shrimp egg rolls and beef and Broccoli. Every time I order ahead of time, by the time I get there the food is always hot and ready. read more

It was my first visit to this restaurant and I do not have any seriously negative comments. I only bought one thing and that was the chicken fried rice. I know fried rice is a good indication of the quality of any Chinese restaurant. Their fried rice was hot and had an excellent texture. The vegetables and it had just the right amount of crispness without being under cooked. I would have no problem eating this rice on a regular basis. With this said, it can be improved. While it had a good flavor, it needed something else, because it was slightly bland. A little salt or soy sauce would make it perfect so I will do that next time I eat it. The service was very timely. I ordered my rice and within five minutes I had it delivered to me. It is dine in or take out but the seating is just basic. They carry Pepsi products and Sunkist which delighted me because I love Sunkist but they only have it in the bottle. I will be revisiting so I can try some more of their selections. read more

I had two cold egg rolls the worker stuck his finger in one and then told me it wasn't cold and then proceeded to give me another one since he stuck his finger in one and basically waved me off I highly don't recommend this place read more

Tried this place out today. And it was great super flavorful. They have a bit of a hard time understanding you because of the language barrier. But they do a good job. I think people might get frustrated with them so they come off a little cold in the beginning. But once they realized I was patient. They warmed up. And the food was great. Hot and sour soup was on point. Took a menu for my menu drawer. Will DEFINITELY be going back again read more

They're food is ok. Customer service not so much. I called over the phone for an order, they told me to wait 20 minutes so I did. When I came in they had no record of my order. I showed them the number I called and they said that's them but had no order. I had to go to work and could not wait around another however long for them to start over. When I called back, they didn't apologize offer to take another order or anything. I'll not be returning. read more

The young lady that took my cash proceed to the back & scoop rice out of the rice cooker without washing her hands and then git mad when I brought it to her attention. So I ask her to wash her hands and re-make my to go container over. im in healthcare so I really stress how important it is to sanitize or wash our hands. Needless to say the food was ok. read more

Super rude horrible experience. I called and was hung up on halfway through my order twice. They wouldn't tell me my total and the food was disgusting and I found 2 hairs. When I called about the hair they pretty much said too bad. I will never be back and you should probably take your money elsewhere read more

Always great food, always ready inabout 10 min. Great customer service, they have the best spring rolls ans seame chicken!!!! Definatley our go to. Great prices too read more

A nice little hole-in-the-wall take out place with the usual Chinese-American food. The staff has always been friendly and I've had no problems getting something made a certain way. They are pretty quick too. I have made my order there, then went to the McD's around the corner, picked up something for my step-son, and my food was ready by the time I got back. read more

Don't be fooled by this being a fast food restaurant. These folks do a wonderful job and have earned my loyalty as a regular. They greet me by my name and remember all my favorites. I highly recommend the chicken wings. read more

Hot and sour Soup was watered down no flavor and the noodles that go in the soup were stale. The sweet and sour chicken was tasteless and the "fried" rice was bland and the rice was chewy and partially uncooked. The egg drop soup had no flavor not very hot temperature wise. Sesame chicken tasted like honey chicken and sesame seeds thrown on top. I will not go back read more

This place has amazing take out. They do not deliver, but their take out is the best. This is the best Chinese I've had since i moved from Cali. We usually order the Orange Chicken, King Pao Chicken and Broccoli Beef with Fried Rice & Noodles. We are a family of 4 and this will last for at least 2 meal times. I've only ever seen a few young kids eating in the actual dining area, it's nothing fancy but they do have seating. From what I gather it's a popular take out place and they are good about always having your order ready. We go out of our way to pick up Chinese from this spot :) read more

Decent Chinese. The general tso's chicken and egg roll was pretty good. The rice was average. The hit and sour and egg drop soup were not good at all. They were both very bland ....zero flavor. Average it all out 3*. read more

As a resident of Henry County for 28 years I've been to at least 20 different local Chinese restaurants, and China Wok is by far the best Chinese restaurant I've eaten at. The food is always hot, and very flavorful, just the thought of it makes my mouth water. I have had their Singapore Chow Fun, General Tso's Chicken, Hot and Sour Soup, and last but not least their Teriyaki Beef/Chicken on a stick. You cannot go wrong ordering any of the items I mentioned, but as good as everything I've had so far, you probably can't go wrong with anything on their menu. On that note, I'm going to place an order for some General Tso's right after I publish this review. :) read more

This may be the worst Chinese I've ever had. Had the chicken fried rice and my wife had shrimp fried rice. The food was bland, I mean zero flavor. There was no egg or onion in the fried rice. Actually threw most of it in the trash. Bad dining experience. read more

I would give zero stars if possible. I ordered sizzling rice soup to go, got home and had a container full of dark broth with mostly broccoli and the sizzling rice packet was full of Rice Crispy cereal, yes actual cereal. read more

I ordered the Gen. Tso's Chicken and it did not disappoint. I love the sweet beginning with the pow (kick to the throat) mild heat to finish. The egg roll was fried to perfection with that crunch to every bite. The rice was good, but lacked any flavor, but nothing duck sauce, soy sauce, and some of the drippings of General Tso's couldn't fix. The tea was good and cold, but was either steeped long time or sweet tea is not the usual drink of choice (had a settled taste of long refrigeration time). The price wasn't bad, but I have seen much better prices at lunch hours. Overall, friendly staff and great food would bring me back to this restaurant. Note: Location made me chuckle. Chinese restaurant next to pizza joint next to Fitness Center. read more

I love this chinese restaurant! The food and price is always perfect. I'm a big fan of vegetable fried rice (without those sprout things) and vegetable egg rolls. So I call them with my order in advance and its always finished within 15 min. Also let me add the people are so nice :-) read more

Not reliable. Irregular hours of operation. Never picks up phone. Food is decent if you actually get an order in.

I have no complain whatsoever. Got the General Tso's Chicken lunch special. fried rice was made fresh and never got stale or dry throughout the day. The portions are the best ive seen for the price anywhere near here. the amount of chicken they gave was good enough for two meals, for me at least. The hot and sour soup had more than enough veggies, tofu and eggs. I would also say it was a lot of soup for the price. It wasnt watered down either. Service wasn't perfect, but I had take-out so Im not too mad at it. Overall, its the best chinese Ive had in McDonough so far. The portions for the price was the best. I dont think i can get as much food for 7 bucks anywhere in town. read more

Been eating here for years. Nice people with tasty food. Always have my order correct & made quickly. Definitely a favorite.
