    S1a. General Tso's Tofu
    Sorb D.

I am on a quest to find the best general tso tofu and so far nothing had really come close to, or beat, my usual go to spot- but China Taste changed that by providing a pretty decent tofu. Other places I've gone to usually have a problem with making the sauce too sweet- happy to report China Taste does not have this problem! I was also pleasantly surprised by how small the tofu was cut. The pieces were perfectly sized and very uniform, which is ideal for me, so honestly extra points. My only issue with it was that it was more expensive than my go to spot's tofu, but it's not like you're gonna be breaking bank y'know. So while I do not think I have found the best general tso tofu quite yet, I think this was a pretty solid contender. Besides the food, I really liked the interior of the restaurant. Usually other Chinese places I go to don't have like an actual seating area, but they had a whole little dining area and it looked really nice. The workers were really efficient/fast, and the girl who took my order was polite! So no complaints on the service. All in all, I would probably go back and I do recommend if you want some good tofu.

One of the worst Chinese restaurants I have been in my life, maybe the worst. This place is 5 minute away from my home but still I'm never coming back, it is so bad that is not worth it. The smoke pork ribs were absolutely terrible, super dry and bad flavor. The pork egg foo young was nasty. I love Chinese food but this place is the worst. Their fry rice is a joke, you get rice with soy sauce pretty much. Good prices but terrible food.

    Tempura shrimp from pupu platter.

I am not at all sure what happened tonight, but none of it was good. We love a good pupu platter. This wasn't one of them. The shrimp were so over cooked that you could've bounced them on the floor. The batter wasn't even sticking. It looks like a 3 year old cooked it. The chicken wings were similarly dry. My husband, who is the polar opposite of picky, had only a few bites of his orange chicken before he pushed it away and wouldn't eat anymore. Again, terribly over cooked and dry. I'm sorry to say I won't be back.

Consistently good, shrimp are large and fresh, eggrolls are crisp and not greasy and it is fresh to order a fast.

Delivered through Uber eats. Dumplings were super soggy and not good. Noodles were ok. If ordering delivery it's not worth the price

After searching online for the best Crab Rangoon near me, House of China kept coming up repeatedly,…read moreso we decided to give it a try. Before visiting, I also checked their most recent Florida health inspection from May 14, 2026, which showed zero violations. That immediately gave me more confidence because cleanliness and food handling matter a lot to me. The restaurant is located in an older strip mall and honestly looks almost closed from the outside because the windows are dark and you cannot really see into the restaurant. Once inside though, the experience was much better than expected. The dining room was spacious, very clean, and much more comfortable than many smaller Chinese takeout spots. Staff were also friendly and our food came out fairly quickly. We ordered: - Orange Chicken with White Rice - General Tso's Chicken with White Rice - General Tso's Chicken with Pork Fried Rice - 8 Crab Rangoon - Pork Egg Roll The General Tso's Chicken was the standout item for us. The chicken had a good texture, the sauce was flavorful without being overwhelming, and the pork fried rice had a lot more flavor than most places nearby. The Orange Chicken was also very solid and tasted fresh. The main reason we came was for the Crab Rangoon. I appreciated that they actually included real crab in the filling because many restaurants skip that completely and just use cream cheese. Ours were slightly overfried for my preference, but still enjoyable overall and definitely good enough that I would order them again. The pork egg roll was probably the weakest item. The flavor was okay, but the inside could have been cooked a little more thoroughly. Overall, this feels like a dependable neighborhood Chinese restaurant with clean operations, friendly service, and solid food. It may not be flashy or trendy, but I would absolutely return, especially for the chicken dishes and Crab Rangoon.

Pros: -broad menu…read more-good fried rice -good lo mein too (flavorful) -friendly over the phone -good portions Cons: -too much breading on shrimp (kids got the cashew shrimp, the breading was way better) -had to call to order (could not find an online ordering option) -crab rangoon were okay (seasoning is kinda off) Wish I could give it a 3.5 stars. It is okay but not great but not bad either. Maybe I will try something else next time?

I waited until I was in the area and tried it. I was so impressed that I made a 2nd visit before I made this review. Located in a strip mall west of 275 on Fletcher, the menu is impressive. Once I disvovered, over 20 years ago, the treasure trove of authentic chinese dishes available at many chinese food places. I seldom order the cookie cutter American versions so many people find familiar. This place has Sichuan and Northern Chinese food. The ambiance is perfect, never too loud. The wait staff are young and pleasant. Very helpful and attentive. Plenty of free parking. My first visit blessed me with two cravable dishes that frolic in my mind joyously. The Handmade Noodles w/ Ginger & Scallìon and the Shrimp Rolls. The noodles made fresh every morning were luxurious on the palate, soft and silky with a perfect amount of heat from the chili oil and a subtle fragrant flavor that wooed the senses. The small crispy Shrimp Rolls bursting with delectable flavors was so enticing. I could devour those non-stop. I also had the Tea Smoked Duck and that is the only item I did not relate to. A bowl of seasoning is provided for you to dip your duck pieces as you ate. The duck alone had no appealing flavor. The flavor came as you dip the duck in the 5 spice. The issue was each bite tasted different, too little spice, too much spice and at times the perfect amount. I would much prefer for it to come flavored and spice by a pro in the kitchen so every bite was good. I tried a Choya Plum wine that was pleasant. My 2nd visit began with Sichuan Crispy Chili Wings. Delightful flavor, tossed with chili's, garlic and cilantro in a spicy sauce. An enjoyable amount of heat, covered in that tasty piquant and crispy sauce. The kicker was the addition of a few chunks of fried potatoes also covered in sauce. My sides were some low mein noodles and an amazing string bean dish stir fried with crispy garlic, minced pork and a chili sauce. A must try item. Again, a dish with spicy heat at a perfect pitch. The main attraction came in a small wok over a lit burner and is Griddle Fish. The same dish is also available in about 10 other protein choices. A fabulous dish that had wonderful textures and flavors. The fish however was mushy inside. Likely made with Swai or Tilapia which I detest since they live their lives in excrement. My fault for not thinking before I ordered since I had so many other choices. Delicious if you can get past the inferior fish quality. The desserts were marvelous. Cream Brulee Cheesecake and Yuzu Beignets. Rich and delectable. Beautifully balanced sweetness factor. Wife loved them! Cravable food is everywhere due to the chemicals fast food places use to trick your brain at the expense of your health. To find food you crave because of cooking mastery and the genius blend of the food, herbs and spices...well that is special. This is a special place. COME GET YA SOME!!

Even when it was brought to the table- the food looks good and promising! I was sat right next to the kitchen and to my astonishment, everyone in the kitchen was speaking Spanish!! I always say, THE BEST CHINESE FOOD is always prepared by CHINESE PEOPLE! Nothing against Spanish cooks, but if I'm coming for AUTHENTIC CHINESE FOOD, I want to know that there's someone back there who grew up eating the food they are preparing! With that being said, you can absolutely taste the Spanish influence! I have NEVER had fried rice that is covered in CILANTRO!! What?! The fried rice tasted like Spanish rice. We also ordered the General Tso chicken NOT SPICY. I heard the cook tell our waiter, "you gave them them the wrong one, you gave them the spicy one, did they say anything about it?" My white rice also had a dead bug in it!!! We didn't say anything because we already knew we would not be coming back here. So we just paid for our $83 bill and left, unsatisfied.. and went straight to Dairy Queen for chicken tenders Very disappointed as I had high hopes for a good Chinese restaurant.
