Lunch Sweet & Sour Chicken

When in Anthem, I have to visit China Tango! It's in a great shopping center where I can run multiple errands and reward myself with a hot, fresh, and delicious lunch. The food here is always cooked to perfection, the restaurant is clean, organized, and the service is top notch! Please support this local small business that has amazing and affordable lunch specials, quick delivery, and the best staff!

I can't believe I haven't written a review for this place yet! I love China Tango! I ordered from here a few weeks ago for delivery. And I love that it comes with so much food. Usually I have enough for myself for at least two meals, which is great. And the price is pretty fair for that as well! This past time, I ordered the orange peel chicken and then upgraded my rice to fried rice. The fried rice was delicious! And I love their orange peel chicken. Glazed to perfection. So tasty! And they always throw in some fortune cookies, too. I need to try some other things from here, too, I have done the chowmein before, but I just can't stray from the orange peel chicken anymore. It's too good! Their delivery is also super fast, which I love, too. Definitely recommend trying this spot for some chinese takeout.

Th staff are always friendly and provided us with plenty of sides and drinks we came for the Lunch Special and it was a good amount of food. We ordered the Beef Peppers Steak, Orange Chicken and the chicken with Pineapple YUM!

No thank you. Ended up eating here for Chinese new year, and maybe it's bc I recently ate at Spring (see that review), but even without it, it just wasn't great. HK style chow mein, sliced bbq pork, and I chose wontons for the free gift I guess you'd call it. I ordered online. I don't recommend that. It told me the time my order would be ready, when I got there it wasn't. I guess those orders are faxed in. They were super busy, and she hadn't seen it yet. I got a free drink for waiting. Smallish place, kitchen staff works hard. Someone's constantly coming in or calling. I ate a couple wontons before getting home. They weren't too bad. The chow mein was the best thing. I liked the veggies. The pork had a weird taste too it and I know I'm eating out but just too red/too much dye. I ended up throwing it out the next day. It was just off. Though the chow mein wasn't bad, it was nothing I'd go back for. As fast food type places go it just wasn't it for me. The reviews had me try it tho and this time they were off.

We got take out for the first time here and everything was great. We felt that the prices were fair and we had enough of each dish to have leftovers for the next day. The staff were friendly and the food came out when expected. The restaurant itself is nice inside and we'll definitely be ordering take out again and likely eating inside as well. I would definitely recommend China Tango.

My family and I have been coming here to this location for about 10 years. The food has always been phenomenal. I've never had a bad order. The food is always made to order, always fresh! The service here is absolutely impeccable and always has been. The servers are attentive and friendly. It's a quaint location and very clean. Jason is very professional, polite and knowledgeable. This is the only Chinese food I will consistently recommend and always the one that comes to mind first!

China Tango is still one of my favorite Chinese food restaurants. It's great for dine in or pick up. They have really good lunch and dinner specials that include a variety of food. The service is quick so you can be in and out if you dine in. The food is made fresh to order and it's usually ready within 15 minutes of ordering. Anytime I have a craving for authentic Chinese food, I come to China Tango.

Tons of seafood. Very herbacious broth. I got brisket noodles. The beef was tender and well seasoned. The noodles here are made in real time while you watch. The are so much better than anything store bought. And the broth was so good it's mostly what I ate. In total we were like $75. We left full and with leftovers. Me and the other girl on the crew decide just to do some take out Chinese food and eat at the hotel. The hotel has a good set up for using their plates and utensils. I found this China Wan Wan on the Yelp and GPS, they looked like they had good food to go. I call in our order, just 2 items, we don't eat a lot like the big guys do. I ordered the Singapore Noodles and the fried Chicken Wings. They said they come spicy with lots of onions and peppers. OK, sounds good to me. We get there and the order is ready, just outta the kitchen. I can feel the heat coming from the bag. Back at the hotel I plate the food on the hotel plates. No reason to be uncivilized and eat outta the boxes! The noodles were hot and had lots of onions in it. I asked for lots of onions. The wings were nice and hot as well, so crispy and nice! We both decided this was enough food along with some beers I had in my room. After dinner, my phone rings ... I guess they guys ran outta money!

It makes me sad to write this because I really loved this place for years. Ive been going since…read morethey were tucked away behind Vons. I think the combo of covid and moving to a larger space put undue pressure on the business because the prices keep going up and the food quality is going way down. I went on Friday for the first time in many months. They had an entirely new menu, with a lot of new items and higher prices. I ordered my favorite, the soft shell crab fried rice. Normally this is amazing but this time it was very bland and the crab was not fresh, at all. This is a shareable item, but $55. Crazy! We also ordered a new duck item. Half duck served crispy. This was a more expensive version of the same exact dish I got there before. Nothing new and nothing fresh as this just tasted bad. I love duck and I had to smother it in sauce to get it down. The only thing that saved the meal was the panang. They always make this well and this time we sprung for the upgraded rib option, which was very good and the only thing that didn't taste in the verge of expiration. The menu is nice and creative but it seems like the same items just not fresh and more expensive. I'm wondering if they just aren't busy enough and holding food longer than they should or using frozen items that you can't get away with passing off as fresh. I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon. At these pricea and declining quality, there are much better options, which is sad because I really liked this place and have gone so many times over the years.

I went in about 3:30 so I could grab a lunch special for my eventual dinner. The lunch special was a VERY full styrofoam container with friend rice and an entree as well as a generous portion of soup. I played it safe with beef broccoli and was more than happy. I also ordered some egg rolls because I love NY style egg rolls (very big and battered before frying) I believe I ate it over the course of 3 meals and still ended up tossing a bit of the leftovers. I'm guessing that's what makes this restaurant "New York Chinese;" meaning, the diversity. We're old enough now that we can no longer eat much at any one sitting, so we had a lot of leftovers. The Lunch Menu is just $10.75 and includes the crisp nibbles as a starter, a generous serving of rice, a big bowl of soup and the dish of your choice. The Hot and Sour Soup was full of goodies; it was VERY generous. As much as we both liked it, I wasn't able to finish mine. Neither of us could eat all of the rice and entree. I had Kung Pao Chicken and I enjoyed it very much. I don't claim to know "authentic" Chinese food; I just know what I like. My husband had some beef dish and, like me, couldn't finish it. The beef was tender, not dry and tasted good. We will return and, now that we know how big the servings, we'll try to order better and leave less waste. Yes, there is limited seating but there was a steady flow of customers coming in to pick up their take-out orders.
